The short ride from Nouakchott to Senegal, riding my Vstrom on the infamous road to the Diama border - and then entering Senegal earlier than I expected.
Hi Ian. You signed off by saying your viewers have made an old man happy. Well, I want to tell you how happy you have made this here even older man too. I have to admire your lane splitting skills in street traffic where no lanes actually exist. AWESOME stuff. As we say here in Ireland, "Go on, you mad yoke you!" And that's a compliment, Sir.
I have been so impressed with your African adventure and the performance of the V-Strom, so much so I've been to my local Suzuki dealer this morning and ordered one! 👍👍👍
Wow...! Whatever you do, dont fall into the trap of doing what most VS owners do - and spend a fortune on bolt-on-bits. Just ride it, enjoy it and change bits solely through necessity.
Pleased you've found a decent place to camp at the Zebra Bar. Sounds perfect. Keep taking the fluids to keep yourself hydrated and I can't wait for the next episode. Ride safe Ian 👍👍👍
Ian you will be familiar with the saying! Yer aff yer heid! Loving these videos, following you all the way,got number 20 still to watch then I'm up to date, brave or mad I've still to decide 🤣 take care and haste ye back.
Thoroughly enjoying the videos of your amazing trip, and hats off to you for what you’re doing! I’m now inspired to add some commentary to the videos I’m going to do next year, when me & a friend will be riding from England to Poland.. All the best, Paul
You were verrrrry skillful riding a big bike slowly in very tight traffic. That was uncanny. Like others here I very much enjoy the music and would love a playlist. Congratulations on getting to Senegal.
Ahhhh, but you dont hear me screaming and the look of horror on my face...!!! Alas, to use music on YT it has top be royalty free music to avoid copyright issues, so I purchase my music from Epidemic sounds and i can only use these track with youtube as theyre commercial songs.
Suzuki should give you a brand new V Strom 1050 for free! Your journey and your reports are absolutely worth it. There is no better advertisement for the Suzuki V Strom.
I'm following your adventure journey episode by episode with growing enthusiasm. Inspired by your love for Yorkshire Tea, I ordered a pack from Amozon. I have to say the taste is great and I'm not disappointed. Hans, Bavaria (land of beer drinkers)
Great Vid was surprised to see you went straight to the border but great going do you have any tips on the border crossing did you pay a fixer or did you do it yourself all the best mate and keep riding safe
Hello there Ian, know that you're doing fantastically well all things concerned ! Another great video full of highlights from you, it's good to see you're in good spirit after what you've gone through in this video I must admit I'm really impressed with your riding skills especially navigating through those challenging dirt roads with your heavy bike, that's a sign of experience and talent not to mention patience, kudos to you ! I also love the fact that you don't talk whilst riding, only when you take a deserved break, much safer method. As I'm watching from a comfort zone, though I wishing I was out there taking it all in. I'm enjoying your music too, it's really soothing whilst watching those ever changing skies and landscapes, surrounded with animal life, truly fantastic ! I wished you had spent a little more time in Mauritania, it's another beautiful diverse country, their light outfits are well suited for that kind of heat. Other than this, please make sure you always have plenty of water, food and gasoline. Have a fabulous time and stay strong out there
Enjoying your trip and advice in advance of my own planned trip to Morocco next year. Worried that you were riding without your helmet strap done up and no gloves. A personal choice I know but even a slow speed off might have serious consequences. Stay safe.
I knew I could not source tyres my size so I fitted the Motoz GPS because they have a long road-life, 12-14k miles. I've done over 6k now and they still look good.
Your videos get better by the day, indeed I honestly reckon you're up there with Richy Vida for compelling viewing. I certainly don't get itchy boots to watch anyone else....Stay safe.
@@onemanonebike8514 Thanks. Good luck en route to Gambia. Watch that heat. One of our group got heat stroke. I had to ride his C90 across the border. Shade. Liquids. Rest stops.
Explorer 6813, good news, since the posting of your comment great leaps in technology have been made and allowed you to “mute” the music that you don’t like while others can still listen to it. Huge win right,, I know. Since he is only talking when he’s on camera, you should be all set. I hope you find that helpful.😊
Great Vid was surprised to see you went straight to the border but great going do you have any tips on the border crossing did you pay a fixer or did you do it yourself all the best mate and keep riding safe
I did this one all by myself. It was quiet, only two other vehicles so it was easy to bumble around looking confused and asking for help. I think they took pity on me...
