EASY SWEET DOUGH | Quick No-Knead Recipe | Basic Recipe

How to make Easy Sweet Dough Quick No-Knead Recipe. This dough can be made for variations of sweet bread/buns. Oven temperature: 180°C/350°F for 30 minutes or alternative at 200°C/400°F for 20-25 minutes. An oven may vary.

Easy Sweet Dough
Ingredients :
312g (2.5 cups) all-purpose flour
65g (5 tbsp) fine sugar
1/2 tsp salt
7g (1¼ tsp) dry yeast
1/2 cup + 1/4 cup of warm milk, add in two separate additions (187ml in total)
1 large egg, whisked
42g (3 tbsp) soft butter
If you do not like the sticky dough, please skip the addition of 1/4 cup milk. In this case, you have to knead the dough until smooth.
NOTE for my measurements :
1 cup all-purpose flour = 125 grams
1 cup milk/water = 250 ml
Egg substitute alternative: for one egg :
• 2 tbsp water + 1/2 tsp oil + 1/2 tsp baking powder + 2 tbsp flour. Stir until combined and mix with other ingredients for the dough.
• Flax seeds: 1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water. Stir and let sit for 15 minutes. (for suitable bread recipe), grain bread.
• 1 tsp baking soda + 1 tbsp white vinegar + 1 tbsp water. Mix into the dough ingredients. (fluffy)
• A half of a ripe banana (for suitable flavor)
• ¼ cup of pureed fruits (moist): apple, apricot, prunes, avocado, pumpkin (for baking something where the flavor is suitable)
I use a digital scale. If you are using a digital scale, please make sure that your batteries are full/new. Old batteries cause measurements inaccurate

Hi, I am from Coimbatore, South India. You wont be able to imagine the joy I felt making and tasting the bread and buns from your recipe. Thanks to this recipe I can finally make my favourite sweet breads😍. No more hassle of kneading, just mix everything and let time do its magic! Although I did find that I needed to proof my dough for 2 hours instead of 1. I made spanish bread today using this dough, and it turned out soft and fluffy😋.

+Virginia Valentin, this is for soft bread dough, brioche need much more of butter and required kneading the dough. Maybe you will modify it into brioche? :)

hi there, ur way of making dough amaze me much, it turn out as same as knead dough. i was thinking of ur way to do dough for other sweet and i just found out this. i did added butter to flour before adding any liquid, because it more easy for me to combine haha, but seem little dryer than ur dough . anyway another suprise for me was no need to wait overnight for dough as well. Thanks you so much.

I really enjoy your videos. For the warm milk did you heat it on the stove to a certain temperature, or was it room temperature?

I have just read the egg substitutes and I wanted to ask you if the first egg substitute is suitable for this NO-KNEAD EASY SWEET DOUGH RECIRE YOU HAVE SHOWED TO US IN THIS LOVELY VIDEO. I LOVED THIS KIND OF DOUGH. IF I USE THIS SUBSTITUTE IN THIS RECIPE THE DOUGH WILL BE THE SAME OR IT WILL NOT HAVE THE SAME TASTE AND FLAVOUR.

The egg substitute might suitable for the dough and for the result, of course, will be different. Egg gives a special effect for the dough.

+Aminah Chahin, I use this dough for baking at 180°C/350°F for about 30 minutes. Or at 200°C for 20-25 minutes, depends on shape and size. Thanks :)

I'making this right now it is in the rising state ..I sure hope it turns out ..I really do not like heavy or dry loaves ....We eat them anyway as it takes alot of effort to make lol .....anyway I'll let you know when my husband takes a bit when it's finished lol have a great day folks and NIkki

I would like to try using this dough to make a version of tea biscuits sold in Philadelphia bakeries. I read an interview with one of those bakers, and he said he uses a sweet dough. Those biscuits contain raisins. My question is when would be the best time to add raisins to the dough when preparing it. When finished baking they are usually about 3 inches across and about 2 inches high. Could you give me an approximate oven temperature to bake such a product?

I don't have instant dry yeast and no grocery stores in my area have any nor can I order any. Can I use regular yeast, if so what is the measurement?

@lycia davis, could you please tell me what is regular yeast? Did you mean active dry yeast? If so, please use 1/4 tsp more of active dry yeast and dissolve with warm water + a little it of sugar until frothy.

Hello Arixx Nexx, yes you can use water for this dough. The final result after baking would be slightly different (less rich flavor)

The dough doesn't rise properly could be many factors. Maybe the yeast, the temperature, the time, different flour, etc. The yeast should be still active. Too warm or hot milk/water will kill the yeast. Using grams measurement (kitchen scale) for accuracy.

Setelah adonan lembut, tidak harus dibaluri minyak sih, hanya supaya ngga lengket ketika nanti pindahin dari mangkuk. Tdk ada bedanya mbak, itu hanya pilihan aja biar ngga lengket hehe...
