Outstanding job explaining the process. I programed 3 fobs in about 10 minutes. When I bought my used van, it only had 1 fob. I was constantly worried about locking my key in the vehicle or loosing the 1 key. I finally have spares now. What a relief. Thank you.

My original key fobs supplied with my 2015 Ram 1500 truck fell apart internally. I purchased the programmer/key along with an extra key fob. Both work as advertised. A bonus is that the Simple Key programmer/key fob combo came with an additional rubber key pad insert which allowed me to repair one of my original key fobs. I was concerned about the cost vs. functionality of this purchase. As it turned out, I now have three functioning key fobs for my truck. A most excellent result in my opinion, which was an excellent value.

Absolutely amazing. Duplicated 2 keyfobs for my 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Turbo Diesel. I cannot believe how EASY it was. I was doubtful but thought that I would give it a try for a fraction of what a dealer would charge. Took all of 5 minutes to program both fobs. Just read the directions and follow them step by step. How can you go wrong with the money back guarantee. Some automotive locksmiths will charge you for programming a fob EVEN if it fails to program.

The key that came in my kit did not flash a blue light. I figured the battery was DOA and my old one needed a new battery anyway, so I replaced them both. Old fob worked good as new. New fob, no blue flashing light. Thought wtf and went through the programming steps anyway. It worked! I now have a spare for my 2014 Grand Caravan Silver Edition that works exactly as the original. Works as advertised. Do exactly what the video says and you will be successful. I was quoted over $230 for 1 FOB by different companies AND one of them needed me to travel over an hour to get to their territory. I bought the programmer (good for 8 FOBS) and an extra FOB and both with keys made by a photo for $198. One of the FOBS had a malfunctioning sliding door button and they sent another within a few days. Great product and great service.

I bought this product and it worked like a charm. Now instead of having a key that only starts the van I now have two key fobs that lock and unlock the doors and start the van. Having a fob that unlocks the doors makes it so much easier for shopping. I don't have to run around to unlock the doors with the key.

Both of my fobs crapped out for my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan at the same time and replacing the batteries in them didn't do the trick. Google led me to Tom's Key Company and Simple Key. Instead of dropping $500 at the dealer for new fobs, I spent $160 total and now have two working fobs that took me less than 10 minutes to program because of this video.

Strange. One idea - call the dealership, give your VIN and ask them to confirm if your vehicle was originally manufactured with a remote fob too lock/unlock the doors. Occasionally a vehicle is made without the remote signal receiving equipment even though the vehicle has power locks. Or perhaps the receiving antenna broke or wires got disconnected. Another idea for be a dead battery in the fob. Or perhaps the circuit board on the fob your received is faulty, but that would be odd is it worked to activate the fob.

i just went to batteries + bulbs and after waiting a week they couldnt help me with a new key, and the dealership doesnt have vw routan keys or a way to program it and they want to charge me to get the whole computer replaced.

Yes, provided your vehicle came original from the factory with a fobik like this with lock/unlock buttons. If you are not sure you can call the dealership to ask. And while you are at it ask them the cost to make a new one. Then come here to save 💰

i have a 2012 VW Routan and one day all of my fobs all stopped working. they still work to start the vehicle. but none of the door lock buttons work on any of them. I had three working fobs and they all stopped working at the same time. the fuse is good in my vehicle. Any thoughts?

Can I use this product without the original key fob? I have a spear key that turns on my 2016 Chrysler town and country but it is not a key fob, it’s just a physical key that came with the vehicle.

It sounds like it only works with one vehicle. So if I program it to one vehicle I can’t reprogram it to a second vehicle?

Hello Omar, You need a new programmer for each vehicle. The programmer reads the VIN number and becomes locked to the first vehicle it makes a key for. You can make up to 8 keys for the same Dodge vehicle with it. If you need further assistance, send us an email help@tomskey.com

My question is, does the existing key have to work. Mines doesn’t says damage 🤦🏾‍♂️. Fell on ice and key was and hand and key took the damage 🤦🏾‍♂️. Any advice is helpful.

You need to have one working key to use this to make a spare. You probably need to get a locksmith or car dealership to make one key. If they want to charge a bunch for a 2nd, we can help you get a spare

Program 2 keys they start the vehicles for dodge challenger, but the proximity sensors doesn't work

Glad they worked to start the car. We have added a warning about proximity feature not working on these keys. Not perfect, but most Dodge don't have proximity feature.
