Everybody talks about the delivery of "Curse you Bayle!" But nobody talks about his delivery at the end, "you shall haunt me no longer..." He says it with such a profound mix of sorrow and relief at the same time. Bayle has completely ruined Igon's life before we even meet him, and he could never hope to defeat Bayle on his own, but with our help he did manage to at least find some small release. He died knowing he was able to regain his honor and help defeat the drake that consigned him to his fate in the first place.
@@linkconparche9771He might be Christian judging off his profile description so it might be because of the similarity of Bayle to Baal (the demon) in pronounciation. I’m Christian too so I find it understandable but there isn’t a reason to fear saying the name of demons in the first place as long as you aren’t like, purposefully calling out to them or anything. Even so, Bayle is entirely different than Baal so there even if there was something to fear it doesn’t matter anyways.
1:54 He hits you for the first time, music calms down, like he’s also taking one second to breathe and slowly turn towards Igon and….. ROARS WITH ALL HIS POWER WHILE THE MUSIC RISE AGAIN AND THUNDERS LIGHT THE SKY
Nice job - an epic boss fight. And, you just gotta summon Igon for that added effect. 'To the last I grapple with thee. From hell's heart I stab at thee. For hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.' - Captain Ahab would be proud
Thanks! You’re right, it’s the true experience for this fight, seeing Igon’s reaction at the end gave me so much joy. Igon‘s body might be broken but never his spirit
CURSE YOU, BAYLE! I HEREBY VOW! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY! BEHOLD, A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR! AND I! IGON! YOUR FEARS MADE FLESH! SOLID OF SCALE YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL DRAGON... BUT I WILL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR ROTTEN HIDE! WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS! WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!
the escalations in phase 2 are so jaw dropping insane yet it never felt impossible to figure out how to react to it. shows how well crafted this fight is
This fight is just so insane and such a spectacle that I couldn't help but have a grin on my face the whole time even as I died again and again (Messmer and Rellana also made me feel this way). OST is perfect as well.
Yes it never felt bad dying to bayle or messmer, I was just glad I could experience these epic fights for longer and try to properly learn them. I also sang along with their OSTs, they have such amazing segments that hype you up
3:35 the sight of you character being hit as you back away, while bayle try to stab you. only to turn, and strike igon, who doing a dragon roar as if to get bayle attention. Peak
I was pretty mad about if first but it’s actually kinda funny, it’s like his voice just gave up after screaming for hours on boss attempts. And yeah, the anime dragonslayer katana is a must to try on bayle, the L2 really fits his openings
Holy smokes this attack at 1:30 still impresses me to this day, unbelievably epic, From Software didn’t need to cook this hard, they cooked the kitchen itself, absolute perfection! Also your gameplay skills are out of this world I gotta say, you even sometimes let the bosses hit you a couple of times just to add that cinematic flair to it, showing that the Tarnished himself gets hit too. I love that touch! ❤🎉
yeah that attack is just cinema, they’ve been cooking with all the fires out there! That’s so sweet, thanks! I’m actually fighting bayle rn for a new bayle and midir video. I’m trying to do no hit this time, midir is already done and it went really smooth
I fought him a little late into the game and beat him first try (excuse my humblebrag), but the fight was so epic and cinematic. Looked up 'Bayle fight cinematic' and found this right away, exactly what i was looking for. Keep it up man ill definitely be coming back for more of these
Let’s gooo gg man, the brag shall be excused! And thanks so much, glad you’re here and enjoyed the video :) just got back from a vacation and can’t wait to dive into the dlc again
Second favourite boss fight in the DLC and probably the game in general. I'm so glad you summoned Igon -- he just elevates the whole encounter. The fight doesn't require much to make it spectacularly cinematic -- it just IS. Great vid. I'd be curious to see what you make of Curseblade Labirith. It's not "epic" but could be interesting with the shadows: turn the brightness down, amplify the contrast and use the Dancing Blade of Ranah (or some other athletic weapon). It could be made to be epic with a little creativity and clever choices! 🙂
Thanks! Same for me bayle is on my 2nd place after Messmer currently. I thought about doing some of the mini bosses like the death knights or swordmaster onze once I’m done with the main ones. Labirith could definitely be cool, I still haven’t mastered that enemy’s moveset. I’m not sure how the shadow effect works but maybe faith or madness attacks could be cool if they create light effects in the darkened area
yes but imagine if Miquella resurrected prime Bayle so we would fight him while Miquella is riding on him like the nameless king throwing holy stuff at us
It’s hard to say since he’s so new and we’ve known Midir’s moveset for years now, but I think I struggled more with bayle than with midir on my first run too
@@Veloketh the only hard thing bout midir is his hitbox…. I could chase that thing for 5 mins straight trying to whack his legs. Midir might also have more defense I think
