Watching in 2021.Nothing like 4 slices of peanut butter and jam sandwiches, black coffee and watching 1990's test cricket. My absolute favourite era of cricket.
Jack Bannister often liked to say, to a skied shot, "that might be out...And Is!!". He did again here for the wicket of Ramprakash. Under-rated commentator who was also reasonableness personified and very balanced in his appraisal of the action . Used to only really criticise or praise players when merited or deserved.
Enjoying these retro cricket uploads, please keep it up. Something about yesteryear compared with today. Not overly anamoured with the modern game. Probably showing my age, I'm the same with football as well!
Jeff Dujon rated Patrick Paterson the quickest of all the West Indian bowlers he kept wicket to. His test match figures don't really do justice to what a frightening prospect it was for batsmen to face up to him.
Hello Khan, Day 4 was abandoned without a ball being bowled. There were 30 minutes of play at the start of Day 5 and England took two wickets. Play was abandoned a few hours later. I was living in London at the time and went to Lord's for the 5th Day. Sadly, no highlights were shown, so I would love to know if anyone out there has any footage of those 30 minutes. Thank you for your interest, DARREN
