As a fan of the 1981 animated cult film "Heavy Metal", I have a great love for Elmer Bernstein's amazing orchestral score. Unfortunately, most people only seem to have heard the official 12-track score, which contain less than half of the original music from the movie. As such, I'm now uploading the complete version of the soundtrack, containing all compositions from the film, and in higher quality than the official version. Enjoy!

Elmer's green ball theme is spooky and beautiful,a masterful combination! His Heavy metal score is magical,full of all kind of magical themes and the greatest orchestral film score ive ever heard!! Elmer bernstein's pure genius in Heavy metal is unforgettable and timeless. A true master who treated the world to a very fine score with Heavy metal.

I saw 1981 Heavy Metal in the Cinema, it was absolut cool and the Soundtracks was a part always in my live... what can I say, back to earth, no on earth I'm nobody but here I'm DEN!

This is really great, thanks so much for sharing it! Do you know if there is anything available for the very first composition when the shuttle releases the corvette ? I've always loved that music and can't find it anywhere! Thanks.

Mythicdude - Yes, but I put it down to simple fear and survival instinct kicking in (she spends the whole film whimpering in a corner) by the end her inner Taarna has been released and presumably she is liberated from former ties.

@jimp1102 Actually, I think it's the track before this one, "Beginning". It has an additional bit at the start that's not in the movie, but it should be the one where the ship releases the corvette. If you mean the rock song, it's "Radar Rider" by Riggs.

I think the reason for that is because there was a car in space at the start of the film.
