I've been Vegan for over 14 years now and recently discovered I have a Gluten allergy, your recipes leave me in awe and your knowledge is amazing. Thank you for all you do! 🎉
I made this, and it was amazing. I didn't use the veggie ground because I already made some faux meat, but I made your veggie ground and put it in the freezer for my next batch.
This has to be the best WFPB cooking show on utube hands down! Thank you for all your wonderful recipes along with written ingredients. Most channels are selling theirs now and i no longer watch them because w/o recipes they are useless and a waste of time to watch. Thanks again Javant. You are a blessing.
@lindamorgan3082 I second that! There are a couple other excellent ones out there to which I am subscribed (and I do love them), but Javant's channel is the one I would keep if I could choose only one. Every recipe of his that I have made has been a success. Chef's kiss, Javant! I am eagerly awaiting the app and a cookbook. 😊
Mung bean starch and psyllium husks have been a game changer for making doughs. Buckwheat flour, mung bean starch, and psyllium husks with hot water gets me a stretchy dough. I don't have any ratios because I do it based on texture. I've made tortillas, pretzels, dumpling wrappers, I'm still experimenting, but I've left almond flour behind. All that is to say, I'd try this, just with the almond flour pastry. 😛
Javant, thank you for your videos! They are a blessing to us vegans who don't have the knack that you have in creating vegan masterpieces. There are many good vegan recipes online; but, you are above and beyond!
Javant this is my jam . You should do a documentary about your journey and show some of these fantastic and life giving recipes to the world. As always thank you for sharing your knowledge . Peace and joy 👍🏽🌱🪴❤️🙏🏽
Javant enjoyed this video completely going to try it but I was wondering what did you dip them in when you were eating them The other question I have is that you said to use some tomato paste but if I buy tomato paste then I'm using unless I misunderstanding I'm using something that was processed still looking forward to having you present your sourdough bread recipe
That was my tamarind sauce. You can get the recipe from my samosa video from a couple weeks ago. Yes, tomato paste is a processed product, but barley. It is essentially tomatoes that have been dehydrated into paste. I am totally okay with this, personally, as ling as the it is in glass jars. Great question!
As a vegan since a child I never tried a Pattie before. My husband is Jamaican & finally made the switch to Vegan 8 years ago & no more patties!! This will be such a pleasant surprise to make these for him & I can enjoy too! I can't wait to try this. Your videos have the best Vegan recipes & the easiest to follow. Love it!
Love this recipe. Today is the 3rd time making it however I didn't have time to make into individual pies so I made into 1 long log that I sliced after baking. 100% approval from my 1 & 3 y.o. grandsons and their Mommies!
I was trying to figure out what sauce it was but I only had the ingredients for ur cashew cheese sauce. So I made that. It was amazing. Thank u for being an amazing human and sharing ur recipes!
Oh. My. Goodness!!!!! I have been WFPB on and off for over 10 yrs now. And this is BY FAR the best food I have had. I think I will finally be able to stick with the lifestyle now! All because of u. I always see comments on other recipes “even my kids loved it”, so I try them and they are never good. So I pretty much gave up on online recipes. I usually take the recipe idea and turn it into something edible. But someone recommended you on a wfpb Facebook page I’m on, and I’m pretty sure u just saved my life. I can cook yummy food now, and I don’t have to think of it all by myself! Thank you so much!!!!
With total sincerity, this is one of my favorite messages ever!! It makes me feel amazing to know that my recipes are assisting you with getting back on track and could potentially be the difference in your ability to stay the course! Thank you so much for sharing this message, it makes my day! PS ... Please thank the person who recommended my page 🙏🏾
I have recently come across your channel and discovered the amazing recipies. You do a wonderful job of explaining the process of preparing the dishes. Thank you for your excellent work!
I just made these! And they were absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for the recipe! Quick tip: you can use a tortilla press with two pieces of parchment paper on either side of the dough ball- it worked perfectly to make quick easy perfect circles! I am just amazed with how delicious this is! My life is forever changed because of you, Javant! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Javant, you are so appreciated! I just made this last night, and they were a BIG hit!! I look forward to using that extra veggie ground that's in my freezer. Thanks so much👋🏽
Tuh- I’ve been wrapping my mind around a lifestyle change & starting with my juices & cleaner eating (less sugar, carbs, oil) WHO KNEW today would be the day I run across the channel guide I wish existed to help me fully convert into veganism?!?! No rice? No soy? I don’t even hear other people say this day to day. And made with love inspired by a culture we share. Winning!!! Thankful for you. Please keep sharing.
I have been eating whole foods my entire adult life. I am now transitioning into a vegan, soy and wheat free diet, as I recently discovered certain foods are wreaking havoc on my body. I strength train with kettle bells (I'm in my late 40's) and I was struggling to figure out how to keep doing this without soy or wheat. You knocked it out of the park!! And the food is seasoned too???!!! Thank you so much for these awesome EASY recipes!! Quinoa sushi, mung bean tofu and these patties are about to be in rotation...
I just wanted to thank you for your veggie ground. I have a brother that is vegan and gluten intolerant. He's useless in the kitchen so I make it for him every time he comes to town for a visit. I make it for myself more, but he really really likes it and it just makes me happy to give him a batch to take home. All that said, making another batch tomorrow so I'm looking forward to making this. Thanks again for your wonderful recipes.
I just found your channel. I'm struggling with weight loss. I really need to get this off of me. I can't wait to try your recipes because eating healthier like this will help❤
I wanted to add that you could use spelt flower. It has no gluten and it’s actually good for your digestive system. I use it all the time to make pizza crust.
What Jamaican Patties!!! I am shocked. I’ve been to Jamaica several times and I never leave without getting some patties. I’m trying to lose weight so I’m not trying this recipe right now, but I will be making this recipe one day. This is so exciting.
So glad your video popped up on my feed. Really appreciate interesting vegan recipes that are oil free! Also love the Dr. Greger book in the background! ✌️🌱
I've got to try this mate. It looks delicious. I like your approach; no oil, no nut butter. There's plenty of oil in almond flour. Linseed is also rich in oil. Good on you mate!
Javant, I have been watching your recipes one after the other with much excitement and learning new cooking techniques. Thank you for sharing such delightful and healthy recipes. I'm excited to make these patties as well as your chickpea based chocolate chip cookies! Absolute phenomenal! 🎉🎉😊
Thank you so much, your videos are amazing! I already made your veggie ground and it was absolutely delicious even on its own lol. Can't wait to make these. I'm wondering if you can keep them in the freezer for busy days and how long they keep for?
I haven't tried freezing them, but I'm confident that would work well. I'd just prepare them completely and thaw as needed. In the freezer they should last quite a while
I’m going to try this tomorrow. I appreciate you sir. Your variety of tasty meals with the recipe ,measurements , and easy to follow instructions are life changing. Can’t wait for the meal prep videos. Thanks
Use a pot lid they have a handle plus the rim on a pot lid are usually sharp and can press it and it will cut the dough too. I do this for my flout tortillas
Javant, Your recipe looks delectable, I’m looking forward to trying it… I absolutely appreciate and enjoy you sharing your amazing cuisine! Have a great day. Tlazokamatli - Thank You 😁
Omigosh I'm so happy I found your channel and imaginative recipes. I love your production values and that it your show is easy to follow and enjoyable. Going to binge watch for sure!
I just happened upon your channel and so glad I did. Currently, I'm not vegan but am exploring options. I'm also gluten free. Will definitely try this one. Thanks so much for sharing.🙂
