CURSE YOU, BAAAAAAAAAAAYYLLE! I HEREBY VOW! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY! BEHOLD, A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR! AND I, IGON! YOUR FEARS MADE FLESH! SOLID OF SCALE YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL DRAGON… BUT I WILL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR ROTTEN HIDE! WITH A HAIL Of HARPOOOOOOOONS! WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!
3:59 I had this happen to me. The first time I saw his laser breath attack, the music synced perfectly with it. I literally froze in my seat in pure awe and disbelief, and I died immediately of course.
@@theonlyMoancore yeah the dancing lion also always does his 2nd phase transition at a certain point of the song if it isn't currently staggered or in a combo
I‘m so glad I got that moment on my first kill, my whole body was shaking. Bayle is absolute peak, his design, build up and attacks just go so hard (plus Igon‘s lines ofc)
I was super lucky and i got almost the same sync with that move, but only mine started the exact moment he started his blast (not at start of the move where he gets his wings). was legit the coolest moment i have ever experienced in gaming, arguably better sync than this clip, almost came
@@malafakka8530 yup. Thw times you fight them are AFTER they fought and ran off. Bayle flew off while Placid went into basically stasis at the floating temple
Bayles such a badass, dude has placidusax's two heads in his back too. Once i beat his hard ass i was able to really take in how awesome him and that fight were
@@Crusade11722 I like to think that placidusax bit into him and bayle kept the heads there after the fight not because he couldn’t remove them but because he just thought it’s a sick trophy. Such a mad dragon design
@@supremesenpai8932I’m a souls fan but bayle is just better in every way. Cooler design, better lore, best npc summon in the series, better music, one of the best fromsoft bosses period
@@happymoomoocow i disagree, i like midirs music better, like the fight more in general, while yes bayle has better lore and igon im not sure it manages to top midir. But as @Veloketh said comes down to personal preference
I absolutely love the bass in his fire breath attacks at 3:59 You can just feel the immense pressure at which the flames are hitting the ground. Got chills when that happened paired up with the god tier soundtrack!
100%, Fromsoft showing off incredible sound design again, really weighty and impactful. Lots of Elden ring bosses feel like their attack sounds are part of the OST, like Maliketh‘s vortex or malenias prosthetic clicks. Glad the dlc bosses continued this
The moment they synced the second phase transition with the music, with bayle summoning his wings, is absolute peak from software. I wonder what the guys who just overworked their asses finally releasing the first kings field would have thought if they somehow peered into the future and saw this. The moment I saw that for the first time, it literally stunned me for a second IRL. Its the moment you realize you're not just fighting a dragon boss, you're fightinv dragon satan, and he just got angry.
The fight just isn't the same without Igon. I honestly don't care if people think summoning is cheating or not, some fights are MEANT to be experienced with summons, like Starscourge Radahn and Bayle.
I just didn’t know at the time and I don’t think I even realized his sign was in the arena. It‘s not about cheating for me, I just don’t like when aggro gets split and the healthbar gets buffed on my first experience. It was still an incredible fight solo, kinda wish we could just get igons voicelines. I’m gonna summon him on my refight for sure tho
Weirdly I personally prefer this fight without Igon, his voice lines get aggravating after a while, though I appreciate the story itself behind it. I also find the fight feels better solo on most builds.
@@cerioth5648 I can see that, especially when you’re still learning the moves and die more often. I prefer learning the boss moveset solo first too. I’m glad I got both experiences, coming back to fight with igon on my second run was a blast
@@Velokethim gonna pull the hmm actually card. Because his summon is inside the arena, the boss don't have a health boost. But yeah the Split agro doesn't change
I love how you respected the boss and him show off his full move set. Also the music sync at 3:58 was cinematic perfection. Definitely got a sub out of me
@@harry6270 eyy thanks, welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. I’ve fought bayle a couple of times since then but couldn’t get that sync again. Glad I captured it here!
Somehow, someone fit all of Igons lines in here perfectly from start to end as the original OST goes! Some of the lines feel like they fit in perfectly, like the song was secretly made to fit more lines in
Bayle the Nuclear Explosion Dragon walzes to battle once more to rain havoc and hellfire onto the poor Tarnished good job with the timing on the music I live approximately 2 Seconds per attempt in this battle and have not defeated him yet, so I watch these to see what it feels like
I love how bayle is just the incarnation of pure hatred, he feels like a hellish force of nature unleashed upon us. Also really glad you like it, thanks! Dw you’ll get there, putting down this beast will be one of the best feelings you’ll ever experience playing this game!
4:00 - 4:25 litteral chills i've got omg the music, the terror and power i feel when he attacks... Bayle, the dread. His name fit him so well... GOAT of the DLC
Might be wrong, but 4:04 looks like they are grabbing striking lightning with their mouth, much like ancient dragons "grab" falling lightning with their hands before smashing it towards us.
@@Velokethwhat’s funny about bayle is that according to lore he has so much fucking hatred inside him that eating his heart will corrupt your very soul
@@SpookyM0aiMan Yeah it's absolutely insane. Even after doing communion and getting an ability, his heart will take over your body and soul inevitably even after eating it. His death rattle is pure wrath.
3:59 is actual perfection. The move starts with the beat drop and both of the beams are synced to the down beat of the music. This fight couldn't have had a better moment if it tried. Best boss in the game, by the way. An actual masterpiece. I remember the first time I fought Bayle I was streaming it in a Discord call and there were several unified calls of "holy shit" and "that's so fucking awesome" when the second phase hit. Legendary boss.
