Somebody said once: Kids look under their beds for the boogyman. The boogyman looks under his bed for Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris looks under his bed for Lu Bu. And Lu Bu looks under his bed for decent oponents.
***** Screw skill. Hit Lu Bu once and run screaming into the hills. Come back later and hit him again. Seriously, hit-and-run was the only way to beat this monster.
This is definitely my favorite Lu Bu theme for a simple reason. It's not a theme about fighting Lu Bu, it doesn't have that feeling. It's more like a theme ABOUT Lu Bu. This is the most that his theme has ever actually been HIS theme and not a theme for encountering him.
His other music is what you hear when you fight him. This music is what Lu Bu HEARS when fighting YOU. Army of peasant warriors running away in fear: "HE- HE'S GOT TH-THE AIRPODS IN!! RUUUUN"
OddBallCanadianGamer unless you have balls of steel and find being knocked through the air fun XD he really is a blast to fight once you learn all your moves and his you truly feel like a warrior of the three kingdoms each of you blocking and striking in a frenzy
Anyone who dueled this guy in DW: Next while he was on a side of Rank 100 player knows, that this is the song that embodies a pure determination. Every time I listen to this I feel like I can go through hell and back.
Yes it does. It amplifies your stats. With defeat of every faction your opponents amplify their stats as well. Meaning the worst it can get is the last capital battle with rank 100 opponent. Having a high rank yourself at very least makes first battles with the same rank will be even. The best strategy is to defeat the opponents with highest ranks first so they wouldn't get impossible after other factions defeat. If you just started and you, like, Rank 1. And you got yourself in a final fight with a player's army rank 100 - this is almost unwinnable. The duel alone will take you half a day while you be cutting toothpick HP slices with each hit your opponent will be able to 1-hit-KO you. Having 100 rank also makes you a harder opponent. Even if you won't get a Leader role in other players table as long as you have at least one custom character you may appear as a general that is very hard to beat thanks to this rank boost.
I think this theme might actually beat ALL of his old ones. It's has a new beat but is still able to keep his epic badass theme in it. Koei who ever you hired for your music the pass... 13 years, you never disappoint.
He goes by the name Masayoshi Sasaki, or sumply - "Masa". He has been here sicne Dynasty Warriors 3 and set the theme of the heavy guitars in the franchise. The other composers involved basically try to follow the themes he set when he was 28 y.o. :)
*LuBu shows up on the battlefield LuBu's theme play's* SCREW THAT *you turn to run but in the faint distance you hear sephiroth's theme in the other direction*............well im fucked XD
Those moments when you fight Lu Bu that every time you hit him you run away to save and go back to hit him again you do the same thing over until he dies :) My life in DW 4
Gotta be the coolest Lu Bu theme I've heard since DW3..... definitely going to enjoy it while I'm hacking Lu Bu away(or the other way around)!!!! And Lu Bu finally looks decent. Your eyes won't get too busy compared to his older outfits.... although, his DW6 outfit was nice too. For those who hate his new outfit, there's always the option of turning it back to his DW6 version.
I remember starting dw8 and in the first mission for wei you had to run from Lu bu, and i used Xiahou Dun ( my favourite guy) so i felt like i could take anyone, and so i killed a few troops to get a few levels before i decide to go for Lu Bu. He literally 3 hit me :S weirdly enough i still ended up screaming out loud when he killed me xD I should've expected i
the first dw game i played was dw5. at the battle of Hu Lao Gate i learned don't take lubu lightly like if he was normal general. his difficulty in the game is based on what mode, weapon, and lvl you are at the time
19sephiroth81 I use that moment as a challenge for myself lol seeing just how long i can hang in there with him before having to run. usually it's about a minute before he bitch slaps me into a cart or a wall nearly insta killing me
LU BU is my favorite in all Dynasty Warriors cause he was the first one I used n then it was Zhou Yu, Sun Ce, Zhang He, DiaonChan, Sun Ce sister n another's so I just love n enjoy all the Dynasty Warriors games n want more!!!!💕💞💖💙💙💛🧡💚💜❤️
Lu Bu isn't as scary as he used to be. In DW3 I was truly scared shitless of this guy , now though, he's been nerfed a lot and it shows. He can't kill you in two hits anymore.
Well during the times when your not actually supposed to beat him he can 1-2 hit you and doesn't flinch for anything but when you actually have to beat him to win he's about as weak as any other general.
***** That's why I've always found Honda Tadakatsu to be scarier. The times that Lu Bu wrecks your shit are the times you're supposed to just avoid him. The times that Tadakatsu are powered up though (not that he doesn't already haul ass when he isn't) are times that you usually have to fight him to progress, which usually leads you to running in circles building up musou from being red HP :S
Sethyboy0 Yeah the first time I faced Lu Bu in Wei's story mode I thought I was supposed to beat him...so I basically used that strategy, it felt so cheap yet I beat Lu Bu in as early as the third level so fuck yeah.
***** Back in DW4 any character could use a bow right? So i made my little brother join me whenever id play hu lao gate and whenever we got to lu bu we'd both split up, and just keep spamming arrows at him till he died xD Another tactic we used was to run by him on a horse and just try to hit him and then run away, both took ages xD The red hp musou tactic was only done when neither of us cbffed playing it safe
So excited, can't wait to play as Diao Chan and fight alongside Lu Bu, I love how easy it is to tear through the map even with AI Lu Bu on Hard mode or up! =D
This is the best Lu Bu theme song so far.....Lu Bu will have the people in the world tremble before him and his theme songs will have all the songs in the world tremble before it......
i still consider beating this man one on one on normal difficulty wuth cao cao as my shining achievement. it was on the level where bu betrays old pops and you are to get out quickly. I decided to stick around to see if I could take him and after idk 20 minutes of being knocked around the palace while knocking him around he finally fell. I had a high level sunflare officer assassin++ and a few big health boosts and was barely doing any damage. dude is wild with attacks and I swear it felt like I was watching a monster movie with monsters knocking each other around with how bad it got. must have run around that palace a few times trying to stay away enough to have time to raise my guard in time. if you consider yourself a dynasty warriors master give it a shot dude is nuts.
