In case you were wondering, here is the disposition of the General Motors Diesel (GMD; Electro-Motive's Canadian subsidiary) F40PH locomotives operated by GO Transit (GOT): GOT 510 (GMD serial number A3495): to Amtrak 410 in 1990; retired from Amtrak around 1999; sold to Larry's Truck and Electric; being scrapped in McDonald, Ohio as of 2013. GOT 511 (GMD serial number A3496): to Amtrak 411 in 1990; retired from Amtrak around 2001; leased or sold to Agence métropolitaine de transport (Montreal, Quebec commuter rail; French for "Metropolitan Transit Agency"; now Exo) as AMTL 411; to Larry's Truck and Electric after 2012; leased to the Saratoga and North Creek Railway (operated by Iowa Pacific Holdings) by 2015 as SNC 411; returned to Larry's Truck and Electric by 2018; stored in good shape in Lordstown, Ohio. GOT 512 (GMD serial number A3497): to Amtrak 412 in 1990; final disposition unknown (Can someone who knows tell me what happened to 412?). GOT 513 (GMD serial number A3498): to Amtrak 413 in 1990; retired from Amtrak after 2000; stored at Amtrak's Bear, Delaware shops by 2005; converted to Non-Powered Control Unit (NPCU: an EMD F40PH rebuilt by Amtrak as a cab car, mostly with a baggage compartment in place of the engine) by 2008 as Amtrak 90413; still in service. GOT 514 (GMD serial number A3499): to Amtrak 414 in 1990, retired from Amtrak in 2002; stored at the Amtrak shops in Rensselaer, New York as of 2002; final disposition unknown (Can someone who knows tell me what happened to 414 as well?). GOT 515 (GMD serial number A3500): to Amtrak 415 in 1990; repainted in blue and light gray paint for Pacific Surfliner service before being retired around 2001; stored in Nashville, Tennessee until 2004; sold to the Panama Canal Railway Company that year; exported to Panama renumbered PCRC 1861 by 2009, in service on freight and passenger trains. My Favorite episode is the LRC and I agree that they did for via more than the P42s and I appreciate you for educating me on such a obscure subject. You are someone I will never forget.

The first engines if via episode (the history of cn and cp passenger) because it helped me with my school project i chose.

I do remember riding on the GO Train from Port Credit to Toronto from the very beginning of GO Transit back in the late '60s. As I remember it, there was no air conditioning in the passenger cars at that time, and boy was it hot. I really, really enjoyed the rides.

Probably my favorite engines of via is the f40ph one. Now i just want i to know i was just a usa ho modeler now after seeing your engines of via series i now have 3 walthers mainline via rail bud cars and getting more includeing a via rail walthers mainline f40ph 6400 with sound. You have definitely inspired me to model some via trains. So thank you and keep up the good videos!!

How to say that my favorite engine of VIA is the ALCO FPA-4 locomotive that were built by the Montreal locomotive works only 21 engines were built and a lot of them are still in service today at railroad museums and tourist railroads as in a historic note FPA-4 #6793 was the last of the engines built and it resides on the Grand Canyon Railway in Arizona today there is a recent video of the 6793 powering the train during the winter of 2016 and 2017 the engine has gone through to paint changes it was originally Pullman green with gold stripes it was later changed to Silver white with gold stripes to match their stainless steel passenger car Fleet but above all the FPA-4 isn't that a bully my favorite because I grew up with an old PETREX video of engine #6771 in service on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad as their engine 305 mostly it's my favorite because Canadian Holden M3h horn sounds great and is indelibly one of my favorite air horns on a locomotive

The reason that they were sold was because they couldn't pull a 10 car train and have 3000 HP for the engine.
