I actually watched a documentary on Yuka Kinoshita where they took an MRI scan of her stomach before and after a huge meal. It turned out that her stomach stretches out so much that it basically covers her entire abdominal cavity and is approximately 50 times bigger than that of a normal human being. In addition her high metabolism is also a huge phenomenon. So I bet those two competitive eaters are similar in that aspect. I recommend searching RU-vid for that one ;)

I remember watching a program that explained that big eaters could do what they do because their stomachs could physically stretch to accommodate the ridiculous amounts of food they ate. There's no trick, it really is just pure physical ability.

She wore a loose fitting dress so that you couldn't see her stomach and hence her abdominal region visually increase in size. Stomachs are very stretchy, although it takes practice to reach the level that Aya has reached. Your stomach is like a muscle that you rarely need to use (stretch) to maximum ability whereas she trains hers regularly and keeps increasing her maximum.

Imagine sitting down to film your food segment for the day and walking into some killer free content at the table right next to you. you reallt lucked out chris, nice going!

Not gonna lie, that mountain of fried chicken looks like heaven to me a so I wouldn’t mind having that

well if aya is anything like yuka, then her stomach expands way larger than a normal person. When it gets large it pushes up into her lung allowing her to eat way more than normal, she also absorbs fat from her brown fat cells faster than normal person so she can burn it quicky as well. All this togther means she doesnt fill full when she eats a lot. There was a science progame on yuka where they ran loads of tests lol. Im sure aya must have something like that as well, or there be no way she could eat all that and still be soo tiny lol.

Aya's done literal stomach training... Every time she eats, she eats more than she did last time, her stomach has now expanded to a point that it will even shift other organs out of the way to fill up, it's like blowing air into a balloon... Except that balloon isn't a balloon it's a stomach, that's gone through years of training and hardship to fit all the food she eats...

Two years later, I'm betting Chris is still wondering how Aya ate all of that food.

High stomach acidity, extremely high metabolism, stretching of the stomach which champions train to do (like eating a pound of grapes periodically to keep the stomach stretched enough to where you can then go up to heavier food groups and higher amounts until the competition, so you don't just get sick/perforate your stomach during the activity), and lots of cardio. :P That's... all I got, there has to be a documentary of food eating champions somewhere, but I'm too lazy too look it up xD

Hi Chris, finally fried chicken! I think I figured out Ryotaro’s cunning plan. He is following the plot of the anime/manga Yowamushi pedal. He got you an inefficient heavy bike so you can build up strength and stamina. That way when you finally get a proper road racing bike you will find it so easy to ride the rest of the journey will be easy. Either that or he is secretly trying to kill you.

I have your answer Chris! A japanese show did a cat scan on another tiny 'Mukbanger' after eating crazy amounts of food. They have genetics that allow their stomach to stretch to up to 10x the resting size, and the drug that the body produces that makes us feel full doesn't work properly in them either. So they don't feel it, except for the weight they add to their abdomen!

Aya’s ability to eat that much food is most likely due to having a stomach full of acid which is at the PH level of the acid belonging to the Xenomorph from the 1979 classic film: “Alien”. That or she has some sort of third stomach...

Explanation for the ability to eat proportionally larger amounts of food: Most likely genetic inheritance/mutation - upregulation of one or several of the genes involved in digestive enzyme synthesis, transport and/or secretion. That would explain her being able to digest the food rapidly, and have a faster time to empty her stomach to her intestines. Additionally producing more amylase (digestive enzyme) in her saliva (digests a bit of the food faster even before she's swallowed). Stronger oesophagus peristalsis (movement your throat does to swallow). The jumping up and down could help with churning the food (something your stomach naturally does, she may be trying to speed up the process). Also stomach training - it's possible to stretch your stomach over time to hold a larger volume, by eating progressively larger meals. Though from a biomedical standpoint, I'm strongly against this.

In response to the aya girl question: "how did she fit that much food inside her?" My guess and answer would be that her body can naturally expand more than average. You know, like in pregnancy, the body naturally adapts and stretches. I think the same concept applies to stomachs as well (for both men and women). The stomach is very elastic and maybe she tries to eat less air when chewing

She did it one of two ways. One, being the most likely, she eats low calorie density foods on a mostly vegetarian diet. This makes your body used to holding and processing high volumes of food at one time, and has the added benefit of your body excreting the food quickly, not absorbing the excess nutrients and calories. The second option, however, is that she is a shape-shifting being from another plane of existence, here to slowly consume all of our reality.

It's either you don't chew as much or just don't stop eating or you'll suddenly feel full. But as for Aya's secret, it's actually her dress, Chris. She put it in her dress. Are you willing to wear a dress, too?

10:29 Apples - green or otherwise - do not contain any caffeine. This is a myth. A large apple does however, contain a relatively large amount of fructose (sugar). Fructose is digested quickly which raises blood sugar levels and gives the body, more or less, a sugar rush, which has the same biological effects as caffeine. Still, even though a single large apple has the sugar of half a bottle of coke, apples are also high in Vitamin A and Potassium, making them a healthy viable food choice for when you want to stay awake.

She just swallowed a tardis with it's door open so all the food falls inside, it's simple really.

I reckon she does what Adam Richman from Man vs Food does. Apparently he eats well off camera and exercises a lot, but a few days before the challenge he basically fasts, but drinks a shit load of water to expand his stomach, then takes on the challenge. It's definitely preplanned and prepared for. Good luck on the next leg of the cycle!
