If life was fair, I could eat bread at every meal and not get flabby and fluffy. Yours looks so tempting. The struggle is real to follow a keto diet but, I'm determined to give it a go to see if it's true about carbs cause inflammation which causes pain. I'm tired of hurting! Thank you for sharing this info!!!☮️💜🙏🇺🇸🇮🇱✝️✌️

I encourage you to hang in there with the KETO. I carried just over 40 extra pounds for almost 20 years and one day decided to loose at least 20 so I could fit back into clothes I still hung onto from my slimmer days. I did 3 months on KETO with intermittent fasting (no sugar, flour, potatoes or rice...NOTHING WHITE). When I could comfortably wear most of my old clothes, I had lost almost 20 pounds. I could loose more, but for now I’m happy with just being 20 pounds over weight...(I can’t afford to buy new clothes, anyway). That was over a year ago. I do limit my carb intake, but so long as I can still fit into my clothes and be comfortable, I’m a happy camper. KETO worked for me...I enjoyed being able to eat what I could, but I love breads, pasta and potatoes enough not to face the rest of my life without them.

Original Irish Spring Soap. Get it at dollar tree. Cut bars in half and place near doors outside on your porches. Flies gone. It works! You could hang some right by the door in a net bag too.

Someone told me about this and once I did it, I never stopped. My recipe is very close to yours. The only thing I do different is before I start anything, I mix 1 cup of the total amount of the water ( not an extra cup) with 2 level tablespoons of flour in a small skillet I have and cook it on medium heat, stirring constantly until it is cooked; it looks like plain white gravy. Set it aside until it is cool enough not to hurt the yeast. When you get to the part where you are ready to start adding the bulk of the flour, add the cooked flour in FIRST and mix it in. Then add the rest of the flour as usual. It absolutely makes a world of difference it doesn't take that long at all.

This is interesting. How does this process make a difference in the bread?
@lindachandler2293

@@kristincolburn7130 There is science to back it up. I watched someone make Japanese milk bread. You can Google effects of gelatinized bread and find a lot of scientific stuff.

Hey Zach, missed this one as I was entertaining out of town friends! Today is October 31st and I have yet to have a killing frost in zone 6 central New York State! I can’t believe it my normal frost date is October 10th! I actually deadheaded my zinnias and snapdragons to encourage the buds to blooms as I don’t have a frost in the forecast for 2 more weeks! Even my cherry tomatoes are continuing to blossom! Great advice and I am very happy I did not rip things out the end of September! Enjoying the cooler weather but definitely enjoying the sunshine, gorgeous Fall color, and less bugs in the garden! 😃

Jen, I made your bread exactly like you did even down to the melted butter at the end and it turned out Fantastic! Now I realize what's been wrong with my bread...it never had any flavor. Salt! I never put this much salt before and it made all the difference. But besides the taste, this is the softest sandwich bread ever! Mine usually turns out dry and crumbly. This is perfect. I'm glad it makes two loaves because like you said: "this isn't going to last long."

We had our first frost 9/28. I've been covering my fall salad garden & pole beans, harvested remaining onions & radishes & carrots, any stems that had tomatoes on them got cut off, and I took them all down to the basement to finish ripening - been getting about ten every-other day so far. Then we got into the high 70s for highs & 50s for lows, so hoping the beans that are on the plants will have time to mature before 10/4, when we're supposed to get down into the 20s. Surprisingly, my everbearing raspberries weren't bothered by the light frost and are still producing, although they have slowed WAY down. I've extended my garden, filled that with the soil from containers I planted in this year, then topped old & new areas with composted manure, topped that with leaves, watered it all down with my 'fetid swamp water' fertilizer, then laid poultry netting over all to hold the leaves in place. Frankly, I'm about ready for a rest!

We still have almost 6 weeks to first frost but I think it will be early. Cool mornings. Still have great peppers and am starting to get cukes from our second crop. Both salt and pepper pickling and large silver slicers- both white cukes which are rated as the top tasting sweet cuke. Already harvested second contender bean crop and new zucchini in now. Hoping for a crop before frost. Seedlings getting ready for all my winter kale,.broccoli, cabbage and collards. Just finisjed w cowpeas (so many) amd cherokee black beans harvesting now. Just bought my frost cover and am working hard as soon as Ian passes. Right now, harvesting rain water as we have had very little rain this year.

Loved your video-gotta try the bread! I could almost smell it! My 1st garden on our new (last summer) homestead, did not do real well. My brother in law (the youngest of my husbands siblings) passed away in May. July 28th I had to put my Mother on Hospice Care and Aug 5th my dear 94 yr old Mother caught up with Jesus and all her other relatives. I had to make all the final arrangements for her… She was the last of her original family. Then there has been drama between my brother and I; so now I’m trying to settle her affairs (No Will). I’ve not really gotten to grieve. My garden suffered tremendously. I did get a great garlic crop (1st time growing it) and quite a bit of crookneck squash. The squash bugs got most of my pumpkin plants (I don’t know how to combat those-remember 1st year gardener here!) I got a lot of Super Sauce tomatoes that I just froze for later sauce making. The onion crop was ok. Had green beans but the deer got most of them as well as our donut peaches and strawberries. This evening I wish I had your pain relief salve! I was working at my Mothers home, outside pulling out bushes and weeds taming that neglect down; all afternoon-I Hurt! Tomorrow is a new day-and next year I hope the gardening quest will be better. Y’all are awesome, thank you for sharing.

Been harvesting radishes and lettuce and chard daily too . I love my own organic fresh produce , especially all the herbs 🌿 😋

That BREAD recipe is OFF THE CHAIN DELISH! I have never been able to make a good loaf of bread in 20 some years and I have tried some (not tons but many) of times and was very disappointed in it never turning out. We watch your channel a lot and have tried many of your canning recipes and they have turned out great. So I watched this video to try making bread again and I kept watching and pausing (and rewinding much) the video many a times to make sure I did it exactly like you did. And then the final results blew my mind and the hubby gave it a million thumbs up and said please make more. Lol Can't wait to meet yous this weekend at the HOA conference to say thanks in person! 😊

We harvest our sweet potatoes based on days of growth, not when they die back because they will keep growing until they get a frost. From experience, you don't want football sized sweet potatoes! You probably already know this, but sweet potato leaves are also edible. Perfect survival food! This year we got 4 bushels of sweet potatoes from a 16x4 raised bed. We in in sweet potato country though :)
