Yeah, that’s N Mode with the valves fully open. It sounds way nastier in person. A video just does not do it justice.

13.5 hr drive for me...maybe next year after a couple bolt ons first. I've got the N Performance intake and Shark Racing turbo inlet and really wanna upgrade the HPFP before the tune💯❗️

Plus I go to the Tail of the Dragon every year and I'm only 3.5 hrs away at that point, so I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. That said, will have to adjust my driving style on the Dragon after a tune because stock it only takes about 3/4 of a pedal and the tires are up in smoke out there😋

It’s a 16 hr drive for me lol. My gf has family about 20 minutes from there that we visit at least once a year. We were out there for two weeks when I got this tune done.

@@Vanjrl337 eventually. The drag strip near me is only a 1/8 strip. I also am more into roll racing and road course driving than drag. But I’ll probably film something out on a backroad at the least.

@@BenWithTheN Why don't you get the intake installed then go to a custom muffler shop or a performance that does custom work and get them to make you a downpipe? It would be as good as any mass produced downpipe you have to wait ages for. Them you can retune it with the 2 new mods because you most likely will have to retune it to get best results.

That’s with the high torque map, correct? I’m really wanting to get an APR stage 1 for my 20’ Autobahn. But I’m leaning toward the low torque map for caution sake..

@@MK3504 Comparing how much bang for the buck you can get from just a stage 1 tune on a GLI with no other mods versus an EN. And it’s a pretty significant bump up in whp and wtq on the VW compared to the Hyundai.

So if I go stage 1 then how is the ngs button affected do I still get the 10hp increase for 20s?

You wouldn’t get increased boost still. The NGS button would just put you in that ideal shift point for launch from a roll and would push to the max boost set by the tune. The extra boost wouldn’t be needed as the tune would already provide the increased boost. Specifically on my tune, boost has been increased to 20.5 PSI max, so the car isn’t going to increase that anymore beyond that. But with the tune, hitting the button and dropping into that gear is awesome. I use NGS when I go roll racing at my local track or if I need to drop into gear for a quick pass on the freeway. I’m actually uploading a video right not of me using NGS to make some exhaust pops in N mode.

Nope. No issues so far and I’ve put over 7k miles on it since the tune. Drove it back to Omaha from South Carolina, then to California for a week and back.

Lol, for $900 dollars worth of tuning I would expect a bigger bang for my buck. For roughly $300 dollars less I can slap a stage 1 APR or EQT on my GLI and see MUCH bigger gains over stock. I fully expect Hyundai to catch up to VW in affordable aftermarket tuning options at some point but for now the GTI’s and GLI’s and Golf R’s are just so more tuner friendly.

@@BenWithTheN How much was the ECU flash separately from the dyno run? I just had my Mk7.5 GTI Apr tuned at a custom shop in San Diego for $600 dollars, not $300. Had it dyno’d at a separate location for less than $150 bucks and my gains over stock from just a stage 1 are superior to what you posted in every metric. For less money. That was really the only point that was trying to make. Still, those N’s are no joke legit fast even without a tune and as Hyundai catches up in aftermarket tuning options they’ll be even more competitive. Congrats!!

@@nelsonvanvickle8862 so I got some clarification on this from Sxth. They offer their canned tune for $399 before tax and that can be flashed to ECU or their EK1. Their shop rate is $100/hr and $150 for custom tuning/multiple revisions. So rather than charge the hourly, they charge $899 as a flat rate which is what I paid. $499 + 3hr ($300) + $150 (I had 3 revisions done) = $950 so the flat rate was actually cheaper.

Yeah. Colder plugs are required for the tune, but mine are the HKS M45XLs

@@tenkayruanaya2554 you can. There won’t be any benefit except maybe in extreme summer heat. I had mine on for a week prior to getting tuned and drove 1k miles to South Carolina.

@@alichaudhri1326 the facelift looks good for sure! I literally bought mine no joke probably a week ago and I’ve had the bestest time in it. It’s the 2023 (not the facelift obviously) but man does it run good and sound good! Hopefully you can get one soon bc they really are a hoot to drive

Yeah but it's essentially a stock car. And it's 50x better, overall, than whatever you had 20 years ago. And it is 'only' $35k. Want those 2023 big boy numbers, 700hp, gotta dish out 100k. Then you're looking at a 4500-5000lb car that's almost too obnoxious to be a daily driver. A 3000lb 300hp car, that's smooth, comfortable, handles way better than a muscle car, for only $35k? Why be a dick about it?

@@Rururu-ci5dl I doubt it, but it may be closer than I'd expect due to different gearing. Hey, my plan is to cop one of these EN (possibly even dct) and basically tune it and leave it stock. Plugs and hpfp at most.
