I see you painted your wheel hub carriers. That drove me mad that new cars in the showroom had rusty hubs. Same on my Seat Ibiza and after 8 years winter salt the rust got into the wheel bearings and killed them.
Nice one. I saw this on your other channel as well. Now I am sure that a lot of cars are shipped like this and prob the new Clio is the same and its mostly fine for city use but i would have thought they would have beefed it up on the Duster 4x4 version. I like what you did. One question how easy did the felt trays come off ? Were the retainers screwed or a once only push on fit. Good video.
@@DusterCoolTravels it really depends on what and how much you apply. With only resin it would be the same as now. If you also apply fiberglass mats it can have flexibility anywhere between that of soft plastic or hard wood. Really depends on the number of layers. If you ever owned a fiberglass boat you know that some parts are kinda flexible while other parts are very rigid.
@@DusterCoolTravels To my understanding skid plates are *rarely* (not to say never😁) flexible... What Dacia did is more likely protection against flying stones but not against hard contact / touching the ground. Did you experienced some contact in this area with your former Duster?
