Popping in late just to say, you are aware the XF was a thing in the game already, right? If I'm not mistaken the XF is the CCX and the XXR is the Agera R. Both simply stunning cars, so yeah, it is a shame the new additions don't hold their own.

The Vagner is God tier, but they *Really* messed up on the XXR. Could've at least made made it a a bit slower than the banshee and have the downforce of the nerfed 787b (I forgot the name). I thought it would be more like the Agera R not a CC8

Matthew Gorres It's not bugged. The Pariah gets its speed from a much higher level of engine upgrade compared to everything else. It's a 400% full upgrade compared to the usual 100%.

After I impulse purchased it and realised how underwhelming it was, I searched for hours for a video that would explain why the XXR was behaving the way it was. They might watch this video, but they will rip off the information that has been researched long and hard for only so that they can make pointless 10 minute videos giving their "thoughts" without actually doing any research themselves just for their own personal greed. I don't care if I offend the fanboys and fangirls out there, let them come at me, I won't change my mind on what I have to say, what I have said in the past or what I will say. If it wasn't for guys like Broughy or any one in NoDo, who else would be there to gather the relevant information and results from hours upon hours of research, oh wait, I forgot, there would be nobody. I thank Broughy and NoDo for all the hard work they put in to make sure that the information that players receive is as accurate as it could possibly be. I am not always one to repeat myself, but thank you again Broughy and the NoDo guys for putting in all this time and effort to get all of this information and making sure that it is relevant and accurate

At a glance a lot of people would think that what ever car in the thumbnail is the new fastest and would want to check it out, imo he needs to change how he titles those

I would like to say, I understand that not all expensive cars need to be fast, but they shouldn't be utter dogshit either. In addition, the original Entity is faster, you said that during your testing video, or at some point, anyway. That shouldn't be the case. I'm not asking for the XXR to blow the Vagner out of the water, I'm asking for it to be better than it is.

All video comparisons at 9:15. Every part of the video is important to get an understanding of what's going on, but make sure you stay until 9:15 to see the things I'm talking about for yourself. Also the Hotring Sabre is one of the few from this update (including drip feed cars) that still benefits from kerb-boosting. It doesn't have all of the flags the others do.

Do you think that in the same way that they are adding these attributes to new cars to test for new formula to make driving more realistic in the next series. That they are intentionally using bugs to make cars faster to test for a bigger map? Because that indicates the new map would warrant higher speeds due to its size. That could also be why we are seeing cars break what used to be a hard coded speed barrier that they have to intentionally use bugs like "Tires can Clip" to get higher speeds due to game engine limitations. Maybe that's why they are adding guns to Sports Classics ect to test more in depth car customization. Or maybe it would it be a case of "Yes military vehicles have guns and players like them but they are slow and meant for off road so why not give them the option of fast cars with guns".

Curb boosting is a big part of what makes racing in this game fun. Especially Stunt races would be absolutely horrible without it. The cars are already too slow as it is, and making them even slower is a terrible idea.

I'm baffled though by the fact that even the new cars are slower on perfectly flat stunt road pieces than on the normal highway. Really wouldn't have thought that! But I see it with my own eyes ...

The new "physics" should be applied for all other cars. Honestly.. I hate things like "Kerb boosting", using offroad tires to go faster R* should remove it ASAP. But they should add some more speed aswell because cars (especially supercars) are really slow in GTA already.

ReSpawN the new physics are applied to all cars, cars have less body roll as well as other various things making them easier to drive ... however they don’t have the new flags

"Fucked-Finding" is back! In all honesty, this makes so much more sense. Obviously you wouldn't drive your car stupidly fast on a piece of road where there's potholes, uneven asphalt, etc. All these updates could indeed have been nothing but a clever guise to experiment with different sorts of mechanics.. And I wouldn't really mind these new vehicle coding if it were to be applied to all the vehicles, but that may very well be the case in the newer installment of the game should there be another. As always, very informative video bossman! And reverse Hotring races should be a thing kappa

Firstly I'm glad my one car is the Vagner. Awesome race! And second, I think that I almost could understand that about the new car mechanics. Thirdly that is really pretty bad that they are wanting to use us as guinea pigs, and not only that. But we are also supposed to be paying them for this dubious honor.

Great video. I have to say that your videos have helped me a great deal. Especially with the hierarchy of my garage. That highlight of the difference between city and highway is really helpful. I now feel justified as my suspicion about that is confirmed. But I'm just a car nut lol. I know the Albany cars are slow but I am from TX and in H-town slabs are a thing so in Los Santos you might catch me ridin in one escaping the LSPD lol

It sucks that one of my all time favorite vehicles was part of this particular test group and can't be competitive, but I actually kinda like how these new cars perform. I hated the fact that going over a curb at high speeds was not only fine, but encouraged in this game. I know it's done so that people wouldn't constantly crash and damage their cars, but going over objects clearly higher than their bumpers should have been made less beneficial. R* isn't known for overly realistic physics, but they somewhat try to model real world situations, and having a supercar hop over a curb and benefit from it always struck me as odd. So it's nice to see curb boosting toned down for these cars, but their top speeds are a sin, especially given what the Taipan and XXR are modeled after.

