A little embarrassing, but this morning I discovered that I have the Emboss & Transfer Set. It was misplaced under some new cutting pads. This video was a huge help; I'm going to be having lots of fun now. Thanks so much!
Thankyou I have just bought myself an emboss and transfer set, I was wondering how to use it and you've given me so many more creative ideas 💡 on how to further use my thinlets.
Thank you for all of these great tips. Do you know if anyone has been successful trying to emboss using a stencil? Just got my Big Shot delivered yesterday. I am studying RU-vid videos day and night. Several months worth of viewing have helped me figure out what accessories I wanted to purchase, but now that I have them it's videos like this one that help me get the best use out of them. Again, thank you very much.
Hi JoAnn, embossing using a stencil can be done and it's a totally different effect than you would get with an embossing folder 😊 we can't wait to see all your new creations!
Where can i find the ink transfer sheets in the UK? They don't seem to be on the website and I can't find them anywhere. This is a great tutorial, thank you.
I have the embossing machine and have several folders. I am thinking about turning her company logo into a stamp or folder so that she can produce her own labels with it (she is selling cookies). How do I go about producing the embossing folder that would do that job for me?
Those are ink sheets which she did mention. However, I don’t think they make them anymore. There is a link in the description box if you click on the word “more”, then again. There are links for everything she used, but the ink sheets are no longer there. I think they were likely replaced with all the foiling now. Hope this helps.
I have not tried it yet. But just thinking about it, possibly you could take a piece of cardstock and cover it with an adhesive sheet, expose the sticky side and lay a piece of toner foil(deco foil) ontop, then using the embossing folder and sandwich she used, I think in theory, you would get the same result as the ink sheet only in any color of foil.
I have a box of self-adhesive laminating sheets, will this work the same as the adhesive sheets you are using? Thanks...I can't wait to get my ink sheets and impression board. Thanks for your help
I am going to buy a set, but I don't have the tab plates, I have a separate thinlet one and a regular base plate. Do they still do the tab plates? My machines were bought between 2020 and 2023.
Hope this comment will be read and answered as it's so long after video was made. I am new to the Bigshot machines, have the foldaway. Great machine but am struggling with sandwich for the thicker embossing folders and for embossing with any of my dies. I don't understand instructions that talk about tab one or two. Nothing in my instructions mention tabs and even trying to use logic, nothing seems to clarify which 'tab' relates to which plate for my foldaway. Really would like to get full use of my lovely new foldaway. All help would be appreciated.
I have a foldaway also. The platform that comes with the foldaway does not have tabs. The instructions for making sandwiches are on the platform. For embossing with thinlit dies you place them in the following order from bottom to top: platform, cutting plate, thinlit die, cardstock paper, rubber, impression pad. 3d textured impressions: from bottom to top: platform, folder with cardstock inside folder, cutting plate. Textured impressions folder: From bottom to top: platform, cutting plate, folder with cardstock inside, cutting plate.
Are these totally new and different plates? I already have the silicone mat and the impressions pad; are the ones Jen's showing just a change in color (the new mat is white, not black.)
Could you please help me? I have the 3-d textured impressions of the hearts. I have a piece that I need to emboss that is longer than the folder. Is there a way I can do a 7 1/2 inch strip of paper? thank you so much. I keep trying to think of a way but not having any luck.
Hi Mary, thank you for your comment. I can't think of a way to do this to be honest, one idea would be to fold the card, but you wouldn't get clean results.
Emboss & transfer set can also be used with the Big Shot Plus? Since when I wanted to buy it in the packaging it did not indicate compatibility but in the web of Sizzixx it says that if they are compatible.

Hi Allison! Most of our dies and embossing folders are compatible with the BigKick but we would always recommend checking the product description for compatibility before purchase :)
I just bought the Emboss & Transfer set, and this video was not helpful. I need to know the basics; for instance, what side of the die faces the paper or platform? You are assuming I know my Sizzix a lot better than I do. The ideas are awesome-I just hope I don’t break something experimenting with them.
