I disagree. I thought he asked a few very interesting questions the Brazilian is young - how much has he learnt ? The course record could go with good weather and a fast early pace. I'm really looking forward to it !! We all admire Kipchoge - how long can he remain at the top ?

Content ok. Thumbnails and titles *deplorable* I get that his purpose is to optimise channel growth, but at what price?! I would suggest to use the space provided when clickbait shit is ommitted to actually flush it out using relevant info in a meaningful way. You can still do that and make colours pop, include some big words etc. to grab attention, but purpose should be to enhance the video in some way. Rather than deceiving people into clicking, lure them in with genuine interest instead.

If Nascimento goes out as fast as he did in NY... Kipchoge will use him as a pacer for the first half but during second half we all know who can hold some high pace after very fast half marathon. Though kipchoge likes to run Infront from the start.

His time is yet to come, he's 24 years old, only participated in 5 marathons.
@jaysingh05
@jaysingh05 Год назад
I honestly think you’re right! Any hero who tries to pull away early could easily be used as a pacer by the GOAT. If Kipchoge thinks the person leading is simply going too fast - and he Kipchoge KNOWS what’s “too fast” - he will simply tuck in somewhere comfortably behind him and wait until the second half to more than just catch up.
@J_bixby
@J_bixby Год назад
You just need to watch the Tokyo olympic marathon to see the superhuman nature of Kipchoge. So many other runners tried to take the lead and couldn't sustain it. EK just sits back chatting to other runners in the lead pack at 4:50/mile pace until the right time. After that he's simply gone.

After what happened to Do Nascimento at the Tokyo Olympics AND in New York, I really hope we see him finish! He is so talented and young - tremendous potential if he can perfect his racecraft. I think there are two very different scenarios that could play out: 1) some crazy front runners pushing the pace, basically doing the work for Kipchoge as he passes them at 14 miles; 2) Kipchoge intimidates everyone and the other racers are afraid to push pace. The result will be that Kipchoge runs a very fast half and basically throws down the ultimatum: run at my pace or have zero chance to win. Whatever the scenario, Kipchoge will still win.

Kipchoge has a lot of experience with running long runs, especially marathons. He has strategies and a way to plan and focus that many others do not possess. He has great coaches and focuses on his strategies very hard, so I think a few runners will try to intimidate Eliud at the beginning with fast pacing and somewhere right after mid point but Eliud will teach them a lesson. He knows how to maintain a pace for a long time and at the right moment, kick it in and win. When he is determined he reaches his goal. He is an excellent, if not the best, example of what a long distance runner is: determined, sticks to his goals, strategic thinking during training and runs, and relaxed. Can’t wait to see the race, go get’em Eliud

Do Nascimento is a star. I’m so excited to see him race again. He would have learnt a lot from his NY marathon which was so hot and humid and it will be unreal to see what he can do in normal conditions. I don’t think Kipchoge will have it easy. I predict lots of attacks on Kipchoge with the main attacker being Do Nascimento, but I think Kipchoge will win in the end because the last 10km will show who is boss. The time could be sub 2:00 if there is a tail wind. I think Kipchoge knows this is the first step to sub-2:00 on a racecourse as it’s down hill with a tailwind. The next step will be sub-2:00 on a legal course.

My predictions: - Do Nascimento pushes the pace early - Kipchoge uses Do Nascimento as a pacer - At some point, Kipchoge blows past Do Nascimento and goes on to win the race. Kinda unclear on details of that third point: - Do N might blow up, especially if he tries to push harder to drop Kipchoge. - Do N might just have to slow down, to avoid blowing up. - Kipchoge might reach say halfway and decide he's ready for the second part of a negative-split race (like in his Berlin WR race) - Kipchoge might just sit behind Do N for ~40km and then outkick him to the finish. I'm pretty sure he could, but kinda doubt that he'd choose to. ("negative-split" etc all grade-adjusted of course, I know Boston goes down and then up)

Nascimento’s NYC half was 1:01 and fell short by 5 miles. Thats a lot of miles at elite level considering how many are running 2:02/3/4s. Not saying the guy’s not talented and maybe he’ll run sub-2 one day but its utter disregard for 26.2 to say ‘what if’. Nascimento fell short by 5 miles and only way to know if he can run 2:01/2/3 or under is for him to actually finish with that time.

Anyone who is hoping to go for the win (either Chebet, Do Nascimento, etc) should stick with Kipchoge. It does not make sense to take off... just too much risk. Kipchoge is a master at pacing, let him do it, and then if the other guys have energy go for the last push. Probably only in strange conditions (very cold, rainy, super windy, or somehow a super slow race) should any of the other guys take off and go solo. Another option would be if a group of 2-3 would break off leaving the main pack behind. Still, I think the safer and wiser thing is to draft from Eliud. Good thing I'll be running Boston this year, although I believe a bit behind of those guys. I will report back hahah.

A Runner will win Boston Marathon under 2 hours in 2023.

Can you factor Kipchoge running under 1hour last year in Berlin? Then consider the insane endurance of running negative splits. Another underdog is Amos Kipruto. It's funny how y'all really forget about him. Nevertheless, we doubt the consistency and greatness of Kipchoge for a minute and it backfires on our face

Kipchoge a records is under threat won’t last much longer I predict within 5 years it will go down by someone else.

Generation of goats followed by a generation of possible future goats. A rarity. Lots of fun to come, and I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more of WADA.

Will this be Eliod Kipchoge first time running the Boston Marathon, ?? why does he not run in the US?? (only ran once???)

Nasciemnto knew the conditions in NYC were hot and didn’t make an adjustment. And finishing 80% of a race doesn’t say anything. If I pace for 80% of the distance of a race, of course I would be running faster. Boston will definitely give him a chance to prove himself. But Kipchogue is on another level…
