Episode 3 of our film photography road trip across America picks back up as we leave Salt Lake City, Utah and make our way to the Grand Tetons. In this episode we end up at our amazing AirBnB in Swan Valley, ID. It's a Yurt!
My goal for this series is to bring you along with me and share my experiences shooting film on the road! What camera, lens, and film would you have shot at in and around the Yurt?
Cameras I shoot on this trip: The Olympus XA 2, Pentax 67, my Leica M5 (of course), and even a couple disposable film cameras! My film of choice, as always, is LOMO 400 (and a little LOMO 800 here and there).
Thanks for watching!

We talked about it already, but DAMN! Idaho is gorgeous. Totally caught me off guard on my trip last year.

Very cool seeing this. I drove through this same area maybe 1-2 weeks after you did. The truck stop with laundromat is about 2 miles from the house where my father-in-law grew up. And I remember seeing that ice cream sign on the silos somewhere between Rexburg and Driggs but I can't remember exactly where. Great seeing this place from someone else's eyes.

I wonder if views like that ever gets old if you live with them every day. My guess is they don't. I used to live on the top floor of a building taller than everything around it for miles, and that very mundane view never did get old - it was in fact the only good thing about the place, but that's another story. Wonderful shots - some of them actually remind me of some of my own rural shots.

When I lived in Durango, Colorado it never got old. Nature, when done right provides endless inspiration and awe. Thanks so much for watching!
