I've been going to see Dwight since 1986 and every single time Pete has blown my mind. Dwight's current guy Eugene Edwards is great and gets most of Pete's licks...but Pete is *killer*. He invented these riffs. I've spent way way too much time working on learning these parts myself! Until I saw this video I was still not sure if that was Pete doing artificial harmonics, or a pedal steel. I should not have doubted The Master. It's really hard to pull those harmonics off as cleanly and strongly as Pete does.
Dear Lord, what a voice! I became a huge fan after my then GF won 2nd row tics in Orlando. After hundreds of concerts, that's still one of the best ever, what an entertainer.
I've been hooked deeply for six months don't know how I missed him as I'm from Kentucky too. He's a humble man with good family values, and smart very smart. Beautiful family but took him awhile to marry he's very respected by do many. I'll enjoy him forever now
Absolute favorite song of all time. It’s stunningly beautiful. I had the pleasure of seeing him live in Lubbock, Texas just last week. Even at 65 years of age, nobody can hold a candle to him. ❤️

I met my beautiful inside & out Wife 11/02/2001 at Far West Rodeo in San Antonio, TX during an awesome Dwight Yaokam concert. As fate would have it my date blew me off so I took my Dad which scored major points, especially when I found her a chair to sit on when they were all taken. It took me a while & some begging & pleading but thankfully I wasn't the only Gentleman there that night. We've been happily ever after since then :-)

One of my most favorite songs from Dwight is "I sang dixie" we played this song at my dad's funeral in 1993, we felt it was the perfect son to send him home as he was an alcoholic and only 55 years old when.he died. Thank you for the great song Dwight Yoakum!!
