What did you like about being an Enneagram 5 child? What was hard about your childhood?

for me it was usually my family calling me an expert as a kid bc I did all kinds of crafts, experiments and although they didn't have any bad intention, I felt "mocked" in a sense because I felt like my privacy was exposed and I wasn't a fan of that. Unfortunately growing up I had less and less privacy so I lost my passion for exploring, but I hope one day that will change.

As a 5, one of the stories my parents told about me was, when I was around 2, I would ask "why?" constantly. When I was told to not do that anymore, I immediately turned around and said "how come?" This was pretty spot-on for my childhood, though I also have a pretty strong 4 wing, so I have (and had) those feelings of being different, not belonging, feeling inadequate, etc.

I thought this could be my husband but actually it sounds like my dad. Even though he had six kids he is content alone. He’s got so many interests. Anytime I get any of his books on topics he’s been studying it’s loaded with notes. I have never heard of this topic before. Interesting.
