Great video. I listened to the whole thing and I am so happy for you that your life is so full now! Your girlfriend sounds amazing and I got a little misty just listening to you talk about her! I really like what you said about how JWs make good arguments but all their arguments are based on information that’s inherently flawed. I’ve never heard it put so articulately and I know exactly why you mean. That is the reason it’s so hard sometimes to discuss the facts with JWs. They are coming from such an odd left field that it throws people who maybe aren’t familiar with them or their beliefs. Thank you for sharing your story and welcome to life on the real world!

I was the same age when I woke up, I’m 43 and have learned more bible truths than I have in my 43 years as a JW. My husband was the coordinator of our cong, me supportive wife, my 2 sons one a ministerial servant/pioneer and his brother supported him. We all disassociated at the same time.. lost everyone we ever new and so did our boys. It was doctrine/mistreatment of people and hiding of paedophiles that did it for us. My Husband worked it out first, he spoke with us and said he would support us no matter what our decision was, We all left. The police was called on us and everything, the police were told we were being held captive by my husband!! My beautiful Husband of 23 years who would give his last dollar to someone in need!! People who watch your story will have a better understanding of the fear we have grown up with! Hope you continue to be Happy and enjoy life like God intended. We as a family of 4 continue to grow stronger and we haven’t lost our faith, but gained knowledge. Hope your new journey brings you happiness 🙋🏻‍♀️

Long story short, The brother who studied with me to baptism randomly commited suicide one night, no one knew why our Cong was in total shock obviously we shared a very close relationship. He was our congregation coordinator and also our circuit assembly coordinator well known and respected guy, always used for talks on the Circuit and Conventions. Nevertheless that was the beginning of inactivity for me, I went through depression and almost took my own life, I'm still here😃 To this day no one knows why he took his life, sometimes I wonder maybe he came to the conclusion that this isn't the truth and couldn't come to terms with it? Thanks for sharing your story😃✌️

Its such blessing to be out.I was not a born in.Baptized at 26 I think.I can't remember exactly.I was a single parent with a 2 year old little boy.I always wanted to be married.But,did not want to married in the Lord so to speak.The men as whole strange,different,scary.I faded March 2017,third week,last time at the Meeting.Still Single but living in peace,less stress,less depressed,less everthing negative.I'm living well.My son raised in like you.He got baptized in 2008 and said something wrong and he stopped going in 2009.But we kept and have a good Mother and Son relationship.I was dispel low shipped in 2001 and reinstated 2004.But I went back knowing I was going to leave for good one day.I'm so thankful I did.I been through some thangs,but my life has been so much better since leaving.I'm so thankful and appreciative.Everything you are saying is true.I'm 60 years old now.I Walked away for good at 56.I'm happy you left at an earlier age.I wish you nothing but the best.

Being a 20+ year old male in the congregation was an irritating experience if you weren't a ministerial servant or an elder. You were looked at in a negative light as if you weren't doing enough. A lot of pressure. Matrix is a great movie and growing up in the bubble then finally leaving it, can make it difficult to integrate into society. Thanks for sharing your story.
@jdstep97
@jdstep97 3 года назад
ExJW Still Fading - Doesn't matter your age. You can never, at any age, do enough for WT. You slave and slave. Then when you get too sick or old, and you can do no more, you get tossed to the side of the road. And if you're too old and do not have the finances to care for yourself, you're then encouraged to put yourselves at the mercy of your DF'd children who previously you were expected to shun. Bunch of hypocrisy it is.

If you think that's frustrating try being a woman in the organization. we have to follow behind inept, incompetent and often poorly educated men that we're told are our leaders. We have no voice we don't get to vote on any decisions. We're blamed for everything that's happened in the Bible. If WT did not suppress so much information and if it wasn't such an insular organization I believe that more women would rise up. Women are forced to stay with abusive husband because they're told they are the head of the household where they are not. The amount of work that a witness woman has to do especially if she has children is beyond cruel and yet we have to listen to countless meetings that center around how difficult it is for the elders.

It amazes me that a JW can be disfellowshipped for not following every teaching from 8 men who say “We’re not inspired”!!! How can Watchtower claim to be Gods earthly channel of communication yet for over 100 years not be able to get it right? Someone needs to check the communication line.... nothing is getting through!!!

