Hi Jordan, loved your review on the pursuit paddle. I know a guy who is very good that uses it and I’d like him to see the review on. It sounds like a nice paddle. I currently play with the bad prison and I like it I added a little lead to the top of it made it to top heavy, so I’m gonna go with the lead on the sides like you had to try it out tomorrow. Your reviews are excellent. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
The lifetime warranty is HUGE! I agree that this definitely helps justify the higher price and gives the buyer a lot more peace with the decision. Thanks for commenting!
Good video on the vaticpro man, I’m lookin to upgrade my paddle and was wondering if you preferred the DBX 14mm over the vatic prism 14mm. I was lookin in the comments for DBX over the vatic and wanted your opinion. Great stuff!
Thanks!! I haven't tried the DBD 14mm yet, but I am a big fan of the 16mm! Right now the pursuit pro and the DBD are the top two I use at the moment! I feel it has great spin and makes my speedups easy to dip :)
That paddle is very head heavy and there is really nothing you can do to change it. Adding weight to the handle will not lower the swing weight at all.
Oh shoot! Mine were demo paddles so not too sure! I might order their newest paddle that just released- if I do I will let you know if that came with a cover! 🙌
I think the hard sell on this is the construction…. Even if it plays fantastic, simply looking at how a thermo paddle is constructed (time it takes manufacture and the stability/quality, from a frame standpoint, it provides) it’s hard to justify paying so much on a lesser quality/tech paddle. Once you actually see the construction of a thermo paddle and how solid they are, it’s hard to spend big $$ on a unibody paddle (that’s not thermoformed and only has foam in the guard). Like to me, those paddles shouldn’t be more than $100 bucks max…$260 is pretty WILD. And thermo paddles should be $150-$175 MAX. And then you’ll always have the $200+ Joola and Selkirks….
Totally understand what you're saying - I agree that the audience for this paddle is smaller - but that's why I mention your audience is smaller, but still there. I think it's not ever going to be the best value on the market, but as long as Selkirk and others are on the market at this price, you have to take into account the benefits it has at this price. For me, I still think the prism flash or the v7 flash are the best value paddles, but if you have extra money and want a paddle that does a couple things a little different/better depending on your style, this is a great paddle too. Thanks for your comment!
@@jordanplayspickle I get you. I’m sure there’s a lot of brand loyalty that will come into play also. I mean, this is an established enough brand that their marketing team knows there will be enough of a demographic that will purchase this (to justify the price point).
Lol. Thermoformed paddles have problems with the core getting crushed because of all the heat you have to use to heat the core so much more to thermoform. Engage does not Thermoform because it weakens the core and delaminates.
@@bart1476 that’s a great point as well, even though there’s definitely an audience that prefers the field of a thermoformed paddle, it definitely harms longevity overall.
@@bart1476 I’m well aware of the process. Now tell me the cons of a paddle that’s NOT thermoformed. You left that part out…. It’s also a much more time consuming process, increasing the cost. Which was my main point. What’s driving up a non thermo paddle to $260?? I mean, I know the answer….Apparently you don’t.
