My cousin Captain James York was flying EK39 yesterday into BHX, now lives out in Dubai originally from Leicestershire. Great touch from him and the FO. His family were there to see him during the lay over. You need to change the front picture to “Captain” as he flew in and flashed, and it was first officer Daniel who waved. 😀😀

That's something special from the flight crew. A sign of respect for the spotters.

I'm no pilot but that appeared to be a text book landing, beautiful. I live on the border of Coventry and Solihull and sometimes can track these beauties with my naked eye on their approach from my back garden. About 10 or so years ago I had a part time job ferrying airline pilots from airport to airport and I would always be asking them questions about their job and flight in general. Most were humble and good natured enough to engage with me and I found the majority decent and friendly and open.

Have goosebumps watching that beast come in to land. How lovely of them to acknowledge you ❤

This is such a thrilling moment , how kind of the Pilot !! I used to take my children to watch flight arrivals in JNB and oh my we were so thrilled when we saw flashing lights and waves from the captain . Hope they realise the joy they bring !! Fantastic 😊

What a super ending to a great year of achievement for your great channel along with surpacing 24,000 subscribers. I love your channel because it's so laid back, both informative and entertaining, with a friendly atmosphere, both from you Kev and Michelle and the supporters in the lounge. I’m always amazed that a plane so big, looks so graceful as it uses brute force t defy gravity. Science at its best.

My first smile of the day 😊 It never ceases to amaze me how these behemoths fly. Just fantastic to watch them get up and down. Glad I watched it now.

That was some super camera work on that arrival. When the high-rise flats of Birmingham came into the picture I was saddened because the serenity of the moment was about to come to an end, but WHAT AN END. That acknowledgement was well deserved. As an aside, it has crossed my mind to wonder what YOU look like from the point of view of the flight crew.
