I actually saw a woman get busted at a Walmart this past Friday. She was going out the door and a guy came from the outside before she could walk out. She didn't believe he was security because he was in regular clothes. Another employee confirmed it. She tried to argue until they said they would let the police handle it.
That's exactly what it was. The employees would have no legal right to prosecute for the shoplifting because it's not their stuff. What they would have prosecuted him for was the threats he made against the employees.
I remember when i was a kid there was always a bulletin board at the grocery stores with ppl’s pictures and it said “Do NOT cash checks from these people’. Lol
Just this week, a guy stole a keyboard from my music store… As he was fleeing the building, he lost both of his shoes, and his shirt. He turned around, and yelled at us, to give his shoes and shirt back, but wouldn’t give us back the keyboard. We said, give us the keyboard back, and you can have your shoes and shirt and be on your way. True story. He was caught by the police, the subway…
The cpl with the man and his wasp sunglasses are actually habitual shoplifters and are trying to support their drug habit. They’re on RU-vid quite often.
Im glad the 1st one is just a clip and we can move on to the next one. I watched the full video somewhere else and she was such a migraine in the waiting. Should've arrested her for falsely identifying her eyes with those peacock lashes. I think they're her blindspots everytime she blinks when driving.
I am of a mixed mind on this- usually these people are just thieves, BUT I'm 57 and when I was 10 years old back in 1976 in NYC I was in the market with my father and a homeless man who looked like he was about to die of starvation was caught stealing a loaf of bread and some sandwich meat. The Shop manager and the butcher from the meat section cornered the man in the checkout aisle and proceeded to kick and beat him. My father called the police from a pay phone outside the market and told the police that this man looked like he was dying of hunger and that the store clerks had just beat him within an inch of his life- kicking his ribs and head. He was still arrested and I never knew what happened to that man. All I do think 47 years later is Jesus saying in Matthew 23 saying that at the end of days you will be judged by the maxim "I was hungry and naked and you did not feed or clothe me"...most of these people ARE crooks but sometimes they are truly desperate and they should have not pressed charges given the horrible beating this man received and instead put him in a shelter of some sort since he was ill and possibly mentally ill. Yes he committed a crime and should have legal consequences but to beat him silly like an alley pub fight was not called for over $5 of food
Billboard would never work here. You see, she wasn't lying, they can't embarrass her because there are certain people who don't get shamed or embarrassed by things like this. In fact, many of them post online what they get away with and a billboard would make them a star to their friends and Family.
It probably varies state by state, but you don't necessarily have to leave the premises to be charged with shoplifting. Having the intent of shoplifting can get you charged with shoplifting even if you didn't actually do it.
Public shaming doesn’t work anymore. I think this new generation thinks it’s a badge of honor. This generation has mastered the art of being offensive, and when caught, claiming victimhood. Just like five year olds.
All these damn shoplifters are such a waste of air. They'll try that cognitive dissonance crap on you or pull off an almost award winning performance and make excuses, but never want to address their actions.
I completely disagree with daz on that video he saw. Nothing he was stealing was worth a life. Only self defense should be the reason it escalated that far not a dang robbery
'What happened?' Well it was in California and less than $1000 so she was probably out the next day and given a Burger King gift card for the inconvenience
What is REALLY messed up... if the one that ran off in cuff fell on her face and hurt herself.. the cops would have been in trouble. Her safety is their responsibility. And you can't say "but she ran off.." because .. how did she get the opportunity to run?
