An overview of using the Furthrrrr Generator complex oscillator. Here is the index:
00:00 demo jam
03:57 module overview
04:36 tuning
05:08 amplitude modulation
05:42 balanced modulation
06:04 Furthrrrr modulation (FMing the wavefolder)
06:38 frequency modulation
07:28 carrier to modulator feedback
08:23 soft and hard sync (with feedback)
09:20 multiple modulations at once
09:58 filtering & layering
The next movie dives into the different types of modulation the Furthrrrr Generator supports - exponential, linear, and through-zero linear - and then there will be three additional movies on the modulation bus, the waveshapers, and sync for my Patreon supporter ( / learningmodular .

This sounds great! Finally, a video that makes it clear how powerful this module is, and in a concise manner. Keep up the great work.

This helped me a lot to wrap my head around what I'm actually doing, way more than any other videos I've come across (all of them). This thing is deceptively simple looking, much appreciated.

Easily my favorite eurorack faceplate of all time. Holy smokes, that pcb board also looks like it was hand drawn, like old roland modules! What a work of art.

I have an older version. The newer versions have a much more robust ground plane, FWIW. But yeah, it has that snakey feel.

is that cheap worth buying?

By "cheap" did you meant the Strong Core chip? If so, definitely yes, in my opinion.

Played with one and it was nice but not $750 nice..that price tag, man..

I was fortunate to find a used one at a good price. It's an older unit, so it might be more prone to noise, entrainment, etc., but it's certainly one of my favorite complex oscillators.

I really like the sound of the Endorphines stuff, but the graphics make it look like a Playskool toy to me. I know lots of people like that look, but I just have a whole different aesthetic going in my racks. I stay away from a lot of Make Noise modules for the same reason. That being said, I have huge respect for both company’s and their sound. I do own Make Noise modules too, it’s just if another company makes something comparable and it doesn’t use odd pictures or symbols I’ll usually go for that.

Maybe see if Magpie or Grayscale make an alternative panel. For me, I found the panel graphics confused me more than aided my understanding of the module (although a lot of them - once you know the module - do indeed show groupings etc.). But once I put my head down and figured out how the module actually worked - and the manual is excellent, BTW - then those distractions fell away. The only other thing I would cite is the lack of contrast does impact readability as well; I have issues with low light and visual acuity, so maybe I'm more sensitive to that sort of thing.

Ah! Here you go - a Grayscale panel: grayscale.info/panels/endorphines-furthrrrr-generator/ (Sold out; they need to be talked into making more, I guess...)

Oh wow, I really like that faceplate for it! I know it’s a shame to change the faceplate after someone took the time to poor their artistic ideas into it, but I really like clear concise labeling. :-) Thanks for taking the time to look that up Chris! I really appreciate all that you’ve been doing for the modular and synthesis community!

I concur! I feel the same about this and the Make Noise panels. I wasn't aware of how amazing this module sounds. Just hard to take seriously with the way it looks. I like panels that help explain what the module is capable of rather than occlude functionality. I'm also annoyed by idiosyncratic nomenclature, like Morphogene's reels, splices and genes. Just call it what it is. Save me the trouble of cross referencing your silly name with something I already understand. Sorry for the rant. I guess that had been building.

I own one by dumb luck i got a killer deal on bothe furtherrr and the Terminal which add up to a pretty solid modular voice with adphone stereo out! The pictures dont do the faceplate justice because endorphins looks very boutique and expensive the switches look resally nice and the knobs are solid and screwed onto the pot, it sounds amazing creamy and growly
