Quick corrections with the stats on screen: Grip Circumference and Grip Length are both listed as just "grip" and the grip circumference of the EX (non-6.0) is 107, it's swing weight. The core on the pro is *wild* lol, I appreciate you actually peeling open these new/expensive paddles for the possibility of such a cool hidden/unlisted spec like a new core material!

I love the new Pursuit EX 6.0 Pro 16mm. This paddle is a BEAST!! I have been using the CRBN1X and loved it until now. The Engage EX has the same face length as an elongated paddle with shorter handle and a bit more width. The spin is awesome, balanced feel, great control at the net, and awesome power. I believe Engage finally did it!! I can still do a two handed back hand with finger overlap. I chose 8.2 weight and it’s perfect for me. I can feel the difference in my paddle battles at the net with the 114 SW; fast, fast, fast!! The only request to make this THE MOST PERFECT PADDLE, is fix the handle to a real octagon shape. The 5.0 grip doesn’t allow me to add an overgrip which I prefer. That being said, this paddle is AWESOME!
@lazyhusband

You can cut those balsa humps off and make a new pair for an octagon grip. Can also make side plates out of 1/32" birch plywood and glue them on with RC56. Grind down that sharp core edge with a dremmel. At that price I would think it should have a molded handle like a Legacy Pro.

Minor detail but I believe there’s a typo at 1:36 for the EX grip measurement (107 when it should be 4.25”) and a minor formatting error with the bold font of the MX grip measurement

I have the EX 6.0 Lite version and it is an awesome paddle and currently my Go-To paddle for doubles but can be a little poppy into the kitchen but makes up for it with put-away power. Spin is great. Sound is loud. Grip might be a little too thick. Yesterday, I played back to back with the Engage and with a Selkirk Labs 003 Epic with a bunch of weight on it and I also liked that a lot. Both are very close but I felt that the Selkirk moved a little better in the air so I ordered one of those as well. I am waiting on the LUXX also.

A reminder that veterans get half off engage paddles. You can buy two paddles a year. This is why I will always stick with engage. And frankly, I’m not that great of a player to distinguish the paddles qualities from one another. It’s the player first, not so much the paddle.

The EX 6.0 model feels clunky compared to my Ronbus R1 Pulsar. Maybe it's the shorter handle or the square shape compared to hybrid, at the baseline my backhand drops and forehand drives feel very off. Really wish Engage would adopt the hybrid shape with a 5.3-5.4 inch handle.

@zachcarmichael699 Actually I don't think 6 months is too short at all. If i don't need to use the warranty in the first 6 months, it is highly unlikely I will ever need to use it. If something is wrong with the paddle I will definitely know before 6 months. That's just me.

$250 retail for non thermo seems WAY too pricey. The MX is favored more likely because of resets being an integral part of the pro game.

@@dychax707 That's not necessarily true though, Julian Arnold plays with the non power line from Volair, and plenty of Selkirk pros do not use the 002/Power series. Paris Todd as an example uses the 006 which is definitely more of a control oriented paddle.

To cover marketing, R&D/product design, and salaries for sponsored pros. But even with those factored in, I agree -- paddles should really be $150 max. I think there's also something to be said about naturally perceiving higher price point with higher quality and performance...e.g., if it's $250, then surely it's inherently better than the $150 paddle.
