These clothes are a bit too....urban...for Philly boy. He's best sticking with the Zelda jammies; he can customize them with different styles of ear wax stains.
Yeah this just confirms the midlife crisis. He acts and thinks like he's having a midlife crisis, he's in denial. He dresses up now like every day is a vacation because he just wants an escape from his life. Don't care how "happy" he claims he is, even the happiest guy in the world can have a midlife crisis, that's not Phil, he's not happy, he's the complete stereotype of a man going through crisis because his life sucks and he realizes there's nothing he can do to change it.
I agree. I find it rich that he critizises clothes when he dresses up like a balding bootleg Ace Ventura (Dentura) every day and wore Zelda jammies on stream during the day before he craped in them.
lol I never saw that part, but the zelda jammies are straight up the saddest pants I've ever seen. Hate to be that guy but no middle-aged man should be caught dead in that kinda stuff. I don't have many clothes, but the only "tacky" one would be the golden retriever shirt from Hangover II. Only time i've worn it was getting drunk with buddies decade+ ago. Everything else is plain white or black T-shirts; same for jumpers; tracks for at home - jeans for outside. Vans, Nikes, idk. Outside of shoes I never really enjoyed branded clothing - and absolutely hate wearable merchandise. He can't even look like a normal person if he tries.. its great.
He said that his mom combed his hair until he was 16, and that’s why his hairline is so atrociously bad. Not even kidding lol he said that completely in Ernest
He scoffs at $75 for a tangible, usable article of clothing, but expects $100 a day for.. sitting around playing video games and shit talking people? Make it make sense.
Phil has some nerve talking about what he wants out of collectibles. The only thing Phil’s old collectibles are doing is collecting dust in his nook waiting to be put behind a paywall.
I love how Philberto's only frame of reference for anything about fashion is what he and his Connecticut Crew used to do and wear back in the 1940's when he actually left his house and interacted with humans from time to time.
Just as his fighting game fundamentals are from 20 years ago. Its insane how someone can live for 20 years playing videogames without noticing any kind of change.
@@junglered2009 I was about to comment the exact same thing. The random emphasis where it doesnt belong and his weird pronounciation are annoying as f. And also him not understanding what words mean.
Admits he gets all his clothes from thrift stores. Talking mad shit for someone buying used clothes. Also Phil has spent $70 on a single doordash order for a firehouse sub.
$140 for an outfit that you'll potentially have/wear for years, but for only $10 more you can see me REE wear glasses, a hat, AYUND a vest for an hour or two. Sounds like an easy choice. Sound good? HINT HINT
The Guy would probably call me a morahn for ordering a hand-sewn leather jacket for $300 because I can just get a jacket for $30 at Walmart. Yet, The Guy turns around, and spends $100 a pop on worthless digital goods on WWEC. At least I can show off the Jacket, The Guy has to keep his victories and passion a secret.
@@Skull_E_Duggery 300 dollars would be fine if he didn't beg for it then destroy it. I have a expensive leverless and treat that like it's made of glass
@@Owlsnerf he acts as if he's no on video slapping and hitting the joystick and waggling it around then looks to his dents asking "why dosent it work? This thing is a piece of shit" after saying it was one of the BEST arcade sticks he ever owned when he debuted it
@@Skull_E_Duggery Watching him abuse the stick is baffling since everyone else I know in the FGC treats controllers really well. At locals I have lent my controller out to people I don't even know since people are always sure to not damage them.
"I don't break the bank when i go shopping" -But he's 100% breaking it for the same stupid looking haircut every week and all the hogans jpegs he can snort
DSP: My shirts are all full of holes, all my clothes are old. Same thing for most of my equipment, most of it is a decade old like my mouse. Also DSP, literally under oath: I spend 5,000 dollars to 7,000 dollars a month on my business alone. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE
I got these leh-gos for the stream, do you guys know what leh-gos awre? Let me be completely honest these were expensive *hint hint* and I’m not shure if I can Afford to keep doing this without your buy in *hint hint*
this is the guy that confuses "name-brand" with "designer" and he wants to tell you about fashion, not only that but wants to dictate the cost of fashion and exclusivity. of course you've never heard of "streetwear" dsp... I'm constantly asking myself what children dsp is even seeing and interacting with that aren't on his stream (derich). this was such an extended dsp segment for a simple collab clothing item not marketed toward him. like he said, go buy a statue and eat a meal my guy
But if one of his dents buys this for him, you know he's going to wear it on stream and hype it up, maybe add a tip goal where he will stand for a moment and show you the sweat pants
“Tie-dye was all the rage in the 60s & 70s.” Phil, communities to this day hold events where families can go and do tie-dying together. It’s not a fad “from the past.” It’s still around.
I've noticed that when Phil have a take on Anything in the real world..he most often shows his ingnorance or cluelessness to how things are out there. And furthering cementing peoples view on him...
It's incredible how I've seen your style of commentary and the art of your character evolve over just these past few months while DSP is about as different as water in a bucket spawning mosquitos from the aether sitting in the sun for four years
The very concept of saving money is kryptonite to this guy. Instead of spending the 40 and saving the 100, he just went straight to spend all of it on different shit.
Just yesterday I watched an Atlus vid in which Phail pigsplained the number 55. Now today he’s doing the same for the number 75. How stupid does he think we are?
I know the company Phil is talking about, they're called Shibori Threads and they usually do tie dye, metal style clothing. It's clearly not marketed towards an alcoholic style individual like The Guy.
Why does he care so much about what people wanna buy? I’ve spent decent amount on a sweatshirt for an artist I like. Such a dumb thing to be annoyed about
I do kind of agree with his point about the artwork. Capcom could’ve easily commissioned some talented artists for something new to go along with this collaboration. But then again, he’s not exactly fashion forward. When LTG told him to “focus on his sexy,” his gin-brain autocorrected ‘sexy’ to ‘schlubby.’
I'm more convinced that DSP now thinks 18-25 year olds (assuming that's the target audience) are kids. Literal boomer cosplayer. No wonder he refuses to learn any of his stream setup. It has to be that he's playing a backwards boomer. Has to be.
damn i feel called out here, usually will catch me in oil stained sweatpants and t shirts from work unless there i feel like looking presentable for whatever reason. then jeans and denim jacket
I wouldn't personally wear "work clothes" in my house. But some of the chemicals and materials I work with are hazardous so maybe I'm in a special circumstance
5:01 I bet you’ve got some mythical, supernatural hearing… I wonder what DSP truly could be if you say he’ sounds foreign or alien LMAOOOO also big ups Atlus📘🧠💀💪🏾 Edit: 10:49 Philliam😂😂😂
