Thank you so very much ...I have a DC24 ..Had no suction ..did everything the internet told me to do and was stumped for sure..came across your video and it worked !!! The hose was clogged with a hair clip and that had gathered up dust and dirt. I cannot thank you enough..My DC24 is working like new !
I had a feeling that hose was the issue! I got a knife, and wiggled it off, put the knife down the tube, and wiggled it as well, and I dislodged a bottle cap from months ago! 🙄😂
You're a lifesaver! My DC24 lost suction a few years ago and I watched several videos trying to find the clog, but everything looked clear. It sat in storage for a few years because I didn't want to throw away a $400 vacuum. I decided to try to fix it again today and almost gave up again, but watched your video last. Took that little hose off and found a bottle cap inside blocking the suction. Everything works perfectly again! Thank you!
Thanks, very helpful. On my Dyson, the clog extended into the lower hose as well. You can pry that off from one side and use your finger or a screwdriver to clear the clog. The vacuum is working like the day we bought it eight years ago. Thanks again for this video.
THANK YOU! Just had it shipped to another province for repair, and it still didn't work. Watched your vid, found a small piece of metal in the hose,. Fixed! Awesome! You are awesome!
Thank you! My problem was not that that hose was clogged, but the one right below it, attached to the brush was not attached completely, losing the seal and hence, suction. Working like new now! Thanks again for your problem solving!
Brilliant. Not sure what was clogging. The vacuum worked when using it normally but no suction in the hose. The little hose came off fairly easily. BINGO! All unclogged and works lovely. So thrilled, thanks very much for posting this.
OMG you are AMAZING!!!!!! I've done everything and then I came across your video. Thank you for saving me money with having to go and buy a new vacuum!!!!!!
You are an ANGEL!!! I finally found this video after MONTHS of frustration, anger, and despair. 😣 Thank you SO much for posting the video, my lifelong dream of being handy, is no longer over, before it even had a chance to begin. 😁
Thank you so much watched your video after giving up on the Dyson web site and it did the trick, found a small plastic curtain hook plus a load of fluff. Its working perfectly thanks to you .
Thanks, found our issue. We could not take the whole hose off but with moving the lever stuff that was blocking the hose fell out. Got to wait for the filters to dry to make sure all the suction is back!
Ha! Thank you so very much. Saved me a few pounds calling out the Dyson man...only for him to spend less than five minutes to fix it...only took me a couple of mins...bottle cap...i don't even remember vacuuming it up! Yippeeee...thanks again!
Just like you, I was ready to chuck mine out. I cleaned everything, check everything. Thank you so much for your video; sure enough, there was a massive amount of compacted fluff stuck in the hose.
Thank you so much. I couldn’t figure out how to get to that hose. I pretty much figured that it was the problem, but I couldn’t get it out. You saved the day!
Finally!! Thank you sir! I watched all sorts of videos and couldn’t find the issue. Went to the store to buy a new one and they were out so I tried again. You saved me $400!
Just to add there is another hose between the head and the Y as described in the video. That's where I found my blockage. A piece of torn cardboard with the Dog and cat hair to finish it off.
Excellent. I was thinking about replacing mine as well. Same tubing where there was a bunch of blockage. Cleared it out and works like new. Thanks for the Video
I AGREE! I tried all the other obvious solutions and was about to buy a new vacuum when I found your post. I took off that little hose and found a clog that went all the way down into the ball support. This should get top billing!!!
My guy I was literally literally ready to throw it in the trash I'm staring at the recycle bin right now cause it keeps doing that noise but hopefully this works.