If they're gonna test new mechanics under the guise of an update, they could at least not do it with expensive as fuck cars that are modelled after some of the quickest and fastest cars in the world. Ffs Koenigsegg Agera R in real life is literally the fastest production vehicle and rockstar managed to turn it into an in-game rust bucket.

I'm gonna open the hate box here. Depending on how testing goes, I kinda hope R* add this to pretty much all cars that are currently in the game, removing bump-boosting would be great in my opinion. But I expect a lot of people will not agree since they "gotta go fast"

Dudbun it gives variety to the cars. Making some faster then others if they all were as good as the Vagner the races wouldn’t be any fun. Everyone would just have the same car which ever was cheapest. Doing research before buying a car in game is just part of it.

I'm going to drop the game if this happens. Yes curbing makes you faster, but you also need to be a better driver to capitalize on it. That's the balance right there.

For me, it's either all cars kerb boost, or none do. I like kerb boosting myself because it weeds out the players who don't actually care about racing in stunt races, for example. It's not a big issue tho, just a preference.

@ SteamTheWizard, why should people have to relearn the game after more than 4 years of playing it? Curb Boosting has always been a part of the GTA series. If people want "realistic" racing buy iRacing, or Assetto Corsa. This is a arcade style game, with arcade style physics.

I never knew about the curb boosting thing in GTA V, and I always assumed when I was driving in the city it felt faster because there are more points of reference flying by than out in the country (Especially since there is no official in game speedometer outside of lobby speed trials). I also forgot how much grip the Vagner has, as I've been driving around the Tzeract getting my monies worth and noticing its horrendous lack of grip.

Beignets we reunined it period had a guy do codes fot it that knew nothing about cars. Youll see its options in custimaztion are shit and was rushed. I tryed getting involved with the supra. But was on the development for elli and ken aka drif ford. Prob gonna get written up for thus rant. This dlc had such good potential but rs wanted us to add these new car scripts and make cars terrible in my eyes. Not a bug and will not be fixed sorry to say

The Supra has already been ruined: - Wrong manufacturer (Dinka instead of Karin) - Wrong name (Jester Classic instead of anything else) - Wrong class (Sports Classics instead or Sports) - No liveries - Compared to other cars in the update like the Issi Classic and the Cheburek, it looks poorly modeled

Removing curb boosting is good because it makes racing lines more important that how many curbs you can hit. It does seem to me like they fully understand that cars are the reason for most shark card sales and that racing within GTA is bigger than it being a military style game.

Is the Hotring affected too? I've been doing those races and I see guys kerb boost and they pull away, even though custom cars are off and so is catchup and slipstream. They start hitting those bumps and give out a big fat "See ya!" lol

If they're going to implement new features like this, they should update old stunt tracks to work with their speed. I cannot make jumps on stunt races in the Sabre at all.

Does this also apply to the Hotring Racer? I've been curb glitching in all the HRR Races, & It seems to still be working. Only for the HRR though..

This is very informative for when I go next gen. I'm just not 100% sure on anything. I guess what I do generally is I have one super for fastest overall, and one for fastest top speed, then maybe another for style preferences. Which of your videos cover last gen? IIRC they stopped transferring characters almost one year ago at this point. So other than patches for certain things, they have not updated anything. As it is on last gen I've not been able to unlock everything because either I've raced all the land races solo that are available, or when I do get people to race against I'm competing against someone who already has fully upgraded vehicles. I've wondered at the R* editor and if I could get my remaining wins that way by making various different races like that.

hHi broughy, i noticed when i was doing some rockstar stunt races, that when i try to do a barrel roll in the air its so much slower than previously and the car can barely do it. Is it something to do with this?

Hey Brough, question you know the rumble strips that go up the side of the highways when you drive over them in like an x80 does this count as curb boosting? Because I notice u drive over them in your top speed testing videos.

No they have no effect unless you weave over them for a prolonged period of time

I love how this video fires indirect shots at Digital Car Addict, who had a whole deal about which super car had the fastest top speed, along with his evidence in another video... and how he was certain that his testing is the 100% truth. You weren't allowed to disagree. This completely abolishes that. I love it.

the hotring sabre has a bug too. anytime you're car shifts down to 2nd like in the comet ect you hit the gas and get a speed boost. in the sabre you actually lose all power to engine but still get the rev sound. basically if you feel it's about to double clutch don't let it let off the gas for a sec

So does this affect the new Sabre Hotring as well? I’ve done a couple of non-contact Hotring Races, one in a custom upgraded Sabre and one in a stock version, kerb boosting throughout. Each time I seemed to be getting about a 1 second per lap advantage and managed to win both races.

Not all the new cars have all the flags. Even through the Hotring feels a bit weird in free roam, I believe it does kerb boost. In my experience in pub races with Customs and catchup off, about 4 seconds a lap on La Mesa HRRC, though no idea on what frames the random's pcs were running.
