Phil was clearly born in the wrong era. He'd have amassed ungodly amounts of wealth if these were colonial times with the amount of salt he's producing.
@@Txguy998 I can't even imagine Phil getting drafted into WW2. Going through basic etc. Maybe he'd move to Europe so he could fight in an authentic Italian-style army under il Duce.
@@Summerstitch539 He'll wait until he can announce that Khet left, so the second income is no longer there. He'll need to raise the tip goals to make up for the loss...
“why am i getting hit, i was in the middle of blocking!!!!???” he cries, as the sounds of him mashing buttons on his 200 dollar arcade stick echoes through the room
Yup. It's human nature to take the path of least resistance. If doing the simple easy tactic is working, then they will continue to use it. Because it works. Only Phil would think working harder not smarter is a good thing lol.
I'm not a fighting game player so perhaps i'm wrong, but i've seen him accuse his opponent of being a "masher" then immediately afterwards accuse them of "playing a pattern" surely those two are mutually exclusive? You can't be rabidly mashing buttons while also playing a preset pattern. And that just shows that it's all just a massive cope from Phil, a way to excuse his losing.
Whether people think he deserved it or not him being able to get master is what makes these type of streams so great. It boosted his ego through the roof to the point he truly believes he’s on the same level as the pros. Losing to plat and low diamond players will always make him explode with rage because in his eyes he’s a master level player and these people shouldn’t even be able to compete with him let alone actually beat him.
19:22 Are you kidding me? He attempts the exact same thing THREE TIMES in a row and fails every single time. I'm not even a fighting game player and this shit hurts me.
This is what happens when you have no friends , a buddy I play with and I where on for honor and he was getting angry because a nabushi was spamming light attacks to kill him he said "that nabushi is so fucking trash bro they suck so hard dude! All they do is spam the same light attacks over and over I can't do anything!" To which I said " if they are so bad and only using the same pattern then you should know what they gonna do and beat them east right?" I've never heard him say that stupid shit ever again , phills problem is he never had any real friends call out his stupid behavior and embarras him , this is why yall think he's a alien why he's so weird , he's never had any friends.... its kinda sad actually
All Phil has to do is parry or counter with his own fireball. But he always plays fucking lily or blanka which is a horrific matchup. Not to mention Phil has never used A.K.I's snake slide
I love how sometimes when he goes "Why am I getting hit!" he lifts his hands from the controller, and looks down at it in absolute shock like it's going to tell him why. 11:00
I love how he's having a meltdown because you have to play as a character and put time into them in order to learn all the "nuances" and how the character works/doesn't work. Except he's presenting it as if this shouldn't be the case and the game is wrong for having you play like that. Even in street fighter he very openly wants things just handed to him. Pathetic.
He was bitching about Ken's fierce punch beating "everything" but Aki's light punch blasts through anything Ken does and then leads into combos and drive cancel. But he was too busy raging his nuts off he doesn't experiment
@@1Onsokumaru1 Bold of you to assume even if he knew that he wouldn't lie about it anyway like he always does. Whenever he gets DI'ed he rushes to blame the top tier characters. Like bruh, DI is the fucking same for everyone and everyone can counter it. Guy is a compulsive liar and sore loser. Forget experimenting.
I am a gigantic street fighter fan , but every version of every game the characters have different frames , hit boxes , defenses , combo setups , I used to span Akuma in as many versions as he’s available . Now I figure out what exactly I’m playing before I pick my character and to who I am potentially fighting and even try to learn characters I don’t really care to learn or prefer to play over my usual picks to see vulnerability from the opponent side.
He sounds incredible! Such a shame... If it wasn't for Capcom, the FGC, rollback netcode, and his controller RIGGING every. single. match. He would be unbeatable! 🔥🐽🔥
This channel has been my go to every night lately, man he is so miserable. I feel for those controllers. I need money, but I'm not blaming you guys, but give me tips please.
Phil looked more dead inside tonight than I’ve ever seen him look before. That man is DEPRESSED and so angry. The divorce arc is causing Phil’s salt levels to rise to catastrophic levels!!!
