We originally had no plans and really no clue what we were going to be doing for the holiday season. All we thought was that we weren't going to be with our family and that a nice, cozy, quiet time, just the two of us and Seawind was sounding pretty nice.
As time and miles passed by and we realized that there was a chance of making it to where some friends of ours live in Delray Beach, we decided to accept the challenge with hopes of a tropical holiday. BOY were we surprised at the warmth and kindness that awaited us.
We had an absolute blast getting to know these friends who now are considered family as well as making many new friends in the area. Oh and we got to visit a TURTLE REHABILITATION CENTER. Can you tell we were excited?

It is June 2024. Happy to have found your channel. Made it up to episode 22 and must say you have a real knack for video editing. Looking forward to watching one or two episodes a day. Will eventually catch up to your current location.

So Funny just found your channel and I happen to liv e in Delray Beach so I thought I need to watch this one only to discover you stayed in Tropical Bay condo’s where I own and live. I remember seeing your boat when you were here as you know very few sailboats so I noticed yours. I retire in 9 months and hope to buy a sailboat in Europe and play over there for a few years until I’m too old! Safe sailing

According to the interwebs, Neoprene is an Italian-designed, 108’ luxury charter yacht that rents for $60k per week.

Just trying to catch up with your great videos. Hopefully you marked on the cans with a marker since the labels will eventually come off. And with your bottle stash, you added some padding to prevent breakage. You probably thought of that already. Can't wait for your further adventures. Fair Winds and Following Seas.

Thank you, John! I've seen people take the labels off of their cans and mark them as well. We haven't marked ours yet. We did use a bit of padding in the bilge and its worked so far! Cheers!

It was a pretty awesome looking super yacht but we're with you on that! Thanks, Phil! Hoping to visit Australia someday. Free Range Sailing is one of our favorite channels if you haven't already found them. Cheers 🍻

What footage gets cut and what goes to production? What is it that people want to see? Feedback from one viewer, best shot of this video was Katy on the floor completely surrounded by provisions. Great job, I enjoy watching your progress. See you next week

Hey Jarrod! Funny, Katy and I have been talking about the word "production" a lot lately. The different types (pre-production, production, and post-production) are concepts that I am very new to. So far, most of the production is in post (after filming). We are so off the cuff and candid that there hasn't been much pre-production or planning of what we are going to film. The original goal was to just start creating videos and to get a feel for what it takes, if I enjoyed it, and start developing a work flow for it all. Lately I've been really interested in putting more thought and time into pre-production. I think that is ultimately the next step in creating higher quality videos.. Trouble is, there isn't much staging that can be done in such a spontaneous lifestyle. Nor do I want to make the videos feel staged or pre planned. I do like capturing raw and real moments. My goal though, is to incorporate more pre-production in a way that blends with our fast paced, always changing lifestyle. I also have to keep reminding myself that this progress won't happen overnight and that's okay! I tend to be hard on myself when it comes to the quality of stuff I make (not just in this video production but in every aspect of my life). To answer your questions, a lot of footage gets cut. I ask our patrons at times for feedback and everyone seems to enjoy what I'm producing. I always welcome feedback and your comments always have great insight! It wasn't until I read what you said about Katy being surround by provisions that I realized that it was probably one of the best visual representations of what we had going on at that time. As always, thanks so much for your feedback!!
