Hi everybody. Yes this car was built was two great and crazy aerospace engineers: Dave Cox and Don Berquist. Pete Prentice drove the car the most part in 97-98-99. Later the car was abandoned and found by old time drag racer and hot rodder Richard Huffnagl from California. Scott Andrews got involved in the car and brought me in (Philippe Danh) and I became a crew member and aspiring future driver of the Thunderfrog. in winter of 2007-08 we worked hard on the car ands cleaned it up a lot. Scott Andrews made his licensing passes in may 2008 and went 172mph with an injected 498 chevy on gas at El Mirage Dry Lake. We did not run Bonneville that year. More clean up and improvements and chasing a shifter problem in the spring on 2009 and we made two races. May and June. At that last meet, disaster struck and Richard pulled the plug and everyone parted ways. The Thunderfrog has been sitting in Riverside county since that time. In the meantime, Scott Andrews became the president of the SCTA for 2014 and 2015 and Philippe Danh went on to join Team Bidalot Expresso which runs a 2 stroke 50cc bike and is attempting to beat Cathy Butler's 10 year old record of 85mph.
+Philippe Danh I remember it's original paint job when Dave took it to 222 mph in 1996. Dave is an interesting one, loves to carve pumpkins with chainsaws.
