hey! Im the developer! watching ya play this, and hearing your commentary, was an absolute highlight of my year. seriously. loved how ya read the characters lines *In* character. Frickin cool to hear someone else say em. ha I honestly didnt think anyone was gonna play it! So this is blowing my mind. Really glad ya enjoyed it - and hotline miami (notably the soundtrack) was absolutely an inspiration for that part - good catch! still listen to that soundtrack atlllleast weekly. and to all the commenters, ya'll are gems. thank ya thank ya.
I loved this game. It has such a good plot and even though it was predictable in some regards, it was delivered really well. The voice acting was excellent and really immersive. It might've been my favorite part. Ending was a bit abrupt but everything else was weird and engaging. I look forward to seeing future stuff.
@@benardrichardson4551 I was! That scene was...intense. And horrific. and beautiful! i tried to recreate it that ethereal motion, for kicks, and i liked it so much i ended up including it.
@@samusx2175 I loooove existential horror. And I think HP Lovecraft had dizzyingly excellent ideas. But if Im being entirely honest, I just can't get into his writing style, I get far too distracted and never end up finishing his longer ones. I find myself reading summaries of his plots with far more enjoyment than the actual readings of them. Which - I know - is anathema; he's like the OG of existential horror. I wish it weren't so...but...it's so?
I really loved the subtle way that ended. Its clear something terrible happened and probably happened to the protag, but it just leaves you wondering what. Glad it didn't have a sudden jumpscare.
This would be the worst apartment house to live in. Imagine sharing a breaker with all of the people in your apartment building. One person blows the breaker and everyone's power goes out. Bet the rent isn't even cheap either...
Great mix of fear, surrealism and purnonsense. Henry's and delivery man monologues were golden. I'm amazed of dev's imagination in games such as this one. Keep it up with founding more games like this Chris!
This game seemed like a mixed bag to me: demonic possession, alien invasion, entering another dimension. One thing we can be sure of, Chris's commentary and playthrough is excellent.
I love that you were offered "a _brand new_ Italian hoagie..." Hahaha! I want everything in this game: slugs and money, a brand new Italian hoagie, Future Racer 2000 with CJU driving, too many apples, even the Marionette octopi (which live off the coast of Walbé on the planet Wole, btw 😆)! Quirky with a tinge of scary is good in my book. Thanks for playing this, Chris.
The consoles are the parasites right? I liked it. It has just enough weird, spooky and surrealism for me. The only issue I had was that I thought the ending was too abrupt but really fun game. I like the music a lot. Lol
The ending felt maybe a little too abstract, even more so because the game seemed to have some of direction until its last third. But I always like it when games do their own thing, and I enjoyed how weird it was !
ha honestly, i was spending faaar too much time on a game i assumed would disappear into the depths of the internet soon after I finished it - so i just wrapped it up the best i could and posted it. knowing that there's literally *anyone* out there wanting to know more means ya definitely gonna get a more fleshed out version in the future.
Man Slugs & Money really went downhill after season 17... Really neat game, very unique, great voice acting. And yes, Hotline Miami has such a killer soundtrack.
As strange as this game is, I totally enjoyed it but I've got questions that may never get answers...lol! The ending left me empty because I really wanted there to be more story but over all it was a fun ride!
Definitely got the creepy part right. And, I don’t know why, but Bob in the basement jumpscared me. I knew something like that would happen, but it still got me. Lol! What a weird little game. I think tour assessment is spot on.

I found this really challenging horror survival game you totally got to try Chris! The name is 'Rewind Or Die'. If you do not know the game then I highly recommend playing it!
That was actually kind of uncomfortable to watch--it did a great job portraying wrongness. Good job by the designer, even if I never want to watch it again. :p
I really enjoyed this game👏🏽The soundtrack, the visuals, and the voice acting were awesome. I've never seen a game like this before and it's left me with lots of questions 🤔 What happens if you wait more than 24 hours to play the game?
- CJ's reaction to that 'television show' made me lose it XD. I am kind of disappointed that the guy who told him about the package through the intercom really didn't come zooming around a corner to beat the MC's butt for 'trying him' lOL. That said... I loathe the sound of that dude eating the apple. So disgusting. It may have been the point - but I don't care.
I know you don't often re-record playthroughs but from what I read on the developer's itch page there were a lot of updates shortly after this. Do you think there's a possibility of a revisit?
Slugs & Money reminds me of a n American cartoon that aired from 2005-2021 called "Squidbillies" it was on Adult Swim and I used to get in trouble for watching it since it was past bedtime lol. Also every single box is a console? WHERES HE HOAGIES
