3:16 I always wondered why they only had magneto use his powers in the movie when it was building to both of them doing something. I get this doesn't flow very well from where it was placed in the film, but damn it's funny
@@mkultra2456 magneto scene, would have been the third use of the candles scene, not needed colnel henry scene, could arguably have been added for context hallway scene, not needed at all, adds nothing moira room scene, nice call back to "magic" when charles says "abbra cadabra" but this scene adds very little, and the "your beautiful mind" seems condescending strip club scene, diminishes magneto, not worth the laugh, and also out of charles' personality (when do you see him do "jokes" like this in any of the movies?), I like the premise as in "we will you show us ours", it should just have been charles talking to her in his head, imo, you can make a case that Charles does use the manifest vision 'trick' often in the movie for inclusion of this shot truck scene, not needed, and degrading to dogs perhaps? it really adds nothing to the tension as they don't trust the dog enough to investigate further, so why have the dog there at all magento rushses the safehouse: one extra death? we got the point already (so did that guy, hah), overkill edit emma scene: I think this was a creative decision to make the final battle setup more of a mystery alex practice: I actually like this scene, probably cut for time of the training "montage", except the last bit which was never explored after Daarwin's death, so why bring it up again here? lost plot point? banshee scene: definitely cut for time imo, I like this scene, has humor and merit, although he never used the "nauseau" thing so that is probably why it was cut havoc scene 2: kind of a rehash of other shots, prob time cut banshee: more like an extended scene, I kind of like it raven: I would have left this one in personally, it was a running theme and also shows the little spark with her and beast, plus this only adds a few seconds to the movie charles / moira: they didn't develop this line of plot so this scene makes no sense in context, however, I think this scene is what Charles was referring to when Moira has to leave at the end of the movie as the actors would have had no idea it was cut
If Prof X can control what people see, they can control what they smell. It's just that he can't manipulate the mind of dogs. Nothing to do with how superior the sense of smell of a dog is. If that was a mutant with super-smelling he would be able to hide. The dog's mind is just too simple.
People actually hate when this kind of movie has too many humorous scene. That's a big part of the criticism about MCU movies. The people who come to watch deleted scenes aren't a representative sample.
I always thought it was weird that Charles and Erik specifically say they'll show Angel their powers, but then only Erik's gets demonstrated. Now I know why.
I wish it was a deleted scene of Darwin being pure energy, floating out into space reconstructing his body. Hell as bad as dark Phoenix was, they could’ve said that Darwin was the energy that Jean absorbed.
Too bad they deleted so much. I've also seen deleted scenes from the original trilogy, and it seems that with X-Men they really messed up some stuff (what to cut, and what not). The movies would have been much better with the cut material in it - most of the time. Same (or maybe even more so) goes for the original trilogy.
I wouldn’t say that’s true, he says here his powers don’t work on animals yet in Logan, he made the horses return to their carriage when they ran out onto the busy highway. I think the young him couldn’t do it yet same with how young Magneto didn’t know he could levitate and move a satellite dish but eventually could make an entire football stadium float lol
4:28 That doesn't make any sense! First, Charles's telepathy should make him realized that animals were much more intelligent than people in the 60s thought (crows solving complex problems for instance, the intelligence of pigs etc.) but secondly that what he's doing in that moment is altering their senses, not their thoughts. We don't use our thoughts to see, hear, smell etc. We use our senses and our brains is processing those. And that is true for both humans and animals. So a dog not being able to think like us shouldn't have anything to do with the fact that its brain is processing what it sees and smells, something Charles should be able to alter.
Animals are not more intelligent than humans you lair, especially not the humans from the 1960s. Those guys had SOOOOOOOOOOULL BABY! No wait, that was the 70's.
@@mkultra2456 I'm sorry that doesn't make them smarter. Also animals fight in the wild every. Single. Day. Worst argument I've ever heard, not trying to be rude, but it's just nonsense pretending to be deep
So, the scene with Alex. Alex powers are perfectly under control when he destroys public property, but down there he suddenly burns everything except his target? And when someone tells him he could have killed his teammates [in the scene where he destroyed public property] he's acting like a crybaby because he couldn't save Darwin and argumented (completely) out of context? Because it sounds like that for me. I'm not a native English speaker though and didn't really understand what they said. And Charles couldn't have known what Darwin said to Alex. Who probably said that because he had perfect aim when they were im the CIA base.
