Hi Ellen Karen from the British Isles cruise here, I don’t consider this a fail just a different vision of what you had in mind. I agree Van goh looking. The mountains and rolling lush hills I agree I could look at all day every day. I loved every part of the cruise as well but like I’ve told many people my favourite part was meeting you 💖. Take care
That very first slice of soap is absolutely gorgeous! I’ve honestly never commented before on a bar of soap being so beautiful. The silhouette and shadowing on a beautiful mountain with amazing blue and white skies overhead are just gorgeous. You can’t go wrong trying to replicate God’s beautiful creation! This wasn’t a fail at all! Absolutely stunning!
Aw wonderful Ellen, I’m from Scotland & LOVE living here, I never get tired of the scenery! 🙏🏻I’m so happy you enjoyed your visit, your soap still looks beautiful! 😊
I’m so glad you shared this and I love how you laughed at yourself. So important to be able to have fun with what you are doing. I do like the final product! You are an amazing teacher! 🧼⛰️
I think they are beautiful!! Looks like starry, starry night over the mountain! My daughter lives in Scotland and I really want to visit there one day!!
Thank you for this awesome video - I’m so glad you showed your easier and neater process to get the soap batter into the piping bag. I’ve always struggled with that!
The sky reminds me of Van Gogh. I like it a lot. I seem to remember you made a Starry Night soap once. Now you have that scene in the daytime. 🥰 I'd just cut the tops off and have nice rectangular soap bars. Sometimes you have to let go of part of your creation to make what remains better. Writers call it "killing your darlings." The soap bank would appreciate your "bloppy tops."
I am so glad you enjoyed such beautiful scenery❣️❣️❣️ I think these bars turned out BEAUTIFUL! If I pipe, it is ALWAYS a hot mess!😂 I think the cut bars are gorgeous!
I actually think the top looks like clouds poofing above the mountains. Abstraction of Scottish hills (which I've seen, I think I took the same itinerary that you might have). I think it's beautiful. All of it!
The bloppy top looks like clouds. If it didn't have the extra green in it, I'd say perfect 👌! It's still a beautiful soap bar. I'd love to smell the fragrance. Thanks for sharing, even if you feel like it's a fail. I'm sure all soapers have moments like these. ❤
It looks beautiful ❤❤❤. Just wanted to ask how much buttermilk powder do you add to soap as I am a new learner? Thank you so much I love all your videos ❤❤❤
There’s a face on the left top side of the first slice of soap, so cute. I wouldn’t call it a fail, just different than what you had in mind. No worries! Hugz, Tree
Haha, funny. Your oopsies still look like masterpieces to me. Mine look like something that the cat dragged in & spit up, lol. Love your videos & your soaps! I've been making your laundry soap bars & detergent recipe & have decided that I will NEVER buy laundry detergent again...everything comes out SO CLEAN!! Thank you so much, Ellen, for your wonderful recipes!
I was going to ask what you did for your skin, it is BEAUTIFUL! Do you add anything in particular for your face soap? I struggle with acne and would like to make my own face soap, but have no idea where to begin for additives. You are my soap inspiration and I can’t get enough of your videos!!!
I think you were over critical with this soap. Once you cut it, it looked great. Your vision was to create mountains and it was accomplished. It looks awesome. Keep creating masterpieces
Your soap still looks great, you’re an inspiration to watch and listen to. Have you ever made shampoo and conditioner bars using cold process? I remember you made them using Stephsons syndapour melt and pour base. Did your hair like the melt and pour shampoo bars? By the way, your trip sounded wonderful. Thank you for inspirational videos.
I've tried a few CP shampoo's over the years, but we have hard water and my hair ended up feeling tacky after a while. I really liked the MP shampoo base, no build up.
First of all love you and your channel, much respect. I ran this recipe through the lye calculator at 5% superfat and 28% water, ?cleansing was 23-yikes and creamy only 23. Was this a mistake? Wisconsin gal here and look forward to your videos!
I think it looks buitiful! Should call it stary starry night! ✨️ reminds me of the painting. Reminder to you all we don't make mistakes only happy accidents! 😂😅
Ellen I just had to come on here and tell you I think your soap is amazing Like the sky aspect reminds me of Van Gogh I love the little tufts of clouds Everything about it. Please don’t say it’s a fail. I say a happy accident Sending much love and blessings from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤
Ellen redo the soap!! Send these bars to eco soap bank and start over now that you know it's slow moving. You can start over and know how long it's going to take for it to start setting up and be prepared to handle the white. Plus you'll be helping eco soap bank in the process!!! These colors are very pretty but I know you can remake it and have it turn out like you want. Maybe just not use TD in the next batch??
Hi Ellen, I'm going to craft event this weekend and setting up but I don't have a logo or name as I don't have a business, so what do I need other then the ingredients of my product on the labels, am I suposed to put a phone number, address ect?
What’s your email Ruth? I have been trying to contact you. I would like to learn to make lotion but don’t know where to buy the products. Thank you God bless
