What causes ear infections? How to get rid of an ear infection?

@@worldnowboxing4137 Buy tea tree oil asap. Put 2/3 drops onto swab then gently apply to outer ear. Repeat 4-6 times. Can try to put slightly inside but DONT GO DEEP. If it reach your drum you are screwed... (as far as I know... )

Then i found this method online, i applied a cotton swab covered in tea tree oil 6 times and pain immediately alleviated but i still felt slight pain inside and outer ear. So next day i repeated the process and pain went away almost 100%... BTw because it is a powerful antiseptic it will burn a bit, don't be worried at all... Just do not insert a swab deep inside the ear. Don't risk your hearing.

For those who clicked on this video because you are in excruciating pain, I feel for you. I can’t even explain the pain I was in, please just find an urgent care and just go, it will not go away without antibiotics. I had thought I can just get rid of it with home remedies but I literally forced myself to sleep to forget about the pain. You will get through this unbearable pain 😭🙏

Yes it’s SO bad. I used antibiotics when I had this same outer ear (canal) infection like 2 months ago, but I don’tttt like meds. I’m trying the natural route and I’m not in like screaming pain yet. Woke up with an ear ache boiled some water and put 1/2 teaspoon sea salt in a 1/4 cup of warm water from boiled water and cold tap water and dipped in earbud and gently patted inside my ear with it and was soothing. Laid my head back, warmed up , as I was feeling cold and laid my head back and rested and felt better soon after.

I have suffered from otitis externa (ear infection from the outer ear) for four days. The pain gets worse every single day when I started to have an ear pus simultaneous with having high fever, discomfort, and restlesness. I have taken lots of antibiotic and mefenamic to ease the pain. On my fourth day of researching about the natural home remedies for ear infection, I happened to stumble on hydrogen peroxide which I further used to clean my ear. As of this writing, the pus started to take off and I feel a lot better than before. I'll still continue taking antibiotics till my 7th day. All thanks to God! I hope this helps. God bless! 😊

@@clay1509 take some antibiotics and some paracetamol or ibuprofen for the pain. It went away after a week or so. If that doesn’t work give your doctor a call. Good luck 😉

The warm wet rag rung out good , stuffed dn tight in coffee cup and then microwave for 20 seconds and held next to ear for 15 to 30 minutes got rid of mine. Search for wet rag and coffee cup for ear aches and you'll find it. Worth a try

Thank you so much. I was having this pain n my ears for couple of days. I didn't want to visit the Doctor so I decided to find out the home remedy treatment for it... @@MustacheNurul Its best if you console with Doctor... But what I did was just an emergency or say first aid. If its an infection, applying ear drops also helps you and if it continues, its best to visit a doctor👍

I got a recurrent middle and inner ear infection in my left ear due to the stress at work (I am a nurse who works in A & E). Pain was excruciating and I felt like tearing my ear off! All of the antibiotics stopped working a long time ago and then after speaking with one really clever doctor I know he told me to try a nasal spray because that is the way to reach the infection, not from the ear. I had never thought of this probably too busy treating patients! He suggested sinusoothe because he'd heard a couple of good reports about it and to lean over it when using it. well to cut a long story short it worked. I would highly recommend it even though it is expensive.

I just don't understand why we can't cure our ear infections all by ourselves without the help of a doctor, so expensive to have to do it that way. The ear infection that I am starting to believe that I have is in the inner part of the ear, close to the ear drum in the ear canal like he said. I tried everything from over the counter ear drops, sweet oil, peroxide, haven't tried a heating pad yet but the peroxide is really starting to disappoint me because even though it minimized some of the pain, it didn't seem to take care of the remainder. Now I feel like I am gonna be visiting a walk-in clinic, like it or not. Because for it to only be hurting in that small area, I believe that is why it hurts so much. If it takes antibiotics to completely eliminate ALL of my pain, then so be it! Because I am a total wimp who doesn't like ear infection pain.

