Yoel! As a 49 year old Southern US dude with zero heritage that matches yours…. You’re my brother, man! 🙂 I’m proud to have you as my fellow countryman! ❤ Bless both of you for what you do. Love and light to you and yours!
His love of freedom and our customs is so refreshing....amazed at how much we have here and sad to remember his cuba....he's so upbeat and happy....WE SHOULD HAVE MORE AMERICANS LIKE YOEL AND MARI....I hope you are blessed and enjoy good health.....glad your here...
I love the joy in voice and face when he gets to experience something new. I wish more of us had his appreciation that being in this country . Also see the sadness when he speaks about the hardships back in Cuba.
Well done..Is the address still correct to mail y'all a package? If I send a bunch of Canadian Snack's & Candies, would you make an episode of trying them??
😅 Probably not an accurate measurement overall but absolutely funny and enjoyable!! 🥰 So, so happy that you have food available, Yoel. ❤ Bless you both. 🙏
@@YoelAndMari Yeah, it's fine for a RU-vid video. If you wanted to be more accurate, one thing you'd want to do is weigh in at the same time of day, and at the same point in your daily routine, both at the beginning and end of the test. So for example maybe both the start and end weigh-in could be in the morning after you use the facilities. That way the weight gain that you measure is only the portion that actually got incorporated into your body mass, excluding any portion of what's sitting in your digestive tract after the heavy meal, that is going to end up as dietary fiber or whatever. But this is not the kind of experiment you probably want to do again real soon. And as I said, for the video, it was fine. Your sample size is 1 anyway, so much too small a study to have any statistical significance, scientifically speaking; and that wasn't the point of doing it.
I love how appreciative Yoel about all of his experiences! From the mundane to the more complex. He is always so happy! And good job filming! You go girl! It’s a lot of work! We appreciate you 🎉❤
It makes me happy to see Joel and Mari enjoy a meal. Your videos are humbling and heart felt. Thank you for your videos ! They are honest and genuine. God bless
This was adorable. It really makes me appreciate just how easy it is to get food here in this country, and how good it can be. Thanks for the laugh, and good luck in the gym burning all of that off! :D
I've always wondered how much weight Yoel has gained since he arrived. 😄 Anyway, I always look forward to your videos! I love how much Yoel loves and appreciates America! 🥰
Yoel, I lived In Venezuela for 11 years, and returned to the USA in 1981 to complete high school. While attending we did have a Cuba young man that needed a translator, I was elected since I remembered enough to do so. Sadly his attitude and yours weren't even close. I suspect he was angry from his Mom leaving family behind, and though I do understand a lot of his frustration I just didn't see in him the appreciation, and true joy of trying lobster or steak etc. I truly enjoy your and Mari's content. You are the type or Person that should inspire others to learn, grow and achieve what they want from their new country. Good luck going foward and buenas suerte mano.
This one made me laugh so much! I hope you brought the leftovers home for future enjoyment. My folks were old school and never threw out any food and to this day I'm the same way. If you couldn't eat it all, you ate it the next day. I imagine that Yoel has a similar attitude about wasting food because of what he lived through in Cuba.
3:19. That thing is massive, but it looks delicious. I might have to look into getting one of those--hahaha. I am a sucker for Wendy's Chili which is my "go to" option.
I just discovered this channel and Jollibee is one of my favorite places to grab food And yoel and I have the same favorite 😅 spicy chicken palobok peach mango pie and pineapple drink 😅 definitely put a smile on my face seeing others enjoy different cultures food
Amazing how fluent Yoel has become in only 2 years! I have been trying to learn a language for over three years and am basically still at baby talk. lol
The red velvet cheesecake is the only cheesecake I get when I go to Cheesecake Factory, I don’t go very often cause the closest one is 2 hours away so it’s a vacation eat for me.
Cheesecake Factory nachos are freaking amazing. I see myself going there in the next few days 😂 On a side note…I understand why he chose the Frosty. But I never understood how people can drink a milkshake -with- their meal 🤢
Yoel looks great with that hair! Looks good on him. People always say that when someone moves to America, they’re going to gain up to 300 pounds. But, it’s just jealousy because their country doesn’t have the good food like we do. Not trying to sound mean, but it’s true. Not trying to diss any countries that can’t help it because of their tyrannical governments that they live under, but for others yes it’s jealousy.
Yoel, That's overkill as far as the amount of food, maybe next time two fried eggs, two sausage patties and two biscuits and coffee for breakfast, maybe a hamburger for lunch, and perhaps some sausage jambalaya for dinner.
Holy Moses Mari and Yoel I've never seen a pancake that big in my life you can get a doggie bag as long as you didn't put syrup all over it I eat on that for a couple weeks 😉😂🔥🤟⛪👨👩👧👦🇺🇸
This reminds me of when I was little and my grandma would guilt trip me into eating everything on my plate by telling me about the starving children in Cuba. As you can imagine, era una nina "saludable."
Yo quiero practicar mi espanol. Estan listan? Yoel, tu ingles esta mejorando dia por dia. Felizidades!! Yo soy una nutriologa en San Diego. Tu comist MUCHAS calorias esta dia y yo se que te sentiste muy lleno. Cuantas millas corriste, 100? Gracias por hacer estos videos, Mari.
Don't talk to me about losing weight. It's a sore subject. I live in Ohio: I am not _allowed_ to lose weight, on pain of being bugged to death about it. I tried it once. As soon as the amount of weight I'd lost was noticeable, I had to have multiple awkward conversations per hour, with everyone from friends and family, right on through coworkers, casual acquaintances, to even random strangers I'd never even met before stopping me on the street just to talk about my weight loss. It was horrible. I eventually concluded that the only ways to make it stop were either A) leave the Midwest, or else B) gain all the weight back. I like my current job and have social ties to the community, so eventually when I couldn't take it any more, I chose B, for now. I'm thinking of switching to plan A when I retire. Either that or I could stay and let myself eat arbitrarily large quantities of chocolate ice cream until I die. One or the other.
The real question is how was all that food coming back out. I can only imagine not only is US food better than in Cuba, but expelling the by products is probably better in the U.S. Does Cuba have adequate plumbing?