You have such a good heart. Thank you for this encouraging video. I was dissed at the age of 42 also. I remember walking out the front door of the KH after the judicial. It was a chilly Winter day. As I stepped out I remember it like yesterday, the loneliest feeling I've ever known. On my way home I saw a few men standing around a fire having a beer. I stopped to say hello because I had to be with someone because of the emptiness. They offered me a beer. I drank it with them then said thank you. I drove off and I cant remember anything else of that or a few days after. It had nothing to do with the 1 beer. I blocked out so much of that month like a victim of severe abuse. Come to think about it that's what I was. A victim from birth to me being 42 of a heartless organization that will never apologize or admit its many wrongs. Your story is mirror image to mine in more ways than any Ex JWs I heard so far. I'm almost 59 now. I actually celebrated my first birthday at 43 also. I was glued to this video of yours. I hurt, I laughed, I smiled, and I got encouragement from it. Thank you so much. 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing your story with the community my 👑King Brother! 😎 I'm going to catch up with the other videos now. Stay safe and stay💪 strong! As a born in, I can honestly say... The WT/Governing Body striped us of our personal self, our freedom to choose a higher education, celebrate holidays, accepting a blood transfusion, shunning friends and family. We became their slaves by knocking on doors disguised as a "life saving work" in order to further their agenda of accumulating their riches on earth. This is done by means of their real estate, land, hotels, apartments, houses, cars, boats, yachts, private jets and the list goes on and on! This organization is hurtful and ruthless!! As a side note, I always wanted to be a cheerleader, go to the prom, football and basketball games, couldn't do any of it!..It was a very sad time for me! Yes, this organization strips you of your childhood really of your individuality, your personal self, your freedom I mean everything! The world in general has no idea the trauma this organization puts on its members. They see the witnesses all dressed up on a Saturday morning sharing a message from the bible and using their own time to do so, but underneath it is very sinister. You would never see a witness just go and take a meal to someone, clean their house, or cut their grass, oh no!!...They'll only do something if they think the person might become a witness one day other than that you're on your own! I see true love outside the organization more so than I did inside!! 💯
@Jexit2020
@Jexit2020 3 года назад
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, the organisation is so damaging! I was speaking with my girlfriend last night and she asked me about what I want out of life. I started crying because I don't know. I've never had to think about it before because as a JW you're taught that: 1) It's selfish to think that way 2) All of your hopes, dreams, and desires should be deferred until the paradise
@southernbawselady7092
@southernbawselady7092 3 года назад
@@Jexit2020 I know the feeling... it creates an existential crisis. They only want that paradise Earth...They can see it, smell it, taste it, drink it, that's the only thing that keeps them going! They are taught they live in a spiritual paradise. When that universe shatters it can bring deadly consequences. That's why many commit suicide upon finding out TTATT (The Truth About The Truth) The amount of brainwashing the organization does to its members, takes them out of reality and it shut them down from the real world. But, we are free now and we can start to create our own paradise on earth right now! Keep moving forward in your own chosen direction! 💜💛💚

@@Jexit2020 Absolutely. One good thing about me, I write better than I converse. so I wrote a lot of stuff back in 2002, between me and my husband at the time. He was not born in like me, but he did take over a study his mom was having with jws, studied on his own in his teen years and we met (1984) while he was studying. married 2 yrs later, then in 2002 he woke up, very ugly. so my world collapsed at that point. he was just like one of those apostates they warn you about. I couldnt deal, very dark time, I got no real help from cong., no one had ever dealt with an actual apostate in their midst, who had just been a ministerial servant. So I got df'd 6 mos after he Da'd, then divorced, and ive been single for the last 15 yrs of my life, various reasons. and now waking up. lol what a weird trip its been. All those years, I shut off any feelings towards religion, didnt want anything to do with it, didnt keep up with jws for sure. So im seeing the "new and improved" jw organization that looks nothing like I remember, which wakes me up even more. Im looking forward to talking more and sharing more experiences. Hello again Riley, I really enjoyed your heartfelt life story. You have been through a lot, and I can empathise with you, because my story is almost identical. I was not born in, but my parents became JWs when I was 10 years old, baptized at 13. Because Armaggedon was so close, I left school at 15 to regular pioneer. At 18 met the sister I married when I was 21. We had 4 children. I started to have my doubts during my late 20s/30s and was in a loveless marriage, but as she was crazy & violent to the kids I remained until I was 42, I had an affair and got df and divorced. I went crazy for a few years being outside the Org and single again. Eventually found an amazing woman and now happily remarried. I helped 3 of my children to wake up. One was pioneering and in Bethel, another was fanatical jw and pioneer. Now 3 of them are so happy and making a success of their lives. Am working slowly drip drip on the 4th, but she married an elder, so that's a challenge. There's so much more to my story, I plan to write a book, and start my own channel on RU-vid, but it's timing as I will explain another time. Keep well and safe! Kind regards Denis

