This is absolutely fabulous Technolli. In fact your whole channel is freakin fantastic. Wish I'd found you sooner. Have a hack running Mojave clover. Spent all day watching your videos. Never understood the Hackintosh build process. Built the hardware myself. But had the hack config done for me. Port mapping seemed like black magic. You're so laid back and easy to understand. I'm doing an opencore Catalina install. Thank you so much for your channel and all that you do for FREE. Delighted.
Very nice!!! Thank you! - I am still and again buffled by the fact that you can record your screen without even having logged in yet!!! You're a magician in so many ways!!!
Great video! I'm looking forwards to the AMD version, as I'm just about to build a Ryzen based Hackintosh. Thanks, as I find these videos very helpful!
FYI, I have built a number of hackintoshes over the years (clover) and never achieved a fully functioning system. Always small niggling problems, flaky USB, no wifi/Bluetooth etc. This time I followed some of your opencore videos where I also noticed your Wifi/BT card (ordered and delivered this afternoon) and this one about USB mapping. Result: a fully functioning system. A BIG THANK YOU!
Thanks again man! I followed this and made my Fenvi bluetooth work, I wonder if you add that to the keywords of the video, you would get even more views. I tried USB mapping with USBmap before and the Broadcom wasn't showing at all, used Hackintool as in this video and worked like a charm, not only did I see the card but also worked plug and play. Again Thanks! I'll share this video in a couple of threads I read about fence bluetooth not working, if they follow the vanilla instructions they'll never see it.
thanks so much for this easy-to-understand tutorial, it did help a lot. I still have one question: how did you figure out that HS12 is for your Bluetooth card?
Aha - so this is what I have to do to fix the non-functioning Bluetooth and HS09 and HS10 on the Z390 Designare OC build you just posted about. Thanks!
Hi Technolli. Thanks for your work! When will you make the AMD USB tutorial? Also since 11.3 USBInjectall is not working anymore. Maybe you should update the tutorial.
Thank you for the video! I know you said that you’ll make a video for Amd.... but... I have some issues with usb ports (usb microphone that glitch/freeze randomly during recording... or when I turn on my printer other usb devices turn off). Should this process will fix this? I have a Msi B450 Gaming plus max, Ryzen 7 3700, Radeon rx580 8g... thanks !!! :)))
I did the exact method on Ryzen some time ago and it worked perfectly. The thing is to make sure you've got up to 15 ports and to keep in mind that USB 3 ports are technically two ports (USB 2.0 and USB 3.X)
This is great stuff my friend, You are the best. I still have problem with my rig freezing but I heard real Mac running Catalina is having the same problem, I did replace the memory still same problem.
Hey Technolli great video, wonder if you could try this with the Z390 Designare, I am trying it and the two bottom yellow and blue USB ports aren't registering in Hackintool when I plug either USB 2 or 3 devices into them. I am currently using the usbinjectall kext. Wonder if it could be a BIOS setting? Devices work I plug them into these ports however. Thanks.
Hmm, when I followed the Open Core Vanilla guide I was reading that you don't need a custom SSDT because they are reading the info from the firmware. So I am confused seeing people using a custom SSDT. I was also reading the Dortania ACPI guide but it is still not clear to me if I is still recommended to use a custom SSDT with Opencore or not (I know it is recommended with Clover). What do you say?
Hey TechNolli! Is the 15 port limit for all motherboards? I boot with usbinjectall.kext and I have at least 15 devices connected via USB/Thunderbolt. Are there any negative implications to doing that? What if I don’t Port map?
I have a haswell chipset, and having issues getting the usb3.0 ports to register within Hackintool. Do you have any suggestions for my case? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Thanks for great walkthrough on how to do this given its importance. In the hackintool mapping options for typec and a typec+sw which one does one use for a type-c port? Are there scenarios where assigning usb2 as the type for a usb 3.1 capable port produces a desired effect? How come you just used the USBPorts.kext that tool spit out and were able to ignore the SSDT-EC-USBX.aml and SSDT-UIAC.aml files it produced?
USBInjectAll kext detected a flash drive in some individual USB ports of Gigabyte Z390 Designare, but the rest of USB ports are combined by USB HUB and would not register the flash stick .
Technolli....how will this USB port mapping, if at all, effect my thunderbolt AIC for my Asus z390 maximus xi extreme? Also did you hear about the iMac 10th gen Intel refresh coming very soon using a Intel chip called the i9-10910??? Hopefully so as to extend the Intel z490 updates for future Hackintosh.
@ TechNolli ive got a few question. so if i add a usb 3.0 pcie card to my dell preecsion T5500 which dosent have any usb 3.0 will it work with mac os? or do i need to regiester it like in this video?
Hi mike and all of you. If you are doing this with clover, do you have to update the config.plist and if so how do you do that. I see that in OC you had to update the plist file after injecting the kext
Hello, i would appreciate it if you made a video about this motherboard + this processor... benchmarks, logic pro, a video similar to the others it has made. Many Thanks
Thank you for making this so simple, but I still have some doubts... this port limit applies to USB hubs too? I mean, if my motherboard alone already occupies all of the 15 possible positions, if I have a monitor with 2 USB ports, will I be able to use them or not? Also... my front panel has 2 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.0 port (a total of 4)... are they all represented by 3 ports (1 internal USB 2.0 + 1 internal 2.0 and 1 internal 3.0 ports --- that is physically 1 USB 3.0 port)? Damn it... I'm so confused... sorry...
