Matt ...this video is fantastic... I've been dreading tackling that sensor until I caught your video... Folks if you need to replace your ICP do exactly what Matt say's here and it's truly a 10 min job after moving a few things out of the way..... We who own 6.0's deserve all the help we can find ' so Thanks again dR
I put one in my 2002 7.3 Diesel about 9 months ago., by a company called Alliant Power part # AP63418. Would You consider this to be a good replacement ??
The one I pulled out of the guys early 2003 Ford F-250 power stroke turbo diesel is the junk one red o ring and silicone looking nylon seal around the plug. Plus the white plug brace piece was not on the plug or in the ICP sensor. It lasted him May to the end of June.
Going out on a limb here to see if I get a response. But thanks for the video. Just one question. What symptoms are happening with a bad icp sensor? Thanks. My 04 fires up, runs for maybe 3 to 5 minutes then she just stalls out. Icp sensor maybe...
Part # for that is 4c3z-9f383-ab and you can get them cheaper on eBay with the pig tail but make sure you get an actual ford or international icp if you buy one that's only $30 or something you WILL have problems with it
So, where did you get your sensor for your truck? I'm worried about spend $30 on ebay and ending up with a cheap part. I can't read the Ford/International part numbers off any of the pictures posted on ebay.
I'm having problems figuring out what the clip that is located at the y where the blue hose lines meet my truck was vandalized and there's a part missing I don't know what to plug it into there's nothing there can you help me
Got a question! We have an 04 6.0 powerstroke. last week my husband drove to work, like normal. When he got off work he used his keyless start on his fob, which he always does. by the time he got to his truck, he it off. He thought that was strange, so he used his key to start. crank no start. Threw a code for crank shaft sensor. he replaced that, no luck. I hear that's a common default code for crank no start scenarios. had it towed home. unplugged the icp sensor and she started up just fine. figured it was the sensor. bought a new one, put it in along with new pigtails. she barely starts, runs extremely rough, and dies shortly after. on our scanner the ficm, fmp, icp, and ipr all read normal. (we checked with sensor in, as I know with it unplugged it rus in default mode) any tips?
I just removed one from the top, but I removed a bunch of stuff the de gas tank, the FICM, the wire harness on the driver side and the air filter with tubing and some wire plugs including the ground and move the wire harness out of the way. It took me 21/2 hours the sensor looks like a cheap one with a red o-ring.
I thought up an idea for an early 2003 Ford F-250 6.0 liter Powerstroke turbo diesel. The idea is to run some threaded pipe brass pipe or high pressure fitting and hose to the ICP sensor port over and up to the area near the fire wall and FICM to make it easy access to get to. It would have to be strapped to the firewall extend out to a easy to reach area. The wiring would have extended to reach also.
@@haleyy68I also have an early 03 6.0 king ranch. It was production date 9/22/03. Late 03 and early 04 production was 9/29/03. This guy really thought he knew what he was talking about. 😂
the one you mentioned (for your self is plastic internals they break off....Junk!!! you don't want these to break off during removal, in the middle of trying to get the treaded nipple out of oil/fuel rail,,,,,more cursing and throwing tools then nesary stay with the solid oem.....