Wow, this is extremely epic. In one day i watched as the views grow, and in a day this song got 10,000 views. Im proud that everyone is just as excited about this game, the music, and well...everything.
This Dynasty Warriors game is my favorite yet! Lu Bu's theme in this one is probably one of my favorite's too. Even though I am a total sucker for this series (my friends don't understand why I buy game after game haha) I can't wait for the 8th. I assume they will be making another one soon.....I mean why wouldn't they, they haven't stopped yet haha. Wonder when it will be released though;
CAO CAO:Listen carefully. Do NOT pursue Lu Bu! Me: (PURSUES LU BU) ALSO ME: (UTTERLY DESTROYS HIM CUZ IM ON BEGINNER WITH AN OP WEAPON) CAO CAO:How u kill Lu Bu? Your the best fighter ever! ME:Bruh......
Lu Bu just doesn't have the same presence now as he had in earlier games. The proper introduction of the Jin faction just pushed him further down into a past irrelevance.
Have you even played DW8? He makes Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Liu Bei look pathetic in their first encounter with him. In Xtreme Legends, Lu Bu has his own story. How is he irrelevant?
***** Can't really speak of Xtreme Legends since I play on the 360... but consider the following: Fighting Lu Bu is nowhere near the challenge it used to be in earlier games. Back then he was rightly feared. Now, beating him is just a matter of course. Irrespective of his cutscene achievements, he just isn't as tough in-game. Now more to the point, given that the story has been very much expanded upon, not only does Lu Bu only remain relevant for a much shorter time near the beginning... but contrary to earlier depictions as an unstoppable devil of the battlefield (probably at their apex in Strikeforce), all his more foolish actions and eventual demise are highlighted now in stark contrast. Of course Warriors Orochi 3, non-canon as it may be, just makes him seem horribly outclassed to an extent that it is tough to even take him seriously again.
SotiCoto Yes. Yes he is. He is still challenging and is still feared. The >ONLY< Dynasty Warriors game he was easy to beat was DW7, and that's because he gets bored and lets you win. In DW8 he can flat out OHKO a level 50 character. And, Lu Bu's defeat at the hands of Nezha were for a multitude of reasons. Has to avenge Diao Chan's death, a REASON to fight, survive the Hydra, fight off through the Orochi horde, ALL BY HIS SELF, with no rest whatsoever, obviously he will be outclassed by a regenerating cyborg. Of course, once Lu Bu finally gets some rest he singlehandedly defeats Susano'o and Nezha at the same time. Take off those nostalgia glasses pal, Lu Bu is still the same old Lu Bu.
SotiCoto Clearly you haven't played DW8, much less on any difficulty higher than normal. Lu Bu is the single most being in that game with the highest chance to kill your ass. He has a number of moves that are unblockable and straight up OHKO you. Lu Bu not being "relevent" is just outright false. He's the main character of DW8XL, literally has his own story mode and the Wei and Shu storylines have more to do with him than they ever did in past games.
Xaldin007 "Clearly". I mean clearly I just got 100% completion on it through just looking at it intently until all the achievements popped. ¬_¬ Like I said, I can't account for the Xtreme Legends version since those lovely folks at Koei generally don't release those for the microsoft consoles... so I don't get to play them. Still... Lu Bu is not a threat in DW8. He might hit quite hard, but it isn't like he is difficult to take down even on the higher difficulties. The complaints of the NPCs that I should avoid him at Hu Lao Gate were comically needless.
Being serious, i would rate this 2nd of Lu Bu themes, behind DW4 and in front of DW6. DW4 was different and awesome. This is awesome but too different and DW6 was awesome but was too short per loop.
They really should make a HD collection of this. It's too hard to find these games to buy I've only played DW3 and fell in love with the franchise but I was never able to play the other ones for PS2 because I could never find them to buy or rent T.T. Now I don't have a PS2 anymore (broke last year), only have a PS3 :/
But that's what I'm talking about is hard to find games of the franchise to buy, at least where I live, and if I'm to import DE gane it will be way more expensive.
I only fund just now, DW8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition and it's only for PS4. Can you explain me the difference between the regular DW to Xtreme Legends? I really don't get it. At first I thought it was just like Kingdom Hearts Final Mix versions of the games, but it clearly isn't since my DW3 is the XL version and there's a lot of things that I cannot do if I don't have the original disc...
I just like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms history, that's why I like DW, don't really like Ninja Gaiden or SC 😅 I don't have a PS4 so I still won't have a way to play the game... About the "same history" thing. Are you sure? In DW3 I don't remember Lu Bu dying. Like the campaign ends when we defeat Dong Zhou and that's it. Plus we didn't had that new dynasty they introduced in one of the games, I believe it is called Qin dynasty? This series confuses me a lot because I always thought that they were continuing the story of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms till Lu Bu's death, bit them they kept releasing the games...
It is said that Lu Bu's theme song is only played during cutscenes of his because when against him the music turnes to the "Losing" theme and when on his team turns to the "Winning" Theme.