I just had my first earache in two years last night and it got cured over night so here is what I did to cure it. First, I took a paracetamol/ibuprofen, after that I put a bit of vapo rub/vicks on a cotton bud and applied not directly inside my ear but on the surface. This really made my ear infection 💯 gone when I woke up I was amazed.

Thank you so much, I never would have thought of this, but it makes sense. Vick's is a decongestant, so maybe it will help with the drainage in my ear , also. I just tried it, so we'll see. It's certainly less invasive than putting something inside of my ear. I also put it on the area just below my ear.

Literally just tried the tea tree on cotton bud, was instantly soothing and tbh within 3 mins the throbbing in my ear was less intense and somewhat bearable. I think it is outer ear for me. I was very careful not to go to far to make sure I didn’t damage my ear drum. Really appreciate the post, bought a lot of relief to a lot of people who where in pain. :)

@@Runner8617 Personally i used it pure and i remember an initial light burning sensation but it was instant relief. If your more sensitive or your thinking of applying it to a child it may be a good idea to dilute it down a bit but I’m no expert so please fact check me and make sure. Thank you for the helpful information I've been too scared to go to the doctor for this issue and my ears have been hurting ever since I went swimming at a public pool. I looked up a couple of videos online and now I'm mixing olive oil garlic and tea tree oil together so hopefully this works I've been using earache drops and hydrogen peroxide and it hasn't been working the greatest but hopefully this clears it up.

Tea tree oil really helps with the earache. Like at one point in my life where the earache start with sharp pain in my ears that it’s literally unbearable and when I started using the oil, it help with exception of having to smell the oil.

@@monkeyx17 @Tommy Shlug I learnt that you cannot put tea tree oil inside the ear. You must put a few drops on a cotton swap then gently apply to outer ear and near the entrance. You can go tiny bit inside but make sure not too much or else you screwed. Repeat process several time and do it once a day till you see it go away. I had horrible earache for nearly a month. This alleviated pain first day and the next day after repeating the process pain went away almost completely. But make sure the oil dont reach ear drum/inner ear! Be overly careful.

Exactly this is the problem, popping the ear only works if your ears are blocked or plugged However popping the ears for earache/ear infection doesn’t work.

Tea tree oil may cause burns in some people. Use neem oil in your ear instead. It stinks but it's magical.

Thats for sure something that u need to go to a doctor for. Cant just be a common ear infection. And ive never had an ear infection that made my ear sensitive to sounds, just a lot of pain and itchiness, but maybe thats just me

Pour a cap of peroxide down your ear (do not add water) and lay down with the ear facing up for an hour. Let the peroxide work down your ear. If you feel burning, that's a good thing!! Means you actually have an infection. When you get up, you will feel dizzy but that's normal! Your ear infection will be gone in 1-2 days. Promise!

I think I’m starting to get an ear infection but not sure I was recently in the hospital for being overly dehydrated and I cured that but now my left ear has been bothering me for almost 5days and bc my ear hurts it’s making my neck head jaw & behind my eyes hurt and not too mention my nose is really stuffy on the left side as well ! Could anyone tell me if these signs point to ear infection and should I try the remedy ? I don’t really wanna go to the doctor again.

@@user-px9vf3ny9n sorry for the late reply. at first the pain kept increasing, i've waited and waited but the pain became unbearable even painkillers aren't enough anymore, so i went to the doctor and she prescribed me ear infection creams. i've used them twice a day, at first my ear got swollen on the inside so i couldn't hear well with it (causing some problems like not being able to enjoy music, and not noticing people calling for me) but the pain is gone. it took 3 months for my ear to finally and completely heal, this was a lesson to me, it made me realize the value of my ears and also a reminder to never mess with my ear again. 😁 I hope whoever's reading this learns something and also Im glad you're feeling better.

What I suggest is buying ear drops and let them sit for about 5 mins then lay down on the side that is hurting and it may unclog. This is what I did and it fixed the ear pain in a little under an hour
