Wow that's huge, it sounds happier. Do the R cams next. I bet we see another slight low end loss into high RPM gains. They'll work better with that intake and header, might need 2.5 exhaust but I'd bet another 15hp.

Some of my favorite mods where cheap bolt ons back in the day, moreso playing with airflows and what not. I got the edelbroc performer manifold for my gsr, love seeing the changes you do on the dyno, good stuff and omg that b series pullllll 🖤

Man. You’d love my b20v. Gsr head. This intake manifold with spacer and 74mm tb. With fresh reground Honda CTR cams. It’s an absolute monster with the gsr trans. The intake noise is literally to die for😂🫡

That manifold also works with non Vtec heads. Direct bolt-on.

Nice! I did the same build back in the early 2000s! Skunk2 intake, 78mil throttle, port and polished head, Skunk stage 2 cams, valves, dual valve springs and retainers. Bringing the FP up helped a lot. Love the comparison videos

B16 Trans with type r cams and like 500 more rpm should be pretty noticeable too. Good shit though I damn near got the same setup in an ek hatch. Only Mines usdm gsr.

I got a question On your take what’s a good and all around good air intake for non vtec b18/b20s like what’s more practical a short ram or cold air intake it would be nice if you could do a video on comparing air intakes for Honda’s

If you do the type R cams...get the true top dead center with the degree wheel kit first and you will need adj cam gears as you probably know to do this.....and then do pulls advancing and retarding the cams from the true top dead center to find the best power band....I would love to see what that setup wants and I bet you can grab some really nice gains and make a vey nice powerband.

Coolant is ran to the throttle to stop the condensation from freezing and making the throttle stick… I don’t run coolant to mine either and have never had an issue

Hey hunter were are you located out of I have a fully built 88 crx si boosted b16. I live in Maryland and it’s hard to find some one to look at the car I bought the car used. The guy said it made 409 to the wheels on 17psi boost I noticed car was leaking oil due to cam gears that’s it felt very fast. I am new to the b16s but not dumb. It is on old school chip tunes it came with 3 chips 2 different ones on race gas ect. Just wondering were your located out of or do you know of any one around Md that knows b16s very well

The only reason you would wanna run coolant to the trottle body is to make the fast idle valve and iac work properly , would love to see the difference in type R cams I can send you a set to use if you need them oh and PS get rid of the mirrors god damn there ugly

This test isn't an accurate before/after...with the IAB's not working you are handicapping the stock manifold...literally by half it's available air flow. you gave up a solid 20-25hp by not hooking up the IAB's. stock for stock if you unhook the IAB's you loose like 20+hp, (all top end...IAB's open at 4500) this was dyno tested years ago on HT.
