we just bought n recieved our new dyson to day. we had the DC07 before n the case cracked and the clutch has gone, we have had it almost 14 yrs. im glad to see what you have done about the air flow bar, great idea, ive told my husband and we r planning to also remove it to see the difference, thank you for yr video
Found an up13 at the curb along with a dc50. Both needed new cords put on because the tweakers cut them off. Got new cords put on and made sure not to put this restriction plate back in after I did a quick and dirty cleaning. I plan on fully disassemble them both and giving them a proper cleaning.

This works for the newer US multi floor 2 and ball animal 2 as well, right? Seems to me the cleaner head and panel are all the same as what you have here, aside from the updated color scheme.
Not much of a difference in cleaning quality but could make it run a tiny bit cooler. You can nearly cook eggs on that output filter as it is. Mine always picks up sand, contrary to your off beat remark about being surprised. If you toss that restrictor one more time, I'm coming through the screen and taking it away from you!
Do you think this would help reduce the amount of hair wrapped around the brush? Also, do you have any way to adjust the height of this ball vacuum? If seems like it doesn't go as low as our cheap Bissell
No it won't help with that. No there's no height adjustment if you're looking for a machine with a height adjustment take a look at SEBO,Miele and Lindhaus. Links in the description
Interesting. I might try this mod to my DC40. It has the same restriction "panel" So far I have been very disappointed to its performance. Especially if I compare it to my Sebo Felix.
+Music Beast Hoover's technology is far better than Dyson technology! Plus you can't really remove the wind tunnel technology as they're actually molded as one piece of most vacuums or small peace that would do nothing if you removed it .
