DV Lottery Greencard
Are you a DV2024 winner, especially from the AS region - well you need to watch this video. The CEAC data was published yesterday, and I have promised to produce a video for each region to explain what I can about how the next few months will go. In this video I explain what numbers are in a safe range and what factors make me suggest that range.
Please remember, these are projections - very much an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless. I am not 100% confident in these numbers and I don't advise anyone takes these projections as a certainty.

Why does Nepal always get the lower case numbers and go current? Wouldn't that be unfair to the rest of Asia?

Nepal and Iran get more selectees (in the lower case numbers) because they have far more entries. At a certain point the system starts rejecting more winners from Nepal, and that's why they only have low case numbers. But it means that an entry in Nepal has LESS chance of being selected than an entry from the rest of Asia. It is simply a matter of more entries = more winners. How is that unfair?

@@BritSimonThat's fair enough, I guess the rest of the people that were feeling the same way as me just thought of it in a way like if we were to be selected in Nepal, then it's pretty much safe to say we will be getting the 2NL, without realizing that there's way less chance of being selected in Nepal in the first place.

with all due respect, but how on earth are they gonna cut asia at about half the max CN, i mean if asia in 2023 had 26000 max cn and they got to 21000 which mean about 81% of the max CN and you're saying that this year will probably cut off at 22000 which is 51% of the max CN, it's just doesn't make sense to me. well i know i have no chance i'm at 41.5k but 22k cut off seems very unreasonable for FY2024 if you ask me

There is unfairness in Asia to be honest. Especially for the bigger chance that Nepal is getting always. My case number is 23K from Iraq. And I am %100 disappointed after watching this video. It is better not to be selected at all than having a high case number.

@@BritSimon thanks for your reply. Iran and Nepal selectees will get current before everyone, that is my point. And it is unfair that out of around 9,000 Visas, almost 5,000 are for these two. If you consider the population and everything, this is unfair in my point of view.

If you got together with 1million friends from Iraq and they all entered the lottery, then Iraq would look like Nepal. It is simply entries. That's all. Nothing unfair about it. No one is stopping the people from other countries entering...

@@BritSimon trust me, in Iraq many people are applying every year. See the graph, out of 3,800 selectees, 3,500 Nepalis were issued a VISA. And this year it will go current for sure. I might be wrong regarding this, but I felt it was unfair to see 3500 Visas for Nepal out of 9000 Visas. However, all of us should thank you always for your contents and explanations, you are doing a great job and everything you say seems legit.

This video is disappointing for everyone specially for iraq people , when i saw the schedule and this man said all people in iraq get the 271 visa this number of visa is not good for high case number cause we have 1348 selectes in iraq , what about 30k and 40k and 25k this schedule got me surprise!!!

More what - I explained in the video that there is some risk starting at about 17k going up to about 25K. So - you have some chance, but a lower chance than lower numbers. Also your chance depends on the embassy, which I also discussed.

It really makes my heart broken because my biggest dream is gone. There is no chance for a higher number over 35*** in other Asia regions? It is not to be selected is better for us. Why they did only give 55000 Green Cards and make over 140000 select winners 💔 Whatever thank you for your effort. God bless you and your family.

They say they over select in order to ensure they use as many visas as possible. However, the increase to 140,000 is crazy. The correct number to allow for refusals, no shows, non responses and so on is about 100,000.
