@@ДэвидБауи As far as i've known, the Fall of Shu in every version, every story will always be triggered by Guan Yu, by his own arrogant towards the enemy. Besides, Guan Yu better at battle, not defenses.
My favourite Kingdom to play as had always been Shu, they're the underdog but arguably they have the best goals and intentions in mind for their overall campaign. In some ways they're always like the Starks in Game of Thrones, bad things sometimes happen but they keep their honor and the sense of who they are no matter what.
@@LuffyxNamiisathingtruthfully the main factions are Wei and Shu in the games AND the books we hear so much more about Liu Bei and Cao Cao but we really don't get to much information on Wu and Jin comparatively. But yeah my favorite faction has always been Shu. Liu Bei and his righteous goals of benevolence has taught me so much about what being a truly good person is about. Obviously in history it goes a bit differently but the main ideas for those ambitions were still there. But I always love hearing everyone's favorite kingdom and character 😁
Shu killed itself and Guan Yu ruined relations with Wu by his treatment of Wu, acting on his own without Liu Bei knowing, and stealing supplies from Wu. Sun Quan even offered a marriage proposal to save face after Guan Yu's mistreatment of Wu but Guan Yu instead insulted Sun Quan and denied Guan Yinping being married off thus angering Wu even if Sun Quan wanted peace. Hell Sun Quan didn't even want to kill Guan Yu but it was the only choice because Guan Yu would want revenge.
Yeah I think how Guan Yu responded to the marriage proposal was not the right way. Where he could have said "No, she is not ready yet". Or just let Guan Yin ping respond and have her father send that out. Also Zhuge Liang restored relationship with Wu after Battle of Xiaoting/Yiling
Shu had many incredible generals, but somehow, they didn't have luck. In history, Liu Shan didn't acted like in game, he was worse, and slow Shu down. But anyway, I love Liu Bei's time, he was really great :)) Just no luck, but he made a golden age of Shu. :3
and that's the reason that i actually never finish romance of the three kingdom even once despise reading it in so many version/language and countless time, for me Romance of the 3kingdom end at the Fan castle, and it's really sad.
In records, Liu Bei rides a horse called Hex. Legend has it that the horse grants ill future to those who dare to ride it. Xu Shu warned Liu Bei and advised him to sell it but the Shu leader just simply laughed. Funny, they partially blamed the horse for their misfortunes.
TheIGITnBLUE nah it s just poor execution but chinese fortune is no joke , they are there to remind them to be cautious and Bang tong m great strategist fell the cheapest trick , and ambush in the valley.
Before the scene : Guan Yu to some random archers : - When I say "We are now sworn brothers..." you will shoot a couple of arrows over my head so I can slash it making my entrance cooler, you got me ?
I would love it if they had wtf endings in DW9, Shu breaks the 4th wall & some of the characters were playing DW on PS4 in modern day setting, Wei gets visited by aliens & they conquer other planets together, Wu has a Jpop/Kpop dance sequence to the music & jin had actors performing for a movie.
For once, Xu Shu has sass. 25:24 The way he seemingly spat "My lord" is how I interpreted Xu Shu saying "It's called strategy, something I'm going to use to save your ungrateful ass.
***** are you so fucking brainless that you're applying real-life logic to a game where the subject character used by the player can easily kill several thousands?
gabe228 Let's just say it's a waste of time talking with you , i have read so atleast 4 times romance of 3kingdom in 4 different languages and when i play DW8 I am so hype because R3K is already epic yet with awesome design make the game even more epic , but it's still a goddamn game , did you think that all there are only pangtong , guan yu and guan ping that are dead? "it's doesn't take much to kill a warlord , an arrow and that's usually the case" is actually the truth , there are at least 20 warlords who got kill (cause by) a goddamn arrow.(we leave the overkill part ofc). Cyrano , strongest in dual , die because of brick , Lu bo die becuase of his arrogant. (why did i even bother!?)
Liu Shan was smarter than he acted. He pretended to be dumb so the Sima wouldn't execute him and let him live in peace. Liu Shan outlived Sima Yi, Shi, Zhao, and Yan.
The first time you encounter Xu Shu, just beat him. Then, play the stage as normal until Liu Bei says stuff about wondering where Xu Shu went. Just search for him in the burning boats before fighting Zhang Liao and you'll find him eventually. I recommend picking Zhuge Liang for the battle for the sake of extra dialogue when you see him.
No, they are all in order. Certain parts of events (usually the ending) only happens in hypothetical success/failure. Pang Tong dying is one of them. I put notices of parts that only occur on hypothetical success or failure in annotations, since I did not want to put the same event up twice.
One of his Major contribution:Come to Chang Ban with fresh troops to hold the Cao Cao's army that were after Liu Bei and prepare the boat for Liu Bei's escape
mostly in Shu kingdom, the DW series (before this series) always focus on trio oath vow, and now it's extended up to zhang fei and guan yu descendants, till jiang wei also as playable character, too bad they didn't include southern campaign against meng huo
Guan Yu was beaten by Cao Cao and Cao Ren at Fancheng, his greatest defeat if you take into account that Guan Yu was winning and had several thousand elite troops against Wei's exhausted army.
