Just got this a few days ago. It's my 1st FPV drone coming from the DJI FPV Combo. It took me most of the day to setup because I didn't realize 2 things. 1: There are 2 USB ports. One for beta-flight and one for DJI connect. 2: There are 2 bind buttons. One for the goggles and one for the receiver. Just posting in case someone else needs the obvious called out. I think your video hit both of those things (at least in passing). Also, I'm curious where you found a Nebula Pro model, I had to settle for the Polar.
I cover the whole thing in the video, goggles, vista reg binding, sticks controls its all there. My nebula pro version came direct from emax in china, think I just got lucky to be honest.. I was fully expecting to get a polar version...!
Mine's arriving today.. Babyhawk 2 HD TBS, Tango 2, DJI Googles.. First FPV drone so have no idea how to set and bind everything up.. Hopefully all I ever need to know is in this video.
Thanks for the tip on moving the battery plug over! My unit was starting to wear a pinhole in one of the battery plug shielding. Popped it out to the side and zip tied it to the frame
I've had 1 for month's absolutely love it great little ripper brilliant flight time on 850 mah 4s lipo and super quiet. Just ordered a rekon 4 FR be interested to see difference between 3.5 and 4inch? 🤔
I could never figure out what to do with the EMax battery strap either!! It doesn't seem to be the correct strap for a 4S battery on the BabyHawk II. I kept thinking I was doing it wrong, until I finally just tossed mine and replaced it with another like you did. Shame, because it was a cool strap. I would really love to see how someone actually made it work.
@@Datfpv LOL I actually would happily do that. Unfortunately, doing that cuts off all the hooks so only loops left. And, it is too short to wrap twice. I think they included the wrong strap.
Hey man I’ve had this quad since march and have been flying without the OSD since then. For some reason they didn’t set it up from the factory. Did you have issues with the OSD not working or showing up in your goggles????
Hello, when I press the bind button the light above the USBC port goes from solid green to solid red and does not switch back to green, and my Tango II cannot bind with it. Any idea what that means and what I should do?
Update in case anyone else has the same problem: As Mike Bradley said, there are actually 2 bind buttons. The Emax manufacturer youtube Babyhawk video on binding incorrectly says, and shows, that you use the one button above the USBC port for both binds, but this is wrong. The controller binding button is on the second, smaller microchip that is encased in clear plastic and sitting on top of the larger main microchip. However the button is not actually visible while the chip is in the drone. I had to physically pull the smaller microchip slightly outside of the drone so that I could see the tiny black circular button and reach it with a screwdriver (be careful while pulling the chip out to not pull it so far that the wires break out of their solders! But don't worry the chip is just secured by double sided tape so it's easy to put back after you bind). Press the button firmly and the light should turn solid green and your controller should detect.
I wear glasses with my DJI Goggles. I kind of pull on the sides like I'm putting on a scuba mask and it's easy to put on that way. I wear regular size glasses.
I've only flown the babyhawk, the iflight one seems like a long range quad though, so 2 different quads really - I do like the emax one though, great fun
Thanks for your review. What's your feelings of this quad against apex 3" and 4"? I remember you love 4" more than 3". I have already an apex 3" and it's a little bit heavy (more 5" like momentum :)). Any reason to switch to 3.5"?
mate its really good... but honestly a little weak... I've crashed mine and its in bits at the moment :( the motors are rally weak and the shafts bend all the time on it.. but I am going to fix it because I love how quite it is and for ripping small car parks and stuff its perfect
Hi, I’ve just received my babyhawk hd with crossfire. I’m struggling to find the bind button to connect to the transmitter. You seemed to go straight to it. But I couldn’t get a view of it from the video. I’d appreciate any pointers. Thanks
@@Datfpv thanks, its really hard to find somethings in that size that fits the air unit, i have a DC2 but its just too small, very hard to fly smooth.. any ideas ? the GEPRC Smart35 seems to be able to fit it, but its very hard to find.