Depression doesn't mix with anger that's what I find odd about Phil self mentioning himself having depression when he's raging and attacking others. Depressed people wouldn't be streaming 6 times a day with a day off per week to come back with a daily bitch. Depressed beings would have low mood, not be talkative or very socail able. Phil is the opposite of a Depressed person and just uses it to guilt-trip n manipulate people to tip n Phil his greedy n toxic needs
Yeeeah, I dunno about that team divorce. He doesn't care about Khet as he did for Leanna, and Kat herself is a potato. I think it's a major health scare this time, as it affects the narcissist directly
watching him play a character that actually requires a minimum level of skill to play and seeing him get obliterated truly is some of the best SF6 content ive seen
This is what I was trying to explain to the MK fans when they were saying MK is way harder than SF6. Phil is just as bad at a StreetFighter and him trying to play A.K.I. exposed how bad he really is at the game. He's only able to win with characters who can spam forward advancing neutral skip moves like Headbutt, Blanka Ball, and condor spire. When he actually has to play a character as technical as A.K.I. that can't neutral skip his piglet brain can't comprehend anything, he crumples, and his gameplay resorts to just mindlessly neutral jumping and jumping forward all game. This is also why he can't climb with Zangief or Dhalsim and dropped them immediately and the only way he could ever hit master with this character is by grinding enough because the flawed ranking system of SF6 allows you to hit master rank if you just keep grinding with an average 50% win rate.
He didn't even try to play all SF6 characters too. I'd love to see DSP try (and spectacularly fail) to play Cammy, but given how close he is to just ragequitting the entire game, that's probably not going to happen
Funniest thing dsp don't realized that if he use dp snake skin he can get out of the corner with aki but of course he don't know who to play characters who very technical or you have strategic to play as that why he is only decent with people like honda and blanka
He only "succeeds" at characters that like you said have moves which skip neutral and enable a semblance of his SF2 way of playing. Even in ST you'd see him only ever play a character like Vega in that game because Vega was wildly fucked and cheesy to score wins with due to how his walldive and neutral pressure worked. You'll never ever see Phil play a single character he "mains" from ST in other games if they require more effort or technical execution to succeed with. If SF6 ranking up wasn't so easy as long as you commit to the grind he'd be hardstuck Gold, maybe lower Platinum in a few years time. He doesn't adapt to opponents, in fact I guarantee you if a mediocre player had a FT10 with him then they'd ultimately win the set because DSP never changes his gameplan no matter what fighting game he plays. It's why he gets demolished in KOF/MK and soon Tekken. He's a one trick that worked really well in one game from 1994 and never evolved further.
He has no footsies. He doesn't know how to get in doesn't know how to open people up and most of all, he has zero defense. I don't know where he gets it in his head that good defense is reactionary. It's almost entirely based on calling out your opponents offense by making reads. His problems are just amplified x10 in MK because that's the meat a potatoes of the game.
Y'all remember when Leanna left Phil and he was screaming his face off at MvC Infinite? This level of rage and salt is why people think it's divorce arc time
Fighting games bring out the worst in him because this is the only thing he is decent at. Thing is, he fails to realize he isn't as capable as he thinks and games evolve. This time, however, he's stuck because nobody, not even casuals, play the collections, so he *has* to play SF6, especially after raging at MK1.
Tbh, the current rank system is pretty good overall. It just gives a slight advantage to people who play more often (so long as you're close to a 50% winrate, even if slightly below it, you will keep ranking up for as long as you play), so people who play 8 hours a day will get to masters so long as they're not absolute garbage. And end of the day, DSP and LTG are not absolute garbage - they even competed in the past. They're obviously nothing to write home about, but the same goes for nearly every other Master player. People generally regard the MR league as a better measurement of skill since that no longer applies there - you have to win consistently to climb and anything 50% or below is not enough. imo the rank system in SF6 is good because it keeps pushing people up and that makes everyone better at the game over time. Unless they get the rank and never touch ranked again because they're afraid, of course.