I am so very thankful that I didn't pass up your story in the midst of looking for ex Jw stories and testimonies. I almost did. But something told me to just listen and be patient. And oh how I'm glad I did. I'm in the middle of my deconstruction battle as of right now and my life has been a complete wirled wind since Ovid also and like you I am sooo very happy I was able to take the much needed time during lock down to be brave and courageous enough to ask questions and research and find out why after 30 years of my life seemed to be a complete blurr and dark fake place of pain, confusion and uncertainties. Your story, experience, openess and honesty really brought me so much comfort and validation. So thank you so much. I saw your soul, love for humanity and truth, on a level that brought tears to my eyes. I felt ever word! I am so proud and happy for u and I'm super encouraged and determined to continue in my fight to get out both physically and mentally because I will be confident one day of leaving the organization but the next I'm not sure again. It's been driving me insane. And then I feel the need to blame, deny and question my own sanity and reality. Imagine that. But now after so many months of research, hard work and reflection and watching your video I am 100% convinced that it is not the truth and I will NOT go back!! Thank you so much. Your story will change lives. You are an amazing individual and I'm so glad u found unconditional love. You truly deserve it!!! I wish u the very best. ❤

Brilliant story! Very wise choice about dying with your girlfriend. For a few years had been thinking that I would sooner die at Armageddon than live with half the JWs I know. And I do relate to crying for days out of grief for the life you lost. I cried longer. But I'm 52 and have no one.

Wow! Powerfully told, especially the part of having nightmares about "death row" every night when Covid hit. It's fascinating that you chose YOUR life, when pitted up against the choice between life with the love of your life temporarily (allegedly) or eternity in "paradise." I'm glad that the timing of "lockdown" had you quarantining with your partner.

Please accept my sympathy for losing your wife. How heartbreaking it must have been to be depressed and lonely, going through the toughest time in your life and get no love, support and encouragement from people you fellowship with several times a week. I can’t believe no elder prayed with you or even put you in contact with another JW widower to give you support. When people say that those in the JW religion have conditional love.... they’re right!!!

It's so weird because I never felt it either and I always thought there was something wrong with me and tried so hard to be a good JW for years. But as a woman, no one cared if you progress. So I slowly drifted out and woke up over many years after being inactive. I was lucky that I had lots of friends outside and had the support but I understand how hard must be for people that have been isolated by the religion. Nobody deserves the "discipline" the JWs provide. It's cruel and not loving at all like they claim.

*To all former Jehovah's Witnesses who've ever been disfellowshipped think about the following; you (as was I) were in one of Satan's many organizations on earth where it was expected of us to sin as much as possible. It was only due to our own strength (many times the Lord interceding) that we did not sin more! God bless!*

Your story resonates with me Riley in so many ways, thank you. Been out since the mid nineties, pre internet. Looking back it was tough going. I remember the apostates hanging outside Hillsborough at the conventions, if anyone reading this was one of those people, big up yourself. We have come along way since then and found our medium of communication and information.Do not underestimate the power of your channel for a second. It will without a doubt help those struggling, trapped and disillusioned within the organisation in a real progressive way. That Riley is priceless. Still love my brothers and sisters back at the hall. If they are happy, fair enough. If they feel compromised for corporate profit on the most base emotional rights we have as citizens of the world, truly my heart bleeds. These stories are the answer. Love ya man. Peace

I very much enjoyed this, Riley. I’ve been out since’93. I was POMI for years, but my solace was “the dead are conscious of nothing at all “. As a matter of fact, I still believe that. I went to church for a few years, but in 2005 I woke up altogether, realizing that there is no god deals deals with individual human beings on a personal basis every day of their life. I am agnostic however I do believe there is something. I just don’t know what it is. Science has proven so many things that people just did not understand all of these mini past years. Anyhow, thank you again for your video