I hate that Guan Yinping Dies in the game she is introduced in. Oh well, the story outcome changes with each game. I'll raise a glass in hopes of a Dynasty Warriors 9. Hopefully they don't needle dick around with it and just make like a Dynasty Warriors 9 xtreme legends (Empire)
Shu wasn't necessarily weak cause by 220 they were the strongest of the Three Kingdoms. Just that Liu Bei for some reason wasted his advantage by attacking Wu. Had Liu Bei pushed his advantage against Wei then he likely would have captured Chang an.
Control of Jingzhou had really nothing to do with Guan Yu, he was simply the general tasked with defending it. Those decisions fell upon Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang. ROTK states that Liu Bei consistently dismissed Sun Quan's emissaries asking for control of Jing, which forced Sun Quan to take it over militarily. There is also another version which is Sima Yi requested that Sun Quan attack Guan Yu's flank to lift the stalemate at Fan castle, letting Quan take a city as war loot.
Still wish this was English dubbed for the console, I recently have gotten in to this series.. Peeked my interest. I've been only playing this non stop. FUCKING LOVE IT
Who the hell cares? Atleast it is actually pronounced correctly. I don't really noti- Ohhhh. Still, the pronunciation is supposed to be that way in Chinese accent.
I swear, it seen like the dynasty warriors in Japanese Is the same for the English version it sound like the Japanese voice actors speak both English and Japanese in 1 go
No, he stay with Liu Bei. Then Cao Cao tried to use Xu Shu mother and try to get her to write him a letter asking for Xu Shu to come join him. Xu Shu mother wouldn't do it. Then, one of Cao Cao's officer was befriending Xu Shu's mother. He then learn her writing style and fake a letter to ask Xu Shu to come visit the her. Being a loyal son, he go to her. When he arrived there, she was furious that he believe a fake letter and lost a good lord. She then commit suicide by jumping in the well. End.
@Megumi Bandicoot not really,. First, Wei has never been the puppets of Sima clan like you said, until the late period of Wei which will culminate the fall of Cao Shuang. Anything else, It only concerns the regence and control of Wei's imperial court. At the moment, Wei was ruled by Cao Shuang, when the emperor Cao Fang was too young to rule the kingdom. So the decline of Wei was inevitable, hastened by Cao Shuang, unfortunately. But Militarily, there are no difference between Wei and Jin except the fact that officers in the kingdom were faithful to the Sima clan now. And Before that, Wei was the most powerful kingdom, has successfully contained many assaults from Shu and Wu and especially at decisive moments since their defeat at Chibi. (Hefei, Fan castle, northern campaigns like Jieting or Chencang, Hefei 234, and of course Wu Zhang). If the Wei won' t be totally victorious in the war against Shu and Wu it's true, we cannot say for all that the Shu and Wu really defeated Wei, sorry. I can recognize that Shu had formidable warriors, but it's the same thing for Wei. The truth its that the Shu kingdom has his own weaknesses : an incompetent ruler (Liu Shan) with a lack of discernment (but it concerns Liu Bei too especially for Yiling, also Zhuge Liang/Ma Su and Jiang Wei ) and an unreliable ally.
Actually in real history Liu Bei fought on the frontlines during the battle of Chi Bi. There were no supposed agreement on the fate of the Jing area either, Sun Quan simply claimed that Jing was his because of Sun Jian's historical rule over parts of it and his tragic death conquering the area.
Nice attention to detail adding annotations to explain the cutscenes. I see you caught on to the confusion that people asked when looking at the Japanese version. :D
Jiang Wei: You have defeated me. Come, take my head! Pang Tong: So kind of you to offer. Mind if we leave it attached to your body, though? Old man wisecracks. Reminds me of my Dad. XD
So dead characters from DW7 is showing up to still be alive in DW8. So one of the cutscene such as Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Guan Yu is defending the village from Yellow Turbans in DW8 just like in DW7.
i like both wu and shu, wu because from the sun family and shu because from the guan family, infact i like all of the officer in both kingdom, i don't really like wei or jin kingdom that much but some character from these kingdom i still like
And guan yu would have been alive yes and there would have been an alliance but that doesnt change the fact that shan was emperor and they made peace later on anyway so the only difference would be that guan yu would have been alive for a bit
I seriously think liu shan is literally like basically lucifer/the devil.. He's creepy, suspiciously calm, but what really drives the point home is when he encounters jiang wei.. Just look at that scene (around 32:00).. You can see it in jiang wei's eyes when he glances at him, he's practically going "What.. The.. Fuck?..", and the inflection/way he says "his words quieted his heart", almost like, oh, say.. Mind control~?.. Either way, he's creepy and evil. XD
