THE HORRIBLE THING IS THAT THEY HAVE A GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD WITH THE PHRASE " LEAVE IT IN JEHOVAH'S HANDS". THAT GIVES THEM THE FREEDOM TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT!

After realizing that many things in the organization weren't true, it was blatantly obvious to me that none of the elders were appointed by holy spirit. Glad youre here making videos.

I was born and raised in this religion, and since I was a little kid I always felt like something wasn't right. I was too afraid and disgusted to stay but too petrified and punkassed to leave it. You're absolutely correct. They lie when they call themselves spirit appointed elders. I learned that 30 years ago. They don't like to be called out on their transgressions either. I understand your pain and your rant is acceptable in every way. You are not alone brother. Take care.

I use to try this logic on my PIMI parents but it is lost on them. If an elder is good it's holy spirit. If an elder is an asshole it's 'well jehovah uses men and we know men are imperfect.' Which totally doesn't answer the question of why did holy spirit chose someone who is a disgusting human being? I too was treated awfully by elders and if I bring it up its simply a case of 'well you have a grudge and that's why you left'. It's a shame as you can see their brains actively doing somersaults to make the ridiculousness make sense.

They are not appointed by the Holy Spirit 100%. In my experience some of them could have been appointed by the devil himself.

I totally agree with you. I grew up a JW, left finally when I was about 63 years old. For years, I said I could not believe the elders were appointed by Holy Spirit. I saw too much and knew elders and their life styles so that's why I questioned it. My aunt was married to an elder; he didn't physically abuse her but he mentally, emotionally and verbally abused her. She left him 5 times but always got talked to by the body of elders (and once by the circuit overseer) and told she had to return to him and then read her scriptures of how to be a better wife.

Very good points you make. And consider also that the Org has re-appointed Elders on occasion after having been involved in serious wrongdoing. It's a Cult.

I was in a Brooklyn congregation where a ministerial servant was appointed and he constantly swore and cussed out in service where most of the friends and public heard him! Holy spirit appointed? A Spirit, perhaps but not Holy!

Pleeeeeease, Holy Spirit got better things to do. This organization has evil spirits behind it- guiding it.

My experience with the elders is that they are totally unqualified. The elders are the reason I started looking at the org in a different way. One elder told me he is divinely chosen. NOT. That was so wrong and one of the elders slandered me in the JC. The elders are the worst ppl in the org.

The elders woke me up during my judicial meeting too. Made me sit there and detail the times I know Jehovah was influencing things in my life. I couldn't come up with anything, that got the ball rolling. Well that and the fact that they DF'd me with no real evidence of anything. Just word of mouth, pretty much no witnesses but they had no problem believing it. Found out later one of the elders on my JC didn't like my Dad. They butted heads a few times, what he did was essentially payback.

You don’t have to look far to find elders who aren’t qualified, are uneducated & committing more sins then the rank & file!! I was a born in & stayed in until I was in my 40’s so I’ve seen MANY elders. Most were alcoholics and adulterers! So much going on behind closed doors! I knew from an early age that it was a joke! As a teenager I got called into the “back room” for being voted class president.. I refused to answer any of their stupid questions. I faded, so was never disfellowshipped, but had they called me in for a judicial, I would’ve confronted each and every one of them!! Looking back, SO many lives have been destroyed by those UNQUALIFIED elder’s who pretend to be holier then thou. Keep ranting 👍 The world needs to hear it‼️

Thank you . I agree with you . I was told to stop using worldly books in my answers at watchtower. Told to dumb my answers down as I was making the congregation feel discouraged. I was asked to run all my talks past my husband before getting on the platform. Just awful men . I suffered from depression after ..I'd had enough. Left now fully out .

I went through a very similar experience. It’s tough but you just have to make yourself accept that some people feel more comfortable in a situation where they don’t have to make any choices or decisions about their life, but you obviously are able to think logically and were able to leave that ridiculous religion and make your own decisions.

the organization just says whatever it wants..how can anybody believe them?? Devine appointment in 1919 ??.no proof just a claim and not even a shred of vague evidence to support it.. Gods visible organization?? just a claim by their own criteria like going door to door or not celebrating Christmas ( neither of which goes against Christian standards or beliefs)..they like to say they are Spirit led because they can't say inspired given the mind numbing amount of mistakes and changed teachings that plague their history .