Thank you for sharing. I was in the religion from age 8 to age 19. I never got baptized because I realized at an early age that I was going to leave as soon as I could take care of myself financially. My immediate family were all JWs. I’m in my 60s now and I’ve put my life back together. When you spoke of having thoughts and knowing that the lady had a miscarriage. I must share with you that I’ve had similar experiences My life and 3 of my children lives have been saved because I heeded a male voice that I heard. The first voice was when my son was age 2. I heard a voice tell me to go inside with my son. I did and as I closed the door I heard gun fire. My neighbor across the street was shooting at his neighbor who lived next door. The young man ran into my parents property and was shot in the back and died. I believe we have angels that watch over us.

Really enjoyed the video. Much of what you said resonated with me: the "truth" was in my head but not really in my heart too. And you're right: the "truth" should stand up to scrutiny. Clearly, the organisation has something to hide and tries very hard to make sure their members don't find out. Very high-control indeed. Just one thing, dude: your "phonemona" can be explained. When the dots connect, we remember. When the dots don't connect, we forget. 99.9% of the time the dots don't connect. Coincidences happen, dude. Anyway, looking forward to watching more of your videos. One last thing: do you have any friends who aren't female??? 😉

Congratulations on your lovely partner! Hugs to you both! When you talked about your nightmares of Armageddon, it reminded me of when I was 2-5 years old. I had nightmares EVERY night about Armageddon, a lion chasing me to eat me, and my teddy bear turning into a bear and chasing me to eat me. All these from the meetings and my mum and dads indoctrination. The lion was on the one about Satan being a roaring lion seeking to devour someone (me) and the bear dream was b/c my parents kept reading that bit about the kids telling the prophet to go up you old bald head... they used that one to tell me what happens when a child is disrespectful to an adult. The nightmares didn’t stop until my mum threw out a picture she bought at a yard sale and told me the demons were attached to that picture and now I would be ok. Thanks for sharing its therapy

I related so much to your thought experiment of whether you’d be willing to give up your girlfriend and current happiness to survive Armageddon. I tried not to think about it but I had almost resigned myself to dying at Armageddon for the sake of controlling my own life and enjoying freedom of expression. It’s so sad that we took it for granted that a loving god would force us to make that decision

Thank you for sharing your story...and I've enjoyed watching your videos. I woke up in 2012 , and like you, I didn't want to think of Jw as a cult and thought it was offensive , most of my beloved family members were in the organisation. But with the passing of time and further thought and research , I came to the realisation and admission that Jw is a mind controlling cult...the fact that some of my family members are still jws doesn't mean it's not a cult. I was surprised when my very devout jw mother recently told me that many people say Jw is a cult, she didn't even seem upset about it , she knows that's the widespread belief.

Thanks so much for sharing your very interesting and informative story brother. I am not a JW but have always been interested in what they believe. I truly am so pained by all that you and others that have left the organization have had to endure. The shunning of a disfellowshipped member is appalling, particularly when one's very own family members are encouraged to cut off all ties even with their children. Where is the love in this religion? And if members are discouraged from questioning the teachings of the Watchtower, from conducting personal research of anything outside of Watchtower teachings and even from thinking for themselves......my humble view, is that the religion sounds dangerously cultic. I rejoice that you are free and that you have found love and pray that you will find the greatest love of all in the Person of Jesus Christ. Blessings to you!

Thank you so much for watching and thanks for your kind words. The organisation is very harmful.

Thanks for sharing your story, so many similarities to mine so I could relate. Hope you get to see your children soon. I personally haven't seen one of my daughter's in nearly 4years - she has been indoctrinated to believe I'm an evil apostate but I'm fighting through the Courts for access. Watching RU-vid videos and reading Apocalypse Delayed and Crisis of Conscience erased any doubt that what I knew all my life was false doctrine. I'm now closer to God but don't belong to any religion. Hope to bump into you one day in Anfield - I'm also a big Liverpool supporter. One day I will tell my story - but for now I'm so busy discovering the real life and discovering my purpose in this world as opposed to wondering what the purpose of life is

I felt the same way when I was a mormon,I always felt it is a lie in my heart. Maybe it was the Holy Spirit speaking in my heart.

Remember that God is love and God does not see like man sees.