@@redmagebrthat’s good to know I guess. I see so many diamonds with under 50 percent win rate and I’m baffled. I’m at around 54 percent for my Chun Li and a little bit higher for my Cammy but I’m still in Diamond 1.
@@yomi_jeremy3964 You are in Diamond 1 because of where you qualified initially. Your win percentage is inflated with wins coming in the Gold and platinum level. As you play and rank up eventually, your percentage will drop because just about everyone does. The Diamonds that are below 50% have been in Diamond for a long time and have plateaued, or they qualified too high and have been getting beat down in high platinum and low diamond level.
I play the game once every week or two and I'm plat 3 and my win rate is at 60%. All this game comes down to is figuring your opponent out. I could care less what character someone picks ect. I have gotten stomped on casuals and sure enough, even if I've lost numerous times I eventually start destroying them.
After a whole day of playing with Aki, this video is even more amazing. He keeps playing her like a mindless rushdown isn't using her tools at all. Absolute insanity.
Phil struggles in Diamond 1 with A.K.I, meanwhile, Justin Wong reaches Master with her in just 7 hours after launch. That's the difference between pro players and DSP
"Went over the fireball" Uh, yeah. The cyclone kick does that. Since SFII, I believe. Edit: Saw the end of that fight. Lost to a guy that raw input his Critical. Evo 4th Placer lost to a beginner.
4th place at Evo on the worst version of a Street Fighter port and he got to Masters using cheap and scrub patterns those "patterns" that he loves to trash about
Him and wings are god's at this. They know every play. They sit you down before the round begins and explain to you everything the enemy is exactly about to do down to the route they'll take and their first attack, they'll explain how to counter it and why their plans are bad because DSP and wings are ultra strategists. They understand the enemy like a book and all they do is read them each round and that's why they're untouchable. But then they get caught off guard and get killed immediately because neither of them know anything and the ability to constantly speak like a commentator detracts from their lack of skill and for them it's way more worth it to appear as someone who knows everything but got caught lacking by a cheater or god level player (they're interchangeable to these guys) because the person does something they didn't expect or haven't seen before or are sick of so they ignore it and as said that's infinitely easier than going "crap that dude was good"
Man it's a good thing he spent like $500 for that joystick and PS5 online so that the game doesn't lag or constantly "drop" his inputs. 😆 I don't even play this game and I can see every move he makes is predictable AF and he's just jumping around and moving backwards to corner himself literally every single match.
Another thing, everytime he complains about random jump-in's after he does a fireball HE CAN DODGE THE JUMP IN. All he has to do is input a special move. actually trash at the game
So he freaked out earlier and acted saltier than ever so the dents give more money...that's why nothing will ever change. We all knew how much of a dick move it was to ask to hit the tip goal once a day and then after doing that, he asked for twice a day, and he acts like a baby so the dents buy every word. And he hit the goal for like a week straight. While his manipulation is so obvious to us, the dents just can not see through that iron curtain.
If the divorce arc is real and Kat really is packing her saddle and getting ready to leave, it's just another show of the kind of person DSP is that I can guarantee you, all this anger, depression and upset is more than likely to be about the detractors eventually finding evidence of it all and making fun of him than it is about his momwife actually leaving him.
Impotent rage in human form He's so angry and can't do anything about it lol you really shouldn't be that angry of a person if your also that big of a coward , its a recipe for a miserable life... all phill would need to do is chill the fuck out and just accept he's not a "master" and just have fun but his unearned ego is far too swollen for that
It’s the pre-loaded excuses that really crack me up, he’s not even focused on the fight cause half his brains capacity is ready to spam the excuse button 😭
Phil needs to understand if you keep encountering people who are better than you...and your inputs don't work in every game you play...MAYBE IT'S A YOU PROBLEM! But he won't accept that because it requires him to accept he might suck at a game. Which he won't.
You’d think with the amount of wake up supers he does he’d realise that when in burnout he can super a DI to not get stunned instead of being like “nothing I can do I have no drive meter, games bullshit”
How do you feel as a fan after that? Says, "Fuck this, and fuck this, I'm gonna fucking concentrate now and fucking try to win. Fuck all this stupid bullshit", while just throwing away the hat and glasses that they paid to see him wear.
