I’ve had the opportunity to test a lot of robot vacuums and even some robot mops. But until now, I’ve never had an opportunity to test one like the Deebot T8 AVI from Ecovacs. With OZMO mopping technology, this robot vacuums and mops all at once, and it’s smart enough to avoid carpets while mopping! I just got the T8+ (not the AIVI version) with the self empty base. Love it so far, it vacs amazingly and the self emptying is a game changer. My issue is my mopping seems to wet the pad at the start, but never really apply any more water after that. So i really don't see any damp spots on the floor past the first few minutes.

I've mine just a week ago. Some features still limited, such camera won't work while cleaning. Multi floor limited two maps only. You may save new map in third floor cleaning finished, but you must replace one of two maps stored before, so you only able store two maps in apps. Otherwise, its really good and helpful device.

Would you consider its moping comparable with the IRobot braava jet M6? Or the Braava m6 is just on another level when looking at moping? Thanks!

down side is moping with water only which it doesn't help that much. you are still gonna have to mop manually to make sure house smells and disinfect properly

Dear Erin how to fix if the water doesn’t come out when mopping features are on and I’m using the ozmo. Do I have to clean anything or the water hole . And I don’t even know where the water hole is that comes out to wet the mop. Please help thanks a lot

What about maintenance services costs and replacement parts costs? How often are pads and the little broom extensions are meant to be replaced? What's the capacity of the dust container? How noisy it is in decibels? Thanks

I do like iRobot and I’ve had good experiences with them. The Deebot has been pretty great also.

Check out the Roborock robot lineup. Many of their models have a mopping attachment. The S5, S5 Max, S6, and S6 Pure are amazing options.

Hi Erin, as you're a reviewer of the lady variety, does the brush struggle with your long hair? A lot of reviews say it handles pet hair well. Not a lot is mentioned about long hair. Whats your experience? Great video!

Excellent question! I would say most robot vacuums including this one will struggle a bit with longer hair. Nowadays many of them are coming with special cutting tools to remove any long hair that is wound around the brush. It’s not a huge deal; just needs to be maintained.

There is no balanced reporting in this video. There are no cons at all and no meaningful test to do a comparison between this robot and the other hundreds out there. I would suggest listing pros and cons and comparisons against robots in its same price range. Nice presentation though.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Anti drop sensors keep this unit from doing its job. You will have to reset anti drop sensors 15 to 20 times in a week. You must be supervising this unit all the time, otherwise it will not do the job as anti drop sensors needs a lot of attention. There is no DISABLE OPTION feature in the app to disable the ANTI DROP sensors, and many people have been complaining about that issue since 2019. So far, NO UPDATES on the app. Another issue, the ECOVACS Deebot T8 AIVI Robot reset maps 2 to 4 times in a month, which is a headache. STAY WAY from ECOVACS products because it’s not worth it and buy a better well know brand on the market. I think this vacuum is like a test version to find out problems where people can complain.

i own this robot. The port to auto-evacute the dust inside the bin is too small. Therefore, be prepared to empty the dustbin yourself EVERY TIME. Other then that, it works good. FAIL FAIL FAIL🤮😡
