can i add strawberry puree instead of diced strawberries in the cupcake batter also can i add strawberry puree instead of strawberry jam in buttercream frosting
Yes! Strawberry puree will also work well, for both the cake and buttercream. If the puree is very watery, you may have to reduce the milk a bit so the batter isn't too thin

Unfortunately, the buttercream has to be made with confectioner's sugar. You can however make a different type of buttercream. Check out my French Buttercream or Italian Meringue buttercream recipes. Those both use sugar syrup :)