The elders in Brandon congregation in Suffolk, appointed a ministerial servant even though there was an accusation of child abuse against him. He was only removed when the issue was about to go public.

I was born in 65 years age now fading, I have elders in my immediate family literally surround by elders. I have never been up before an elder I know they have been appointed by holy spirit and must display the fruits of the holy spirit. I always questioned why some I have known do not display this spirit in their dealings even having a very callus attitude, not a Christ like manner at all even shunning is not a Christ like thing to do and yes even lying

My uncle was appointed an elder and come to find out later he didn't believe the JW doctrine the whole time and was a horrible person at home to my cousins and aunt. But my Dad believed 100% and would pray to be used in the congregation all the time. But he was never used in the cong. The spirt appointment thing is just like everything else the say......made up garbage.

As a born in JW ...My Dad served as an Elder only for a short time he decided to Step down because he didn't want to be on any Judicial Committee's...I remember he saying I don't want to cast judgement on anybody... For a fact he wasn't appointed with Holy Spirit because I know my Dad he didn't want the responsibilities of being an Elder...and that's the Truth..😲🤨

Lol yeah elders are appointed or selected by circuit overseers. The branch dont even care anymore who gets selected as an elder because it voids them all responsibility if an elder is a bad apple. The holy spirit is just a asking for holy spirit to direct there decision thats all.

One simple way to help you understand that HOLY SPIRIT is NOT involved... Is to consider the decision making process. When they decide ona decision... THEY TAKE A VOTE!!!! Who does the Holy spirit side with????? 😂 The YES or NO VOTE? Holy Spirit would make them ALL have the same decision... Not a split decision.

Yeah my brother was an elder and sexually abused me and my 3 other sisters from age 7-12

I now from my experience as a JW, minipulative verbal abuse by eders.

It makes them feel important and powerful when they claim to be appointed by holy spirit....and then they claim obedience and followers aka flying monkeys, when you don't trust the elders/put your trust in them you are classed as apostate. I never agreed with this thought .... I think based on a scripture where Paul says to appoint elders in the first century ....but we all know that those gifts ended.....good thing because they would use and abuse any 'gifts' if they still existed now.... ps: it is a very romantic filter, reminds me of Maria in the sound of music :D

I have the holy spirit in me. I still make mistakes but I don't commit serious sins anymore. The disciples had holy spirit they still made mistakes I agree the jws are not Gods people. No holy spirit is there. I use to be one. I was dealt treacherously and threatened by the elders.

Hi, at 3:50 I heard you speak about sexual child abuse and at what age abusers start. As I have experienced it in my childhood, in my process, I have been building profiles in my mind about abusers as well. In the end I came to the conclusion that we can make statistics, but in reality they are never 100 or 0 % and we can expect anything about sexual child abuse, including the age at which abuse is commited for the first time or last time.

And when someone says Jesus knew about Judas Iscariot?

Are you tired of being able to do what you want, when you want, and how you want to do it? Are you tired of choosing your own friends? Ah...but your judging things from a HUMAN standpoint brother. Sure, these wicked men are acting out their imperfect tendencies but Jehoboolah is using them for the greater good - those poor victims will have their memories erased in the earthly paradise spoken of in..well, I can't think of the specific scripture that mentions an earthly paradise that is ushered in after armegeddon but it must be there somewhere. Anyhow, I digress. You must also remember that according to the Shepherd the flock of God book, you know, the Elders manual that is "Elder Eyes Only" if elders are guilty of serious wrongdoing, they can self-confess as long as they are periodic with their wrongdoing. So don't stress too much, I know it can be discouraging but we must rely on God's imperfect, perfect channel of never-changing truth that only changes as we get new light and discard the old light, that was previously new light and truth but is now old light and untruth...just like that example in the bible when Jehovah's prophet got it wrong (i can't remember the exact scripture but it MUST be there somewhere). We can take that type and view this as the modern-day antitype - well, as long as you're reading this before 2014 when we had the new light on types and antitypes.

What makes me mad too, is the elders want to be counselors/therapists and investigators when they have NO training and certification/license for such titles! They need training to speak to a sex abuse victim, because if you don’t treat the victim right it’s like being abused all over again! And the ridiculous 2 witness rule is atrocious! This is why you go to the proper authorities, and the elders will tell you “you don’t want to bring reproach on Jehovah’s name and the congregation” Well, Jehovah has always had reproach on his name since Eden, and he’s the god of the universe so I think he can handle it!