Technolli you are a tease I’ve been waiting for someone to bring this guide out on RU-vid for ryzentosh do you realise I’m not going to get any sleep tonight 🇬🇧 I’m hoping that it will fix the problems I’m starting to get with BT connection on my Fenvi T919 card 🤪🤪🤪🤪 but in the mean time if you wouldn’t mind ☺️☺️ a Q for you or anyone that maybe able to answer this. My Ryzentosh build has been done on the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master which has built in WiFi/BT, which is active and the T919 card is installed on it as well, in the beginning the BT worked fine on the Ryzentosh, maybe needed a reboot on the odd occasion but it is starting to get decidedly worse however according to some you should disable the on board wifi/BT which can’t be done in bios so when disabling it and removing the drivers within Windows 10 when you reboot the pc everything enables again so the other way I know of is to remove the NIC card it’s self but to do that I will need to remove the MoBo from the PC as this Board has a full metal plate on the back, so I can get to the screws on the back to remove the cover that goes over the VRM heatsink then I will be able to get to the housing that covers the NIC card which I think is a lot of work if there is an easier way to permanently disable the WiFi/BT within windows any suggestions will be gratefully received Many thanks an avid Fan Malcolm the Brit 🇬🇧
Hey TechNolli... love this.... thanks so much. Will this process work with a clover config.plist? I'm on intel with gigbyte motherboard... You are an utter legend. Thanks mate.
I have a really strange issue on my hack (Catalina 10.5.5 )regarding my USB audio . So problem is after 30 minutes I can't play any guitar plugins in logic pro , the audio buffer completely collapses and the audio is severely bit-crushed ... although I made usbports.kext . By the way on mojave , no issue like this. I need your help sir .
Designare z390 board on catalina..did USB inject all which thankfully got my fenvi t919 bluetooth working (as initally it wasn't detected at all) with sidecar kinda working but still testing it. I'm running into a problem with port mapping.. I have a USB 3.0 stick which Im using to map with. It shows up as 'Ultra', and I went through each port but I get to the last 4 ports and when I plug in the usb stick nothing comes up. These ports do work because I have my mouse and keyboard plugged in but they don't show up in hackintool. Im afraid to delete them in case I break something...help! ALSO, have a problem with stuttering audio via the headphone jack..how do I get this working? thought it would work out of the box
This is not working for me on my GA-Z97X-UD7 TH Series motherboard, Haswell i74790k CPU. I have USBinjectAll.kext in the Kexts folder and loaded and saved in my config.plist and booted in with it. When I plug in a USB 2.0 or 3.0 device into certain ports, it doesn't show that anything has been plugged in with Hackintool. However the device does show up on my desktop. Only my front 2 ports show up as HS01 and HS02 and the far right ports on the back show up as HS09 and HS10. How were you able to determine which ports were the SSxx ports? No SS ports light up at all when I plug a USB 3.0 device into any of my ports. All ports on this board are USB 3.0, 6 on the back and 2 in the front. I guess I'll have to use ioReg instead to map the ports as per the OpenCore Guide. At least in ioReg the ports detect a USB 2 and 3.0 devices. Man this Hackintool process looked fast, easy and promising.
Hi. Im having problems with my motherboard (Maximus X Code) (9700K). As soon as i updated the bios suddenly only one USB Port is working and the rest is unresponsive. Did everything from returning it to old bios to reinstalling drivers. But its still the same. Is this applicable to my case? Thanks in advance
Technolli, you created a EFI folder for me a couple to few years ago. I have gone through this walk through and for the life of me my Jump Drive does not show up in "Device" section to which drive is which. I have a photo somebody already created on Tonymacx86 website of my motherboard but it does not make sense because that person has the same HS01 and SS01 for TWO DIFFERENT Ports which is why I wanted to go back through to remap them. Do you have any clue why my jump drive does not show up in "Device" in Hackintool after plugging it in? The drive mounts, it does everything but it does not show up in Hackintool. It would make my life easier to know the why so I can properly remap this motherboard as I use a Focusrite USB Audio Type C for Pro Tools. I need to use that particular port because of the speed for Pro Tools so I don't get dropouts.
Hey thank you for the awesome content! Can you do a video explaining how to get thunderbolt to work on a z390 Designare? Under the system report it shows there's no drivers installed for thunderbolt... I've tried googling and looking at several guides but its simply not detecting it. Mainly my iPhone XS Max is not being detected I don't have any TB equipment as of now but I've spent 2 whole days trying to mess with hackintools trying to figure it out and its simply not working...
Whats the difference between OC Snapshot and OC Clean Snapshot?

I use Main MSI Z490 A Pro, But Hackintool did not recognize the port and device name, while MacOS got the USB => I can't determine which port it is? I installed Usbinjectall
dear Mr Technolli, I'd like to thank you for the job well done, I was able to upgrade my hackintosh to big sur but my 2 issues are.#1 i did something that I cannot boot without the USB stick connected. #2 no sound via usb interphase . pls help . thanks
hi all, just to confirm... you don't do anything with the SSDT files that pop up on the desktop after exporting from Hackintool? No need to replace the existing SSDTS??
How do you know the name/number for the internal mother header? I'm trying to make work the bluetooth of my fenvi card, but i can't identify the corresponding name/number.
What do you do I do if a port doesn't not show up in Hackintool>USB? What is weird is I put the stick in a port right next to it, a TEAL BLUE (GEN2 port) and it showed up. They both are TEAL BLUE. I already have a schematic of all my ports given to me by somebody else who has exact same motherboard. But its weird that its not showing up in Hackintool. As a matter of fact I am missing a few USB ports in Hackintool. Is there a fix for this? Type A Ports Black USB port = USB 2 Blue USB Port = USB 3.2 Gen 1 TEAL Blue USB Port = USB 3.2 Gen 2
