Man, when i hear 0:44 I get a bittersweet feeling. Makes me smile, because I know how great of a game this is, and how creative , heartwarming, fun, and interesting the series is. But, bad because then i also remember that I will never have the same feeling replaying it as i did the very first time i beat it.
I feel somewhat opposite about it. I can never play it for the first time again, but I always find something new to love about it when I replay it - almost like a new first time feeling.
I imagine that the setup for Ness and his friends' at a hotel is this: Paula sleeps in bed Ness practices Psi outside. Poo mediates in room. Jeff tries to hack a copy of Earthbound to make himself cooler. Ness: :) Jeff, you got OWNED! Jeff: :(
I'm in Scaraba right now on my Earthbound Rom, and I find this theme awesome! I can't believe I didn't know how epic this theme was before-hand! Also, the villiage theme reminds me of and Indian-Arabic Town. Anyway, AWESOME!
If you hadn't noticed, EarthBound parodizes a lot of stuff, so it's mostly in good taste. Scaraba is a stereotypical Arabic country, just like Eagleland parodizes the USA.
I love the relaxed but still heatstroke-inducing humming music that kicks in at 1:09 SNESmusic dt org has all of the songs in the game in complete form, by the by.
According to the producers of super Mario rpg, they were disappointed with the performance of earthbound, which they enjoyed. They attributed it to the rather unknown characters, so they put Mario characters in them.
I LOOOOOOVE THIS. It's just like what happens in the Bible, with all the desert cities in Asia and such. Earthbound is so cool because it appeals to many different people and outlooks.
@@toyoscio You can find a single black pixel in the town of Scaraba while walking around. If you inspect it, you get a message to the effect of "This area is filled with the reek of Pokey"
we need to play this to a random person who never played the game and see if it really does remind them of a desert. it would make the song so much more epic.
I love the first 44 seconds. Intense kinda scary. I was not expecting that. Best 44 seconds of music on the game. But i. Still like all the music sound stone music is so relaxing. It still fun. But there will never be a time like the first time.
@ridely700 I never stated it sucks, did I? I'm merely stating that people like every song on the game for the wrong reasons. Whether the song is dissonant or not.
@munkyboywndr Lol. Why not argue? You see, at least I don't directly insult you. : ) Also, arguments are a good way to get somewhere. They can lead to many intelligent things and so on. Example: I think Lady Gaga is a joke to the music world currently. Many people disagree. Everyone also thinks that Kesha is a music God as well, but she contributes to destroying music. People don't care about the music, they just want something "Catchy" to dance to. Is that GOOD? Anywho, I will continue. : )
@ResChronoNullius The difference is, the game deserves it's respect. By just passing it off with exaggerations and huge bias, I personally think if the game's really respected, things shouldn't be taken out of proportion. Also, to say something is subjective... There's an old argument from the person whom wrote logic. "If something is subjective, doesn't that mean that subjeveness is subjective as well?"
@ResChronoNullius I disagree. Probably references but most of the jokes were jokes such as "The first boss is an ant. Oops! I did ANT mean to spoil it for you." along with fart jokes or small puns that were just kind of typical or not very clever.

I don't get it :'( ...and i have played through Earthbound many of times. I thought the music at 0:00 you were in Scaraba then at 1:10 you had just left the town and now sweating in the desert.. then finally at 2:05.. you enter the pyramid. Though, your comment could be what you picture what would be happening in a situation in which this music was to set the tone.
Well friend, you seem like a kind gent, but I must ask, what is thinking too much and what is the limit of it? Anyhow, I just want to try to state a point is all that matters to me quite a bit, you know? I really love Earthbound, but I don't like what's happened to it...
@ResChronoNullius I won't say that the jokes are terrible, but they were just sooo child intended. I'm more or less stating that the people who play Earthbound are playing due to fanboyism and hyping the game due to it. It's one of my favorite RPGs, I just think that people shouldn't make such false disclosure as to say "Every single aspect of the game is good and the jokes are hilarious." They might be a somewhat clever, but hilarious? Generally, I think not truly.

@ResChronoNullius Not if you don't see it. That quote was from Aristotle and he personally found it logical. I think it is too. You see, you can say something is subjective, but what if that's not true? Also, I've taken into study that these people exaggerate. Why would I be undermining one of my favorite RPGs? I just think while it's good, people "ride it's cock" too much.
I have run into many friend *Sigh* I remember going to a small gaming meet and I stated "Earthbound isn't that funny" and they stated "Are you kidding? Earthbound is HILARIOUS!" ... These guys were like 20 or 21... Anyhow, they didn't have good reasoning skills, I had stated something about having reason to like Earthbound more than most people and they stated "And yet you don't!" However, I'm not fighting against Earthbound because I hate it, I do it because I love it and hate fanboys/girls
It would be a really nice, lively theme but the waah waahs killed it for me. Pokey's stink still hangs in the air. Seriously Pokey? There was a town a few steps away! The hieroglyph enemies were neato.

I never stated "wrong", an opinion can't be "wrong" however, I'm stating that there's a high chance their opinions are VERY marked up with bias and such, and I'm also quite angry for other reasons that these fans and fanboys have done to ruin the name of this very game and such bias is unlimited to the point, unfortunately, you wouldn't know what I was talking about and why I was so angry, and I'm sure if you did, you'd be pretty damned pissed, but you wouldn't believe what I'd have to say : P
@ResChronoNullius I suppose. I personally think the jokes were made to appeal to a younger age group and that they aren't THAT funny. I mean, I think people just exaggerate it. Appreciate the game, but don't over-do it based on being a Smash Bros fanboy just cause you like Ness or because it's not so widely recognized.

The exceptions include trolls, middle schoolers, adults who behave like middle schoolers, and people who haven't discovered real forums. My guess is that since you use proper syntax and haven't slapped that caps lock is that you are the lattermost. :-/
