This Dyson Yellow Ball Vacuum is extremely powerful. I use it on my hardwood floors and the trash it picks up is amazing. I have to go outside to empty the canister because of all the dust it picks up.
If you have more than one vacuum cleaner, sometimes it's easiest to clean the filter of one with the hose from one of the others. It works as long as there is not a lot of fine dust embedded in the filter, and, of course, as long as the the "good" vacuum is working well.
Also from time to time take a tooth brush some rubbing alchole and scrub the air vents of the globe... I did that once and kept on finding really crazy black mole. Apparently that crap loves areas where our human biological waste congragates. Use rubbing alchole and "de-soot" the vents with rubbing alcohol is good because it kills the fungi, and dries quickly. You can use a brush or some q-tips. better to use the q-tips because you can compost them. and take a wet wipe and clean the surface of the vent deck where you put the flying saucer filter onto. This will help prevent build up of crap... Very important if you have pets, kids with long hair....

Hello Woopnik what if the Brush Bar isn't moving at all whenever I vacuum ? do you think it could be the motor ? 'cause my Dyson is clean of dust. any help ?
+gstv2007 Hello. I am sorry that I did not get back to you sooner. I am right now on a little vacation trip in Nevada. Provided that there are no obstructions in the brush bar I would try the following. Stand the vacuum upright. Press the brush bar switch (next to the power button on the DC65) 4 or 5 times. +gstv2007 Not necessarily. Please note, the brush bar will never rotate when your vacuum cleaner is standing upright, so recline it into the normal vacuuming position before testing it.
I hate it that Dyson does not have a light on the front of the vacuum so we oldsters can see dirt and verify we are getting it. The vacuum has great suction and cleaning ability, but if you don't roll it over the dirt it won't pick it up. Our eyes are an important part of that identification and verification process. Please think of adding an LED light on the front. They operate on the same DC voltage as the motor, and all that you have to do is incorporate an LED design in your packages.
I added an LED reading lamp, with hot glue or super glue, to each of my vacuums; I agree that all upright vacuums should have lights, but few do. I would expect anything in the price range of a Dyson to have one; the upper-end Hoovers, Sharks and Eureakas do and they are still cheaper than a dyson. My 3 Dirt Devils don't, but for $40 each, I'm not complaining.

+Yulia Rakov Hello, thanks for watching my video. The internal hose assembly is located in the lower duct of the vacuum and is essential in cycling dirt and debris appropriately. Installing a new internal hose assembly can be a bit tricky. I will make soon a video how to do that.
+Anjess b Hello Anjess. Thank you for watching my video. The cleaning of the canister (clear bin) is very straight forward. First you have to empty the canister. Then separate the cyclone unit from the canister. Press the red button to open the canister base. That exposes a small silver button behind the red opening mechanism. Press the silver button and separate the cyclone unit from the canister. Please clean the canister with cold water only! Before you replace the canister make sure that the canister is dry! Please do not use any detergents or other chemicals to clean the canister! Never put the canister in a dishwasher! Please do not put the cyclone unit under running water or immerse it in water! Please clean the cyclone unit with a dry cloth or dry brush to remove the dirt. When you are done please fit the cyclone unit into the canister so that the silver button clicks. Close the canister base so it clicks into its place. You see, very straight forward. I hope I was able to help.
