March 27 - Early spring Brown Trout fishing has begun in Norther Michigan and it's the perfect time to use a crankbait. I am not sure if you have ever thrown a crankbait, but crankbait fishing for Trout is new to me. With Steelhead being in river system right now, It makes sense though as both Trout and Steelhead will aggressively slam a crankbait. Spinner fishing for Brown Trout is usually how I get it done, but there is something special about this time of year and tossing a crankbait. Maybe it's the excitement of not knowing what's going to hit. As the old adage goes, bigger lure, bigger fish.
When Trout fishing in small rivers, or fishing small creeks for Trout, finding big Brown Trout is always my main goal. Will I get it done today? Thank you for coming along to find out. So far 2021 has been an average year when it comes to spinner fishing for Brown Trout in Michigan. Hopefully the year will get better as I continue small creek Brown Trout fishing.
Please like and subscribe. It is very much appreciated.