@@UncleAiresnah man. It's a hard thing to address because of stigma around word and censorship and how hard it is to discuss things openly these days, but their legitimate fans are genuinely heavily autistic people usually a little young who have unhealthy fixations and genuinely believe these people to be amazing and it largely stems from their ability to focus on nothing other than what's Infront of them. A lot of these people have legitimate mental issues and they bounce between a small few types of entertainment and to them nothing else exists. They live for this. The younger ones watch and talk all day about them at school and are glued to their phone all evening watching. The older ones are barely functional within society and hold down low end realistically unimportant jobs where they often discuss how they spend their working hours watching the streams. And like this isn't a hurr Phil attracts regards kinda comment, quiet the opposite, it's just that those are the kinda people who get glued to stuff like this and they already identify with a sense of victimhood so when you discover someone who you kinda enjoy and they're constantly Screaming about how unfair everything is you're gonna let that resonate with you and further identify with the creator, therefore tightening the loop of ensuring they will watch this guy because it becomes a duty where they're backing up and socialising with people in their same self made self perceived predicament when in reality they're living in a bubble but as mentioned they do have legitimate mental issues so you can't walk around bursting these peoples bubbles they can barely handle life outside the home. Someone like dsp who on the surface struggle's for so much yet never gives up and sticks with what he loves, but is kinda funny looking and sounding like with wings, wings just wants to do what he enjoys and make money while doing that, but people won't stop bullying him and ruining his games, but is absolutely massive and constantly jiggling, literal autistic people identify with this stuff and get sucked in. And I'm leaning heavily on autism here but don't get me wrong that's a generic placeholder for a multitude of disorders that affect people in these ways and lead to the developing insane unhealthy non sensical obsessions with horrible people. It could be a case study. These people need help and guidance in life but all they find is dsp, wings and the likes. Sorry that this is so long but it's something that people should really start addressing.
First match into the video and I've already identified Phil's problem, he's blocking as a reaction. He should be predicting the incoming attacks and block ahead of the attack coming out.
Phil has a fixation for things "earned" or "impressive" or "intelligent". As if he cares more about looking flashy and good towards his viewers instead on focusing on winning... for which then he gets absolutely mad, loses concentration and gets beat up even by the most basic combos. Excuse me, "pattern play".
As someone who’s not a fighting game enjoyer (so I don’t know the exact mechanics of the game) it just seems like he can’t deal with anyone who plays aggressively into him. No matter what character he plays he ends up pushed into the corner and brutalized. 🤔 🤨
So you have to block highs while standing, and lows while crouching, and you have to block in the correct direction, e.g. an attack from the left is blocked by holding right. I guarantee that he is either pushing a button, which starts an attack, and you can't block during an attack, or he's not blocking correctly. Also, he doesn't do anything to make his opponent keep their distance, like throwing out a long normal or a sweep or something. He let's them do this.
Oh and I forgot, this game made proximity blocking less annoying so the old heads are struggling not to walk themselves backwards. It used to be if you were holding back, and the opponent attacked, you would block instead of walking backwards. Now it blocks only if it makes sense, so instead of blocking these old dudes that can't adapt are walking into the corner instead of blocking.
@SkeleTonHammer there's pros and cons to both, but yeah, phil is probably fucking up his inputs. I don't think he's used to playing on stick. Like yeah, there's more travel, but you're using your whole hand and not your thumb.
That's just him every game. He blames the game for backing himself into a corner. Even if the area is the size of a football field, he ends up in a corner it's amazing.
@@SkeleTonHammerhe uses a stick because it's what he learned fighting games on in the arcade. As sloppy as he is with this, he'd be 10x worse on pad. He just doesn't practice and is in his 40s
21:54 Yes, Phil. Because they’re not claiming to be “learning the character” in an online setting where others have already taken the time to learn the intricacies of their characters, including A.K.I., whereas you spend the entire match trying to brute force a win and throw out whatever you can, like those supers, to even the playing field again. I swear this isn’t even worth the troll tips people give him.