@@calamitousenigma9052 streaming it to friends sounds like a blast, it’s always great to share the hype for these games with others. Goated boss for sure, and yes that sync was unbelievable and extremely lucky. I was only able to recreate it once (actually twice in one fight) but fumbled the fight and died lmao. So glad I could capture this one and actually win
Very good! I'm so glad to find the perfect video showing his phase 2 transformation. Easily one of, if not the best boss fight Fromsoft has done to date. Well fought, too!
Thanks so much, really appreciate it! Absolutely agree, I’m so happy we finally got a dragon that surpasses Midir in spectacle while also having his engaging go-for-the-head mechanic. Bayle is getting a top spot in my list for sure, 10/10
My new favourite boss, everything about him, the visual design, the moveset, the buildup, and my god the music. Tai Tomisawa is such an insanely talented composer, did all my favourite tracks in elden ring. Nice fight btw, well played.
@@Al-ji4gd yeah the OST’s for promised Consort, Midra and Dancing Lion blew me away. I do really like Saitoh‘s tracks too (Messmer, Romina, Putrescent) and Tanizaki‘s theme for the Leda Squad Fight gave me chills
Watching this boss battle without a HUD was a real treat. When I fought and defeated Bayle earlier today, I had my eyes laser focused on my health/fp bars and the boss’s bar, trying to just stay alive and striking when I could. Doing that, you lose sight of just how epic these Elden Ring boss battles are, particularly this one. Seeing the battle presented cinematically in this video reminded of that, and of the incredible journey I’ve had both in the base game and now the dlc. Thanks Veloketh for a great video!
Congrats for defeating him, he surely is a challenge, and thank you so much for this comment! Adrenaline and tension run high in these hard boss fights and require lots of concentration, so sometimes we just lock in with a kind of tunnel vision. I had a similar feeling with my first win against Malenia, so it’s been nice making these videos for others (and myself) to just sit back and enjoy the spectacle of a boss they enjoy. I’m glad the fight could convey that epic feel of facing bayle to u, makes me happy I did it
Yknow having Bayle around also tells us more about Placidusax. Bayle as the first ever "Drake" could match up to Placidusax, the ancient dragon that was elden lord back then, however even from the stalemate, placidusax did NOT order any ancient dragon to fly after bayle, and instead building the dragon communion to hunt down drakes was a...particulary weird choice, but it speaks volumes about Placi's philosophy. "The drake hunters will try to kill you, they will fall, but one day, one day there will be one that will slay you Bayle....one day" Truly just letting nature and time take it's course, Placidusax was quite the smart elden lord
People getting mad at you and disliking cause you didn't summon igon are full of it. His summon sign should've been outside the boss room instead of inside, it's so easy to miss. Great job on the video 👍 That music sync at 3:59 was peak.
@@danielt.9586 I don’t mind I think some people are just memeing lol, the video has like 1% dislikes which is totally fine. But yeah the summon sign is hard to spot and it can also get annoying to summon depending on what move bayle is gonna start with Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
same, among all his bombastic nuke attacks this one stands out as one of my favorites, it’s like he’s pirouetting on his one leg I gotta agree, I especially appreciate that bayle only has one move where he goes flying and spits fire at you and it’s somehow the most epic attack in the game, while the aerial fire moves in DS3 are more annoying and tedious
3:59 was awseome. I wish they made bayle do 3 lasers though. One downwards to the right (in game), then one upwards to the right, and then the one that shoots down (in game)
The fact that bayle is suffering from permanent injury at this point much like how placidusax was after the 2 of them fought, makes me really scared of the kind of devils they were before their battle
I never noticed this because I killed Bayle with a critical hit, but he tries to call lightning down upon you one last time before he fades out of existence. Fighting down to the last inch of his life. Perhaps him and Igon are not so different after all
Curse you, Bayle! I hereby vow! You will rue this day! Behold, a true Drake Warrior! And I, Igon! Your fears made flesh! Solid of scale you might be, foul dragon … But I will riddle with holes your rotten hide! With a hail of harpoons! With every last drop of my being!

you’re not alone there, the music combined with his epic attacks give me chills everytime. So glad we got such a powerful dragon to end this amazing game
@@teddywilson4625 lmao thanks the timing surely is tricky at first, some people don’t use lock on for it but I really wanna see bayle go nuts in the air haha. Glad it worked out that time
I loved this boss battle. I just passed it a few minutes ago, and all I can say is wow !! The music literally gave me goosebumps ! Also kinda reminded me of gordzilla for a moment. I love this game !
@@joeldolman1181 very good choices, my top 3 currently are probably messmer ludwig and genichiro with maria and bayle being really close. Also love romeo and laxasia from LoP
Thanks for that, since the dlc released i am searching for videos that showcase well the beauty and power of Boss attacks. I will look for Radahn (Promised Consort) on your Channel, to get the holy Nuke, the TP/fast combos, and the Holy Triple Meteor (every video i found, people just don't look at the Holy Meteor....)
Thanks, glad you like it! That’s pretty much exactly what I’m trying to do, capturing these epic and beautiful bosses while playing as well as I can. I’m currently on my second run and I’m already looking forward to do no HUD Consort Radahn. I do wanna show off the holy nuke as well, I gotta find a good way to avoid it while also being able to fully see everything that’s going on. On my first kill I was too busy trying to survive lol
@@Veloketh i think just running away with the camera looking at it should work ! I will do my own versions of the fights with no HUD too ! i had a good one with Bayle but it ended up being in 720p sadly so it's bad. And also was focusing on the quests to get all the items, Leda's quests made me do the dlc 2 times and i still need to do it a third time for Thiollier's weapon lol
Could’ve been sick but I don’t think he needed one, his build up is amazing and makes up for an intro cutscene and his transition into phase 2 is so hype and cinematic without interrupting the fight. Some other bosses tho…
