Yes this is exactly what mine is doing. I’ve cleaned my filter. Brushes not going around. I saw sparks coming from the brush area, so I think mine is the circuit board. Thank you. 🇬🇧

Helped me solve my problem with hose having almost no suction. Did the check you did with the canister off and suction was great. Cleaned all the parts, replaced and same issue, but noticed when the hose flipped to the wand it wasn’t making good contact. Couldn’t see anything from either end so stuck my finger in and felt some fuzz. Pulled it out and and out comes small piece of crumpled up cardboard came out...problem solved and works like new. If you have a problem with suction keep looking!

My mom bought one of these 2 months ago and it's already giving her problems. I'm going to try some of the things you did here....Also, after looking through forums and message boards about Dyson vacuums, the consensus is they are horrible vacuums and definitely not worth the price

The beater motor only comes on when you tilt the handle to vacuum.

The brush does not spin when the machine is in the upright position. To check whether it is working, you first have to tilt the handle into the reclining position.

just keep it clean man were you using your boots to operate it

Please, refrain from cleaning all of the parts with any detergent or cleaning product! This is a warning, as you could be compromising the parts. The only part to be cleaned under cold tap water is the filters, in which they should then be left to dry for 24-48 hours, so it does not damage the Dyson. Just a heads up😊

Thanks for the video. I just bought one of these at the thrift store for $25.00. As a retired maintenance mechanic, I'm less than impressed with all the over engineered plastic parts and what it takes to convert it to use the wand. My old shark, you'd unlatch the pi pipe and it was done. The switch on this machine is wonky and sticks. I need to pull it apart and do your upgrade. The beater bar won't turn off.
